Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 9:10-17 is about Feeding the Five Thousand.
Luke 9:10
9:10. And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privatelyinto a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.
Jesus went aside privately to avoid Herod's work. The cruelty of Herod is the same as Satan's act in the form of temptations in all things as follows:
- impossible problem,
- sins up to peak of sin, namely sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage,
- hatred without a cause,
- up to the antichrist who reigns in the world for three and half years. In the age of antichrist, the sons of God will be tormented until beheaded if they do not want to worship antichrist.
To confront with the cruelty of antichrist, our attitude is going aside.
Going aside is the act to be far away from Satan who works by the power of sin, flesh and the world.
It is also the act to attract God's mercy.
Going aside also means praying.
But, we must be watchful because there are true prayer and false one.
The true prayer is driven by true teaching word.
In the Tabernacle, there are twelve loaves that are arranged in two rows, six in a row on the Table of Showbread (6-6). It means our heart and mind must be filled by true teaching word. There is incense on the loaves. It means if our heart and mind are filled by the word, we will be driven to worship God.
The teaching without prayer will become knowledge only, so it is debated like the scribe did.
On the contrary, the prayer without true teaching word is an abomination before God.
Proverbs 28:9
28:9. One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination. The true prayer must fulfill the measurement from God.
There are
three measurements of true worshipbefore God as follows:
- By a reed like a measuring rod, namely shepherding word.
Revelation 11:1-2
11:1. Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, "Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there.
11:2. "But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty–two months.
If our worship does not fulfill the measurement, we will enter the persecution of antichrist.
The measurement with the word is obedience until our flesh does not sound anymore.
Abraham obeyed God until his flesh did not sound anymore, namely he sacrificed Isaac, his son.
Mary was obedient to conceive without husband.
Obeying the word will result wisdom from the Heaven and it determines our success.
Ecclesiastes10:10
10:10. If the ax is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge, Then he must use more strength; But wisdom brings success.
The wisdom is used to face antichrist too, so we get away from him and are given two wings of a great eagle from God by which we may fly to the wilderness and be far from the eyes of antichrist for three and half years.
Revelation 13:18
13:18. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.
- By Holy Spirit, namely silence, rest, serenity and peacefulness by Holy Spirit.
Revelation 8:1-5
8:1. When He opened the seventh seal, there was silencein heaven for about half an hour.
8:2. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.
8:3. Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altarwhich was before the throne.
8:4. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.
8:5. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.
Being peaceful means as follows:
- There are no more fear, doubt and anxiety, so we can live in righteousness. Otherwise, we cannot live in righteousness.
- There are no more uncleanness, wickedness, hatred, revenge, and envy.
If we have the peace, everything will be easy and light until we are like Jesus who was able to sleep in the boat that was covered with the wind and waves.
In the last age, there are two opposite situations in the world as follows:
- God's worshipper who fulfills the measurement of peace will become more peaceful and calm up to silence in heaven for about half an hour and we enter the Heaven.
- The situation in the world is increasingly uneasy with shock in all things until doomsday.
- By the love of God, namely we have to experience redemption by the blood of Jesus.
Revelation 5:8-10
5:8. Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty–four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
5:9. And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your bloodOut of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
5:10. And have made us kings and prieststo our God; And we shall reign on the earth."
What are we redeemed from?
- We are redeemed out of every tribe and nation, namely the world with all its influences.
James 4:4
4:4. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
The world with all its influences makes us unfaithful in ministry.
If we are redeemed, we can be faithful in ministry.
- We are redeemed out of people, namely flesh with all its desires.
Romans 8:7
8:7. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.
Having the lust of the flesh, one may not obey the word.
But, if we are redeemed from flesh, we can obey the word.
- We are redeemed out of tongue, namely mouth saying true and good word or being honest, saying yes if yes and no if no.
Proverbs 15:8
15:8. The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.
1 Kings 8:29
8:29. "that Your eyes may be open toward this temple night and day, toward the place of which You said, 'My name shall be there,’ that You may hear the prayerwhich Your servant makes toward this place.
So we will become the house of prayer.
We call God's name, so His eyes heed us night and day.
God regards and knows our state.
He struggles with us for doing the things as follows:
- Opening the door of the Heaven for us. It means He pours out physical and spiritual blessing as well as the one for our household.
1 Kings 8:35-36
8:35. "When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against You, when they pray toward this place and confess Your name, and turn from their sin because You afflict them,
8:36. "then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of Your servants, Your people Israel, that You may teach them the good way in which they should walk; and send rain on Your land which You have given to Your people as an inheritance.
- Giving victory over enemies to us. It means He finishes all problems up to the impossible ones.
1 Kings 8:33-34
8:33. "When Your people Israel are defeatedbefore an enemy because they have sinned against You, and when they turn back to You and confess Your name, and pray and make supplication to You in this temple,
8:34. "then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them back to the land which You gave to their fathers.
- Lifting us up from fall. He renews our life to become true and holy.
1 Kings 8:46-47
8:46. "When they sin against You (for there is no one who does not sin), and You become angry with them and deliver them to the enemy, and they take them captive to the land of the enemy, far or near;
8:47. "yet when they come to themselves in the land where they were carried captive, and repent, and make supplication to You in the land of those who took them captive, saying, 'We have sinned and done wrong, we have committed wickedness’;
Until Jesus comes a second time, we are renewed to become perfect like Him. We are lifted up with Him forever. We worship Him on the glorious clouds until we are on the throne of the Heaven forever.
God blesses us.
