Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 11:37-54 is about '
Woe to the Pharisees and Lawyers'
The Pharisees and Lawyers only prioritize the physical thing in their ministry and do not prioritze the word of God, so they are fulminated by God with six times of 'woe'. We learn
the third one.
Luke 11:44
11:44. "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like graveswhich are not seen, and the men who walk over them are not aware of them."The Pharisees and Lawyers are like graves. It means that they look holy and true outside, but they are full of decay, wickedness and uncleanness inside.
The facts found inthe servant of God who is like graves are as follows:
- Being unfaithful up to leaving the ministry because one looks for the physical thing in the world.
Isaiah 22:15-19
22:15. Thus says the Lord GOD of hosts: "Go, proceed to this steward, To Shebna, who is over the house, and say:
22:16. 'What have you here, and whom have you here, That you have hewn a sepulcher here, As he who hews himself a sepulcher on high, Who carves a tomb for himself in a rock?
22:17. Indeed, the LORD will throw you away violently, O mighty man, And will surely seize you.
22:18. He will surely turn violently and toss you like a ball Into a large country; There you shall die, and there your glorious chariots Shall be the shame of your master's house.
22:19. So I will drive you out of your office, And from your position he will pull you down.
Being over the house means that we work for God, so He takes care of and guarantees our life.
Unfortunately we often become fool. We leave the ministry (the work in the kingdom of Heaven) to hew a sepulcher for ourselves. It means that we are not faithful. We leave the ministry because we look for the physical thing.
The consequences are as follows:
- The atmosphere of heaven becomes the one of graves, namely one experiences spiritual dryness, weariness and heavy burden, toil, and tears.
- Being tossed by Satan as a ball. It means that one falls and rises in sin up to the peak, namely sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage.
- Being naked. It means that one cannot get his ministry anymore. He is ashamed and unable to return to heaven.
- One serves and ministers to God but he does not experience satisfaction.
Numbers 16:8-11
16:8. Then Moses said to Korah, "Hear now, you sons of Levi:
16:9. "Is it a small thing to you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to Himself, to do the work of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to serve them;
16:10. "and that He has brought you near to Himself, you and all your brethren, the sons of Levi, with you? And are you seeking the priesthood also?
16:11. "Therefore you and all your company are gathered together against the LORD. And what is Aaron that you complain against him?"
The consequences are as follows:
- Murmuring because of demanding the right, namely the physical reward, commendation, honor, position, et cetera.
- Provoking othersand doing rebellion against the work of God.
Numbers 16:12-14, 19
16:12. And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, but they said, "We will not come up!
16:13. "Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, that you should keep acting like a prince over us?
16:14. "Moreover you have not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor given us inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you put out the eyes of these men? We will not come up!"
16:19. And Korah gathered all the congregation against them at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. Then the glory of the LORD appeared to all the congregation.
It is the same as hewing mass graves.
Numbers 16:31-33
16:31. Now it came to pass, as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground split apart under them,
16:32. and the earth opened its mouthand swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods.
16:33. So they and all those with them went down alive into the pit; the earth closed over them, and they perished from among the assembly.
The earth opened its mouth means entering the persecution of antichrist for three and a half years.
Revelation 12:15-16
12:15. So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood.
12:16. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouthand swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.
There are two possibilitiesin the age of antichrist as follows:
- One cannot survive, so he worships antichrist. He will be destroyed with antichrist when Jesus comes a second time.
- One keeps worshipping Jesus, so he is tormented up to being beheaded by antichrist. He will be risen when Jesus comes a second time.
That is why we have to minister to God with faithfulness and satisfaction.
Luke 17:7-8
17:7. "And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come at once and sit down to eat'?
17:8. "But will he not rather say to him, 'Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourselfand serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink'?
The requirementis that we have to minister with girding ourselves. It means that we minister to God faithfully and trulyuntil Jesus has eaten and drunk or He is satisfied.
As a result, Jesus will satisfy us. We are taken care of physically and spiritually, so we always give thanks to God. We do not need to look for satisfactions in the world anymore.
- Not being shepherded. It is like the Israelites who refuse manna (the shepherding word).
Numbers 11:4-6, 33-34
11:4. Now the mixed multitude who were among them yielded to intense craving; so the children of Israel also wept again and said: "Who will give us meat to eat?
11:5. "We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic;
11:6. "but now our whole being is dried up; there is nothing at all except this mannabefore our eyes!"
11:33. But while the meat was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was aroused against the people, and the LORD struck the people with a very great plague.
11:34. So he called the name of that place Kibroth Hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had yielded to craving.
Psalm 78:23-25
78:23. Yet He had commanded the clouds above, And opened the doors of heaven,
78:24. Had rained down mannaon them to eat, And given them of the bread of heaven.
78:25. Men ate angels' food; He sent them food to the full.
Manna is the same as angels' food or the shepherding word.
The Israelites refuse the shepherding because they pursue the fleshly thing. Consequently, the become wild. They sin up to the peak.
Revelation 21:8
21:8. "But the cowardly(1), unbelieving(2), abominable(3), murderers(4), sexually immoral(5), sorcerers(6), idolaters(7), and all liars(8) shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
One may be able to get fleshly thing, but he cannot enjoy it, until he is buried in the lake of fire and brimstone.
In the shepherding, our flesh is repressed. We can enjoy the hard and repeated sheperding word and obey it.
It is the same as stretching out our hands to God, and He will stretch out His hand of great mercy.
The results are as follows:
- There is the guarantee of certainty for our life now physically and spiritually up to eternal life.
John 10:27-28
10:27. "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
10:28. "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
- The hands of God are able to exalt us in due time.
1 Peter 5:6
5:6. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
The hands of God uplift us from the fall into sin up to the peak, so we can live in righteousness and holiness.
The hands of God uplift us, so the failure becomes success and beauty.
We are used by God in the revival of the Holy Spirit at the last rain.
- The hands of God are able to lead us to the last sheepfold, namely the New Jerusalem.
Revelation 7:17
7:17. "for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd themand lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
We are purified and changed from fleshly men to spiritual ones like Jesus. It starts from honesty or not lying.
The physical miracle happens too. The impossible thing becomes possible. We are changed up to perfection when Jesus comes a second time. We are with God forever.
God blesses us.
