Luke 1:1-41:1. Inasmuch as many have taken in hand to set in order a narrative of those things which have been fulfilled among us,
1:2 just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word delivered them to us,
1:3 it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus,
1:4 that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed. The yearning of Luke is to record all things that have already happened.
Acts 1:1-21:1. The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
1:2 until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen,
Luke had a full faith about everything that was taught and was done by Jesus, starting from Jesus was in the womb, He was born, His activity, the journey in cross until He was dead upon the cross, and up to Jesus was lifted up to Heaven.
Luke recorded all those things in the gospel of Luke systematically, so it became the true teaching Word.
The signs of the true teaching Word are as follow:
- It is written in the Bible.
Matthew 4:4, 7, 10
4:4 But He answered and said, "It is written, `Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'"
4:7 Jesus said to him, "It is written again, `You shall not tempt the LORD your God.'"
4:10 Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, `You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.'"
The proof is that Jesus always said "It is written" against the temptations of Satan three times.
If the Word of God is written in the Bible, the difference is that it has the power of victoryover Satan, sins, problems, and over the obstructions.
- It was said by Jesus himself.
Meaning the Word of God which is revealed, that is one verse is explained by another verse in the Bible. The verse is the Word of Jesus. If the verse (the Word of Jesus) is explained by another verse (the Word of Jesus), it means the teaching Word is the Word of Jesus himself.
The Word which is revealed contains the power of sanctification.
John 15:3
15:3 "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
If there is the Word that purifies, we will be able to remain living in holiness in the midst of all association with the world.
Luke showed the persona of Jesus as a human. Jesus is a hundred percent God; Jesus is a hundred percent human.
Meaning, Jesus is God (in the form of the Word, the Holy Spirit, and the love) who was born to be same as the humans.
Why was God born to be same as the humans in the persona of Jesus? To make human be reborn to be same as Jesus to inherit the Heavenly Kingdom.
Where can we get the new birth / life renewal?
Romans 12:1-212:1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your reasonable service.
12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what [is] that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.We will experience the renewal of life through the true worship to God. People who do not worship God certainly do not experience the new birth but keep being flesh and blood human, their lives will be perished.
The marks of the true worship are as follows:
- Presenting your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God.
John 6:63
6:63 "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and [they] are life.
The living body is a body that is controlled by the Holy Spirit. The proof of the living body is being active/ faithful and fervent in spirit in service and ministry to God.
Psalm 119:9
119:9. BETH. How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.
The holy body is a body that is filled by the true teaching word. The proof of the holy body is living in righteousness and holiness, do not want to sin, do not want to hide sins, and do not accept sins.
The acceptable body to God is a body that is filled by the love of God. The proof is to be able to love God more than everything, to prioritize God more than anything, to be obedient to God, and to love the others like yourself.
- The power of worship that creates the new birth/ life renewal.
Romans 12:2
12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what [is] that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
In the true worship, God devotes the true teaching word, the Holy Spirit ointment, and the love of God. This is the power of worship that is able to renew and change our lives from carnal man to spiritual man like Jesus.
Starting with the renewing of mind (the mind and the feeling), we are able to have good mind and feeling. Having a good mind and feeling is to be able to distinguish whether it is the true teaching or not, distinguish whether it is the true worship or not. And continue to be able to distinguish whether it is the true things or not in daily life, whether it is the acceptable to God or not. So our deeds and words are true, good, and acceptable to God.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
3:1. But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
3:2 For men will be (1) lovers of themselves, (2) lovers of money, (3) boasters, (4) proud, (5) blasphemers, (6) disobedient to parents, (7) unthankful, (8) unholy,
3:3 (9) unloving, (10) unforgiving, (11) slanderers, (12) without self-control, (13) brutal, (14)despisers of good,
3:4 ((15) traitors, (16) headstrong, (17) haughty, (18) lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
There are the false worships that are the worship that refuses the true teaching word! The result is not having life renewal, so they maintain 18 carnal man characters, until they obey the carnal desires more than obey His word, not being obedient.
2 Timothy 3:8
3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith;
The result is damaged heart and mind, being like the wild animals (antichrist), being naked but not shy.
Jesus must be obedient until died upon the cross to give His mind and feeling to us.
Philippians 2:5,8-10
2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to [the point of] death, even the death of the cross.
2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
We also must be obedient whatever the risks that we face. Then we will be entrusted the miraculous power of Jesus' name, the results are as follows:
- The power of victory, that is winning over Satan the trinity, so we win over the sins and live in righteousness and holiness, winning of all problems, all things are done in His time, and everything will be easy and light.
- The power of lifting up whatever that has failed can become successful, all things are successful and beautiful in His time.
Until at the time of Jesus' second coming, we are lifted to the glorious cloud and changed to become as glorious as Him, together with Him forever.
God blesses us.
