Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 11: 37-54 is about '
Woe to the Pharisees and Lawyers'
The Pharisees and Lawyers only prioritize the physical thing in their ministry and do not prioritze the true teaching word.
Consequently, they are fulminated by God with six times of 'woe'. It means that they are hard reproved.
Luke 11: 53-5411:53. And as He said these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to assail Him vehemently, and to cross-examine Him about many things,
11:54. lying in wait for Him, and seeking to catch Himin something He might say, that they might accuse Him.
The Pharisees and Lawyers were angry after being reproved by Jesus. They rejected the rebuke and chastisement or purification, so they kept trying to catch Jesus.
Catching Jesus means
separating the body fromthe head. It means
spiritual death.
The factsfound in thespiritual death are as follows:
- Living and enjoying sin up to the peak. One is unwilling and unable to repent anymore.
- One becomes unfaithful in the ministry, even leaving it until he deliberately does not serve to the Lord.
- The relationship between the head and body is the neck. The neck refers to the worship.
It means that one is unwilling up to unable to worship, so he will be forced to worship the antichrist.
Consequently, one does not experience the renewal of life from fleshly man to spiritual one like Jesus. He keeps the flesh and blood man with the lust and attitudes of flesh especially disobedience, so he becomes the same as antichrist (being marked with 666) who will be destroyed forever.
That is why, in our ministry
we must prioritize the word of God and willingly receivetherebuke and chastisement through the true teaching word that is sharper than any two-edged sword.
As a result, we experience
purification of heart(the store of sins),
deed, and
words.
Matthew 15: 1915:19. "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts(1), murders(2), adulteries(3), fornications(4), thefts(5), false witness(6), blasphemies(7).
Matthew 5: 85:8. Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.
If our heart is purified from the seven sins,
we shall see God. We worship God delightfully. We place Jesus as the Head.
Jesus appears as the Head three timesin the book of Ephesians as follows:
- Jesus appears as the King of all kingswho defeats His enemy up to the last one, namely death or sin.
Ephesians 1: 22-23
1:22. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all thingsto the church,
1:23. which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
So, the king is one who winsover sin.
1 Corinthians 15: 25-26
15:25. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.
15:26. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
Placing Jesus as the Head is the same as we worship Him as the King of all kings, so we are appointed as the kings.
The proofis that we have to win over sin up to the peak, namely sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage.
If we have already sinned, we can win over it by making peace or confessing and forgiving one another. We confess our sin to God and others. Do not sin anymore after being forgiven! We also forgive others' sin and forget it.
As a result, the blood of Jesus finishes all our sins, so we can repent, live in righteousness, and hold the true teaching word.
Ephesians 1: 23
1:23. which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
We are saved, and the King is able to fulfill all of our physical dan spiritual needs. Nothing is impossible.
- Jesus appears as the High Priest, the head of the priests and kings or the servant of God.
Ephesians 4: 15-16
4:15. but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ--
4:16. from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
Placing Jesus as the Head is the same as worshipping Him as the High Priest, so we are appointed as the priests and kings or the servant of God who ministers to God according to His trust to us.
The requirementof becoming the priest and king is that we must be in the holy place. It refers to the sheepfold or perseverance in three kinds of main service.
Leviticus 21: 12
21:12. 'nor shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD.
The perseverance in three kinds of main services are as follows:
- The Golden Candlestick= perseverance in committing General Service including youth service. We have fellowship with Holy Spirit God in His gifts. We drink, so we do not become dry but keep fervent in ministry.
- Table of Showbread= perseverance in committing Bible Study Service and Holy Communion. We have fellowship with the Son of God in teaching word and Christ's sacrifice. We are fed, so we do not stumble and fall in sin.
- Golden Altar of Incense= perseverance in committing Prayer Service. We have fellowship with God the Father in His love. We breathe.
In the sheepfold, our body, soul and spirit attach to God the Trinity. We experience purification continuously, so our holiness and the anointing of Holy Spirit are increased.
Going out of the shepherding is the same as going out of holiness.
So, the most importantthing in the ministry is holinessand the anointing of Holy Spirit, so we can attractthe presence of the High Priest and the atmosphere of heavenin the midst of us to make the congregation experience the ministry of the High Priest.
If we are holy and anointed by Holy Spirit, God will commit the ministry and giftto us. We are used in the building of the body of Christ.
Ephesians 4: 11-12
4:11. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12. for the equipping of the saintsfor the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
We are devoted by God. We are given special ministry and the gift of Holy Spirit.
1 Peter 2: 5
2:5. you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
'a spiritual house'= the body of Christ.
The priests are the living stones.
Living stones= beautiful ones that are used in the building of the body of Christ.
As a result, we live from the mercy of God. Our success is determined by the mercy of God.
If we become unfaithful after being called by God, the beautiful stone will become the hard one, even the millstone that is only drowned into the sea like Babylon. He is used in the building of the body of Babylon and destroyed.
Revelation 18: 21
18:21. Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, "Thus with violence the great city Babylonshall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore.
- Jesus appears as the heavenly Bridegroom.
Ephesians 5: 22-27
5:22. Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
5:23. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
5:24. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
5:25. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
5:26. that He might sanctifyand cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
5:27. that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
Placing Jesus as the Head is the same as worshipping Him as the heavenly Bridegroom.
The fact found in it is that we are cleansed with the washing of water by the word. We experience the double purification.
We are purified and changedfrom fleshly men to spiritual ones like Jesus. It starts from obedienceuntil our flesh does not sound anymore. We just cry: Abba, Father, and we are controlled by Holy Spirit.
Romans 8: 15
8:15. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."
Obedience until our flesh does not sound anymore= the wood is overlaid by pure gold, so the wood is not visible.
The usefulnesses of Holy Spirit are as follows:
- Holy Spirit gives extra power,so we become strong and of good courage.
Isaiah 35: 3-4
35:3. Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm the feeble knees.
35:4. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, "Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you."
Being strong and of good courage means as follows:
- One does not get disappointed and desperate as well as leave God.
- Ministering to God faithfully and fervently.
- Keeping living in righteousness.
- Keepingbelieving and hoping God.
- Keeping worshipping God no matter anything that happens.
- The impossible problems are finished.
Zechariah 4: 6-7
4:6. So he answered and said to me: "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the LORD of hosts.
4:7. 'Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of "Grace, grace to it!"'"
- We experience the last miracle when Jesus comes a second time, namely we become as perfectas Him. We are not separated from Him forever. We sit together with Him on the throne of heaven forever.
God blesses us.
