Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The scribe is the servant of God who knows a lot of the words of God, but he does not practice it, so he does not have love.
The proof is as follows:

  1. One does not love God. It is the same as tempting God.
  2. One does not love others. It is the same as having self-truth.
  3. One does not have compassion.

Luke 10:29-33, 37

10:29. But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"
10:30. Then Jesus answered and said: "A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
10:31. "Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
10:32. "Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side.
10:33. "But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him,
he had compassion.
10:37. And he said, "He who showed mercy on him." Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise."

Jesus tells the Parable of the Good Samaritan to explain about loving others (one who practices the word).
A certain man goes down from Jerusalem (the center of spiritual activity) to Jericho (the center of physical activity or trading).

Hebrews 10:25-26

10:25. not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
10:26. For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

Going down from Jerusalem to Jericho means one does not serve and minister to God as is the manner of some, so it becomes habitual sin, namely he does not regret when he cannot serve and minister to God.
If it continues, he deliberatelydoes not serve and minister to God although there is no hindrance. Someday, he is unwilling and unableto minister to God.

Luke 10:30
10:30. Then Jesus answered and said: "A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

The consequences are as follows:

  • Being delivered from the hands of God and falling into the ones of Satan.
Being hit by Satan means sinning up to the peak, namely sin of eating-drinking (smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse) and marrying-giving in marriage (sexual sin with all of its kinds).

  • Being stripped of the clothing. It means one loses his righteousness, holiness, and robe of service. His spiritual life is destroyed, naked, and not beautiful anymore.
  • Being left half dead. It means weariness and heavy burden. We live in suffering and tears.

If it continues, we will receive God's wrath, namely everlasting perdition.

This man meets three people as follows:

  1. A certain priest, an Israelite, but he does not want to help. It means he does not have compassion.
    Luke 10:31
10:31. "Now by chance a certain priestcame down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

  2. A Levite, an Israelite, but he does not want to help. It means he does not have compassion.
    Luke 10:32
10:32. "Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side.

  3. A certain Samaritan, a Gentile who wants to help. It means he has compassion.
    Luke 10:33, 37
10:33. "But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion.
10:37. And he said, "He who showed mercy on him." Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise."

John 4:9

4:9. Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" For
Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.

A priest and a Levite cannot help because the Israelites have no dealings with Samaritans. That is why a Samaritan helps, namely Jesus.

John 8:48
8:48. Then the Jews answered and said to Him, "Do we not say rightly that
You are a Samaritanand have a demon?"

Jesus is an Israelite but He is willingly considered as a Samaritan who has a demon, so He can help the Gentiles who are in the hand of Satan.

Isaiah 52:13-14
52:13. Behold, My Servant shall deal prudently; He shall be exalted and extolled and be very high.
52:14. Just as many were astonished at you, So His visage was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men;

The way is Jesus, who is glorious, must willingly suffers and dies on the cross. His visage is marred more than any man and His form more than the sons of men, but like dog and swine.
Jesus becomes so marred to bear human's badness and sin. He emits the shekinah glory/mercy from His face to us so we experience the glory of Jesus.

The result is the Gentiles experience the renewal of life from fleshly men to spiritual ones like Jesus (we experience spiritual miracle or the biggest one).

We experience the renewal of face. There are three kinds of face as follows:

  1. The face that is pale, afraid, and anxious. If we look at Jesus, our face will be changed to become beaming one. We only trust and commit ourselves to God.
  2. The sad, disappointed, and hopeless face. It is changed to become beaming face. We always give thanks to God.
  3. Bad, evil, and unclean face is changed to become beaming one. We can live in righteousness and holiness.

Then, physical miracle happens too. The impossible thing becomes possible. The thing that has been destroyed, failed, and rotten can be beautiful, successful, and happy in due time.

When Jesus comes a second time, we are changed to become as glorious as Him. We are lifted up on the glorious clouds. We look at Him face to face. We are with Him forever.

God blesses us.
