Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 9:22-27 is about our following to Jesus.
Luke 9:22 is about the direction of our following to Jesus, namely going to New Jerusalem.
Luke 9:23-26 is about the requirements of our following to Jesus.
The requirements of our following to Jesus are as follows:
- We must deny ourselves and take up our cross (verse 23).
- We must willingly lose our life because of Jesus (verse 24).
- We must be free from the influence of the world (verse 25).
- We are not ashamed and afraid because of Jesus and His words (verse 26).
Luke 9:279:27. "But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste deathtill they see the kingdom of God."
The result of our following to Jesus is we shall not taste death. It means we are not controlled by the death, but we become the perfect body of Christ who is ready to greet when He comes a second time on the glorious clouds.
Who could be the bride?
- All nations from the four winds.
Matthew 24:30-31
24:30. "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
24:31. "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
There are only two kinds of nation in this world, namely the Israelites (God's chosen people, the physical generation of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) and the Gentiles.
All of us are blood and flesh men, but we can be perfect through a great sound of a trumpet, namely the true teaching word that is sharper than any two-edged sword.
Through the teaching word, we can experience the renewalfrom carnal men to spiritual ones, so we can be the bride of God to greet His second coming.
The word that is sharper than any two-edged sword cuts the sins (the first sharpness) and grows new good characteristic (the second sharpness).
- People who die and live in Jesus.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52
15:51. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed--
15:52. in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
We shall not all sleep, but some people will live until God comes. But, being dead or alive is not important. The important thingis we obey the true teaching word (trumpet sound) as long as we live in this world, so we always experience the renewal of life.
When Jesus comes a second time, there are two great moments as follows:
- People who die in Jesus will be risen in the body of glory.
- People who live in Jesus will be changed into the body of glory.
The two will become one perfect body of Christ who is ready to greet when Jesus comes a second time on the glorious clouds. The two will not be controlled by the death.
Luke 9:27
9:27. "But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God."
Matthew 24:31-3224:31. "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
24:32. "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tenderand puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.Experiencing
the renewal of lifeis the same as
becoming tenderlike the fig tree.
The things that must be changed or become tenderare as follows:
- The heart.
Jeremiah 17:1
17:1. "The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron; With the point of a diamond it is engraved On the tablet of their heart, And on the horns of your altars,
The hard heart is the same as keeping on sinning. So his sin is engraved on the tablet of his heart (it becomes permanent) and on the horns of the altars.
Formerly, there was The Altar of Burnt Offerings in the Tabernacle that had horns on its four corners. If someone sinned accidentally, he had to run to the altar and hold its horns, so he was forgiven.
The sin is engraved on the horns of the altars means there is no more remission of sins.
The sign of having permanent sinis one begins to disobey God. The hidden sins will grow up to the peak of sin, namely sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage.
It is the same as becoming the bride of Satan who will be destroyed.
The hard heart must be changed into humble and tender heart.
Being humble means the ability to confess sin to God and others. If being forgiven, do not sin anymore.
Being tender means the ability to forgive others' sin and forget it.
So, the blood of Jesus will wipe all of our sins and we become obedient, faithful and peaceful.
The peaceful heart is the place of Holy Spirit. Our life is led, anointed, and filled up by Holy Spirit until He overflows in us.
- The tongue.
Matthew 12:36
12:36. "But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
The hard tongue refers to vain and lying word, evil speaking and gossip until blaspheming God.
The hard tongue must be changed into wholesome tongue.
Proverbs 15:4
15:4. A wholesome tongueis a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.
Our tongue determines our destiny from this world to the Heaven.
The facts found in the wholesome tongue are as follows:
- True and good words, so everything becomes good.
1 Peter 3:10
3:10. For "He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit.
- The tongue that is controlled by Holy Spirit, so one can pray with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:26
8:26. Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Praying with groanings which cannot be uttered means we can pray with broken-heart or the tongues.
Acts 2:1-4
2:1. When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2:2. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
2:3. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
2:4. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
The process of the fullness of Holy Spirit in our life is He burns our heart to become gentle.
Then, Holy Spirit touches our tongue, so we can worship God until speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gives us utterance.
The results are as follows:
- Holy Spirit purifiesus, the Gentiles.
Romans 15:16
15:16. that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
The Gentiles who are like dog and swine are sanctified by Holy Spirit, so we can live in righteousness and holiness. We become acceptable before God.
Romans 12:11
12:11. not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
We can minister to God faithfully and fervently until the last line.
- Holy Spirit gives victoryover all problems until the impossible ones.
2 Kings 6:16-17
6:16. So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them."
6:17. And Elisha prayed, and said, "LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
- Holy Spirit performs spiritual miracle, namely changing us from carnal men to spiritual ones.
2 Kings 2:11
2:11. Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
Until Jesus comes a second time, we are changed to become as perfect as Him. We become the bride of God who is worthy to greet His second coming on the glorious clouds.
God blesses us.
