Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In the Tabernacle, Luke 7:36-50 refers to the Door of Tabernacle, namely the anointing of Holy Spirit.

There are three persons in this story as follows:

  1. Jesusas the baptist with spirit.
Jesus dies, rises and ascends to the Heaven to pour out Holy Spirit.

  2. A woman who was a sinner[Luke 7:36-38].
This woman refers to the one who experiences the anointing of Holy Spirit. There is no reason for the Christian to become dry, because even a sinful woman can be anointed by Holy Spirit if she comes to God, confesses her sins and leaves it.

  3. Simonthe Pharisees who rejected Holy Spirit.

Now, we learn about Simon the Pharisees.
Luke 7:39-47
7:39. Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, "This man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner."
7:40. And Jesus answered and said to him, "Simon, I have something to say to you." So he said, "Teacher, say it."
7:41. "There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
7:42. "And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?"
7:43. Simon answered and said, "I suppose the one whom he forgave more." And He said to him, "You have rightly judged."
7:44. Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head.
7:45. "You gave Me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in.
7:46. "You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil.
7:47. "Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little."

It can be concluded from this story that Simon is the person who likes using self-truth. It is like Adam and Eve sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.
It means as follows:

  1. A sinner feels sinless.
Consequently, he never confesses his sin.

  2. One feels that he is true/holy.
It means covering sins by blaming others (the woman who does sin), feeling more righteous than others until blaming God ('ifHe were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner').

One who uses self-truth is the same as the stiff-necked people or rejecting Holy Spirit.

Exodus 32:9,17-18
32:9. And the LORD said to Moses, "I have seen this people, and indeed it is a
stiff-necked people!
32:17. And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, "
There is a noise of war in the camp."
32:18. But he said: "
It is not the noise of the shout of victory, Nor the noise of the cry of defeat, But the sound of singing I hear."

Singing is the state of stiff-necked people, 'It is not the noise of the shout of victory, Nor the noise of the cry of defeat'. It means being lukewarmand it is the same as the state of church in the last age, namely the one of Laodiceans that is neither cold nor hot.

Revelation 3:15-16
3:15. "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.
3:16. "So then, because you are lukewarm, and
neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

Be careful! While Jesus is ready to baptize with Holy Spirit, and a woman who was a sinner could receive the anointing of Holy Spirit, but there is a person who rejects the anointment and becomes lukewarm.

The practice of spiritual lukewarmness is as follows
:

  1. Being neither cold nor hot.
Not being cold means not being peaceful but only having envy, hatred, revenge, fear, worry, a lot of questions in his life and impurity.

Not being hot means not being faithful and fervent in spirit in the ministry or being faithful but not being fervent in spirit anymore.

Consequently, he will be vomited by God('I will vomit you out of My mouth'), so his life becomes like vomit. It means as follows:

    1. He does not satisfy God but embarrasses Him.
    2. He is not useful for God, but becomes stumbling-block for others,
    3. Living in uncleanness or the peak of sin.

This kind of life will perish forever.

  2. Being neither dead nor raised.
It means one does not experience renewal of life, die to sin, nor rise in the new life (from carnal men to spiritual ones).

    2 Timothy 3:1-5

3:1. But know this, that in
the last days perilous times will come:
3:2. For men will be lovers of themselves
    (1), lovers of money(2), boasters(3), proud(4), blasphemers(5), disobedient to parents(6), unthankful(7), unholy(8),
    3:3. unloving(9), unforgiving
    (10), slanderers(11), without self–control(12), brutal(13), despisers of good(14),
    3:4. traitors
(15), headstrong(16), haughty(17), lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God(18),
3:5. having a form of godliness but
denying its power. And from such people turn away!

Perilous times mean that it will be hard for many people to change although they have already been in the Temple of God.
Lukewarm of stiff-necked people reject the power of worship('denying its power'), namely the cross and the Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword.
Consequently, they keep flesh and blood men with eighteen flesh characteristics and are stamped with 666 by antichrist.

The practices of being broken in heart are as follows
:

  1. One always longs for the Word of God.
    Psalms 119:20
119:20. My soul breaks with longing For Your judgmentsat all times.

If we long for the Word of God, we will experience its working, namely showing the hidden sins, so we realize, regret and confess it. If we are forgiven, do not sin anymore.

  2. Appreciating and raising the sacrifice of Christ.
    Luke 20:17-18
20:17. Then He looked at them and said, "What then is this that is written: 'The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone’?
    20:18. "
Whoever falls on that stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder."

It means that we willingly suffer in the flesh without any sin for Jesus.
If we would like to experience the suffering in flesh without any sin for Jesus, we will experience the renewal of life from carnal men to spiritual ones like Jesus or we yield fruit (renewal= yielding fruit).
The sweet fruit is we do not lie.

    Ephesians 4:23-26,28
4:23. and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
4:24. and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
    4:25. Therefore,
putting away lying, "Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one another.
    4:26. "
Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath,
    4:28.
Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.

There is no sweet fruit if we still lie.
Do not steal, especially stealing God's, namely the tithes and special offerings.

We fall on the cornerstone means we totally surrender ourselves and put the sacrifice of Christ as a base of our whole life.
If we are broken in heart, we may come to the throne of God.

    Isaiah 57:15
57:15. For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

If we are broken in heart, we have relationship with God. God comes to us and we may come to His throne.
From the throne of God flows living water or the anointing of Holy Spirit.

    Revelation 22:1
22:1. And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

The usefulness of Holy Spirit is as follows
:

  1. Reviving the spirit and giving comfort for us.
    Isaiah 57:16
57:16. For I will not contend forever, Nor will I always be angry; For the spirit would fail before Me, And the souls which I have made.

God revives our spirit, so we are not disappointed and discouraged against anything. We keep believing and hoping in God, being faithful and fervent in spirit in the ministry.

  2. Holy Spirit is able to give victory to us.
    Isaiah 57:18
57:18. I have seen his ways, and will heal him; I will also lead him, And restore comforts to him And to his mourners.

Holy Spirit finishes our problems up to the impossible one.

  3. Holy Spirit gives us peace.
    Isaiah 57:19
57:19. "I create the fruit of the lips:
Peace, peace to himwho is far off and to him who is near," Says the LORD, "And I will heal him."

We experience serenity and everything becomes easy and light.

    Ephesians 2:13,16
2:13. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
    2:16. and that He might
reconcile them both to God in one bodythrough the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.

Holy Spirit will reconcile Israel and the Gentiles in one body to greet Jesus' second coming.

God blesses us.
