Prayer Service in Malang, August 05, 2014 (Tuesday Evening)
Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 1:17
1:17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.
John was exiled to Patmos Island to suffer in the flesh without any sin because of the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, thus he fell at Jesus’ feet as dead or worshiping God with a broken heart until the flesh does not sound anymore.
John feels the touch of God’s right hand and he experiences three things. The first one is “do not be afraid,” it meansrenewal to our feeling until there is no fear. Fear is the main killer at the last days in physical and spiritual life until perdition.
Falling at Jesus’ feet or worshiping God with a broken heart until the flesh does not sound anymore will make us experience the feeling renewal so there is no fear but confidence.
There are three kinds of confidence as follows:
- The confidence facing the day of Judgment or the white throne.
1 John 4:17
4:17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
The sin that is judged at the white throne is the sin through deed, saying, mind, up to the peak of sin that is the sin of eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage.
Matthew 25:41-42, 45
25:41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
25:42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;
25:45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’
The selfishness is everything that we do not do for the building of the body of Christ or for others who are in need even though one is already moved by God through the Word. It means one does not want to give and visit.
Matthew 5:23-26
5:23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,
5:24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
5:25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.
5:26 Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny.
The practice of having the confidence facing the throne of judgment is reconciliation with God and others. If we are forgiven, do not sin anymore. It is also forgiving and forgetting others’ sin. The sin is solved by Jesus’ blood and we experience the ambience of heaven, calm and peace, everything becomes easy and light. If one keeps the sin, he will live in the ambience of judgment, curse, labor and heavy burden, until perdition.
- The confidence toward God.
1 John 3:21
3:21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God.
If our heart does not condemn us, there is calm and peace because the sin is solved so we have confidence toward God.
Hebrews 4:16
4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
It is like coming boldly to the throne of grace or praying for grace of God to be helped in time. It means believing and surrendering fully to God, waiting His time.
For God, helping us is easier than flipping the palm. If God does not help yet, it means He is still busy with our heart. If we patiently wait His time, Jesus as the High Priest will fix all problems in due time, even the impossible ones.
- The confidence to greet Jesus’ second coming.
1 John 2:28
2:28 And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamedbefore Him at His coming.
It means we are not afraid and ashamed to greet Jesus’ second coming on the glorious clouds in the glory of King of kings, the Bridegroom of heaven.
Numbers 12:1, 10, 12-14
12:1 Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
12:10 And when the cloud departed from above the tabernacle, suddenly Miriam became leprous, as white as snow. Then Aaron turned toward Miriam, and there she was, a leper.
12:12 Please do not let her be as one dead, whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb!”
12:13 So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “Please heal her, O God, I pray!”
12:14 Then the Lord said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, would she not be shamedseven days? Let her be shut out of the camp seven days, and afterward she may be received again.”
Being ashamed is being spat on face because of self-truth. The self-truth comes from the interest and the lust of the flesh that makes one not obey the Word. One’s life will be afraid and ashamed in the world until Jesus’ second coming.
The practice of confidence facing Jesus’ second coming is the life renewal from carnal men to spiritual ones that starts from obedience. The shame will be changed into glory and beauty in time.
On the cross, Jesus was spat willingly to erase all spit on our face. The shame is replaced to become beautiful in time.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
We are changed as glorious as Jesus is, the Bride of heaven that is ready to be lifted up on glorious clouds when He comes a second time; we are together with Him forever.
God blesses us.
