Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 11 is about "The Model Prayer".
God has a desire that we become the house of prayer, namely ministering God until we can worship Him, so we experience the renewal of life up to perfection.
In Luke 11:14-23, there are
three kinds of hindrance that hinder us to become the house of prayer as follows:.
- [Luke 11:14-20] Beelzebub or Satan as the king of the world.
- A strong man who rules over the house.
ad. 2. A strong man who rules over the house.
Luke 11:21-22
11:21. "When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace.
11:22. "But when a stronger thanhe comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils. He refers to Satan with evil and unclean spirits which want to control our life, so
we become the den of thieves, not the house of prayer.
Mark 7:21-237:21. "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries(1), fornications(2), murders(3),
7:22. thefts(4), covetousness(5), wickedness(6), deceit(7), lewdness(8), an evil eye(9), blasphemy(10), pride(11), foolishness(12).
7:23. "All these evil things come from within and defile a man."
The forms of evil and unclean spirits which want to control our life are as follows:
- adulteries,
- fornications,
- murders,
- thefts,
- covetousness,
- wickedness,
- deceit,
- lewdness,
- an evil eye,
- blasphemy. It starts from lying, slandering others, up to the blasphemy to God.
- Pride or relying on something more than God.
- foolishness
These are twelve evil and unclean spirits that replace twelve loaves on the table of showbread. It means that
we do not have the word in our heart anymore.
The daily practices of the spiritual house that is controlled by a strong man (the evil and unclean spirit) are as follows:
- Living in cemetery delightfully.
Mark 5:1-3
5:1. Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes.
5:2. And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
5:3. who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains,
The cemetery refers to the place of the extension of the hand of death that puts to death our spirituality.
The example is discotheque, cinema, casino, a spectacle that is not good, evil company, false service or fellowship, et cetera. He does not like to minister to God, read the bible, or pray. It is the same as leaving the gate of heaven.
- Being wild.
Mark 5:4
5:4. because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him.
It means not being shepherded, but walking about. He just fulfills the lust of the flesh and ear, so he cannot be reproved or advised.
His tongue is wild. It means that the mouth speaks lie, slanders others, et cetera.
- Falling and rising in sin up to the peak. His life is like being thrown down by the strong man.
Mark 9:17-18
9:17. Then one of the crowd answered and said, "Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit.
9:18. "And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not."
Sin of eating-drinking refers to smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse.
Sin of marrying-giving in marriage refers to sexual sin with all of its kinds.
Isaiah 30:14
30:14. And He shall break it like the breaking of the potter's vessel, Which is broken in pieces; He shall not spare. So there shall not be found among its fragments A shard to take fire from the hearth, Or to take water from the cistern."
The sin ruins human's life up to being useless and perishing forever.
We must defeat the strong man by the power of God, so we are delivered from his hands.
Our cleverness and power are unable to face the strong man. We can face him only by the power of God as follows.
- Being silent, namely repentingor doing introspection by the sharpness of the sword of the word.
Isaiah 30:15
30:15. For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: "In returningand rest you shall be saved; In quietnessand confidence shall be your strength." But you would not,
Finding sin, we must confess to God and others. Do not sin anymore after being forgiven!
We repent so we receive the blood sign and Satan cannot touch us.
Romans 6:2, 4
6:2. Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
6:4. Therefore we were buriedwith Him through baptisminto death, that just as Christ was raisedfrom the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
After repenting, we enter the true water baptism, namely we who have died to sin or repented must be buried in the water with Jesus and come out or rise from water with Him to receive new life or heavenly one (living in righteousness). We will experience Holy Spirit baptism. Holy Spirit stays in and controls our life.
1 Corinthians 6:19
6:19. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
1 Corinthians 3:16
3:16. Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
1 Corinthians 6:20
6:20. For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
1 Corinthians 7:23
7:23. You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men.
We become the temple of God to glorify Him, namely being active in ministering to God.
The resultis being saved and blessed by God.
- Being calm= being shepherded.
We persevere in the three kinds of main service as follows:
- The Golden Candlestick= perseverance in committing General Service. We have fellowship with Holy Spirit God in His gifts.
- Table of Showbread= perseverance in committing Bible Study Service and Holy Communion. We have fellowship with the Son of God in teaching word and Christ's sacrifice.
- Golden Altar of Incense= perseverance in committing Prayer Service. We have fellowship with God the Father in His love.
In the sheepfold, our body, soul and spirit attach to God the Trinity, so Satan cannot touch us. We are able to obey God. We experience serenity and peacefulness. We receive extra power from God.
1 Peter 1:22
1:22. Since you have purifiedyour souls in obeying the truththrough the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,
The power of purification rejects the evil and unclean spirits, and the bitterness of heart. We can experience the unity. It starts from marriage or household.
1 Peter 4:7
4:7. But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
Being calm also means that we control ourselves, so we do not hope others, but only trust and hope to God.
We can pray and worship God. We become the house of prayer.
Repenting and praying are the same as stretching out our hands to God, and He will stretch out His hands to us.
Exodus 14:16, 21
14:16. "But lift up your rod, andstretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
14:21. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided. The result is that the Red Sea is divided. It means as follows:
- There is the opened way or the way out of impossible problem. Everything is finished in time.
- The hands of God give the serenity and peacefulness.
There is beautiful future. All things become easy, light, beautiful, and successful in time.
- We are used in the revival of Holy Spirit in the last rain or the building of the body of Christ.
It continues until we are changed to become perfect. We are worthy to greet when Jesus comes a second time on the glorious clouds.
God blesses us.
