Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 11: 37-54 is about '
Woe to the Pharisees and Lawyers'
The Pharisees and Lawyers only prioritize the physical thing in their ministry and do not prioritze the true teaching word.
Consequently, they are fulminated by God with six times of 'woe'.
THE SIXTH 'WOE'Luke 11: 5211:52. "Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered."The Lawyers take away the key of knowledge of heaven but
they do not enter in themselves, and those who are entering in they hinder.
The knowlegde about the heaven is higher than all knowledges in the world.
All knowledges in the world can be reached by human's mind, but the one of heaven cannot be reached.
How can we understand the knowledge of heaven so we can enter it? Through the faith.
Hebrews 11: 2-3
11:2. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony
11:3. By faithwe understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
Faith is the key of knowledge of heaven, how much more the one of the world.
Faith comes from hearing the word.
The Lawyers have the key of knowledge of heaven but they do not enter in themselves, and those who are entering in they hinder. It is the same as
faith without worksor Satan's faith, and it cannot save us.
That is why we must make effort, so we have faith with works.
The examples and facts found in faith with works in daily life are as follows:
- Abraham.
James 2: 21-22
2:21. Was not Abrahamour father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?
2:22. Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?
Abraham offered Isaac his son as a desired offering of God.
It means becoming obedientto the word until the flesh does not sound anymore, and faithful. It is the same as loving God more than anything or having the first tablet of the two tablets of stone.
- Rahab(a Gentile).
James 2: 25
2:25. Likewise, was not Rahabthe harlot also justified by works when she received the messengersand sent them out another way?
Rahab hides the messengers from the Israelites although the Israelites have no dealings with the Gentiles. If she had got caught, she would have died. It means that Rahab obeysGod although she has to die.
It is the same as loving others as we love ourselves; even we can love our enemy or having the second tablet of the two tablets of stone.
So, one who has faith with works
has the two tablets of stoneor perfect love.
The usefulnesses of the two tablets of stone are as follows:
- Destroying the golden calf.
Exodus 32: 19-20
32:19. So it was, as soon as he came near the camp, that he saw the calf and the dancing. So Moses' anger became hot, and he cast the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain.
32:20. Then he took the calf which they had made, burned it in the fire, and ground it to powder; and he scattered it on the water and made the children of Israel drink it.
It means as follows:
- Destroying sin up to the peak namely sin of eating-drinking (smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse), and marrying-giving in marriage.
The curse of sin is also destroyed.
If sin and the curse are destroyed, we can live in righteousness and holiness.
We are blessed. We experience peace, sweetness, and happiness of heaven.
- Destroying the idolatry or false ministry (the one that is signified with the sound of singing).
Exodus 32: 18
32:18. But he said: "It is not the noise of the shout of victory, Nor the noise of the cry of defeat, But the sound of singingI hear."
The sound of singing= not being victorious nor defeated; being neither dead nor raised.
It means as follows:
- Not being faithful in the ministry to God.
- The ministry that is signified with the lust or not appropriate to the word. There is no obedience and holiness.
Consequently, one will be cast out.
Matthew 7: 22-23
7:22. "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
7:23. "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
Ministering in unfaithfulness, disobedience, and uncleanness is the same as practicing lawlessness.
Matthew 7: 21
7:21. "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Fatherin heaven.
The right attitude is prioritzing the word. We become obedient and holy,so the gate of Paradise even the one of heaven are opened for us. It means that all doors in the world are opened for us.
- Making our face shine or having the shekinah glory.
It means that we experience the renewal of life from fleshly men to spiritual ones like Jesus, starting from the senses.
Exodus 34: 29
34:29. Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses' hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shonewhile he talked with Him.
We only took two senses, namely mouth and ear.
The mouth is changed from lie to honesty.
The ear is changed from disobedience to obedience.
Be honest and obedient!
The matter of shining or becoming dark depends on the mouth and ear.
If we hear the true teaching word, our mouth will become honest.
We shine to fight against dark cloud in the world, so there is the rainbow.
There are many temptations that we have to face in this world. Face it by honesty, faith, and obedience!
For example, Mary and Martha faced Lazarus who had been dead four days. It means decay, destruction of future, economy, and school, worry, suffering, and imposibility.
This family loved God, and was loved by Him. When He heard that Lazarus was sick, He let him dead four days.
May be we have prayed and done the good things but we have not been helped yet. It means that the golden calf must be destroyed to become the two tablets of stone. God wants to engrave us.
This is what God means by letting us face the valley and dark cloud, so we can be changed.
John 11: 39-40
11:39. Jesus said, "Take away the stone." Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, "Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days."
11:40. Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you would believeyou would see the glory of God?"
The hard stone must be changed into tender heart, namely honesty, faith, and obedience.
It is the same as stretching out our hands to God and He will stretch out His hand of great mercy to raise Lazarus.
It means as follows:
- Decay is changed into fragrance.
- The thing that has been destroyed can be successful and beautiful.
- Suffering and tears can be changed into heavenly bliss.
- The impossible thing becomes possible.
God never leaves us. He has not helped us yet because the golden calf still exists in our life. We are still hard-hearted so we cannot become honest and believe God. Let us be changed by God and He will finish all things.
it continues until Jesus comes a second time that we are changed to become as perfect as He is. We shine like the sun to greet Jesus when He comes a second time. We cry out: "Alleluia!" The doors of the marriage supper of the Lamb, Paradise, and heaven are opened for us.
God blesses you.
