Mark 16 is about
SHEKINAH GLORYor
the light of glory.
Jesus has risen in the glorious body, the body that can be raised to Heaven.
Mark 15 is about 7 sprinklings of blood above the ark of covenant = 7 miseries of Jesus upon the cross.
The misery and death experience with Jesus is not the final step in our following to Jesus, but it is our
FIRST STEPbecause after we had the death experience, there will be a resurrection experience, and at the end there will be a glorious experience with Jesus.
If we believe and follow Jesus just for getting the physical things, like wealth, intelligence, cure, mate, etc, our faith will not be tested. And if temptations or problems come, that kind of life will be disappointed and leave God.
But if our following to Jesus begins with the death experience and always being faithful, our FAITH will increase with HOPE until increase with eternal LOVE.
1 Corinthians 13:12-1313:12For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these [is] love.
Faith, hope, and love bring us to the glory of the Jesus' second coming = seeing Jesus face to face in the glorious cloud and we live with God eternally.
One of the death and resurrection experience practice is
the water baptism.Romans 6:2-46:2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
6:3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
The requirement of the true water baptism is
being death to sin [Romans 6:2] or repentance.
Ephesians 4:25-29, 314:25 Therefore, putting away lying, "[Let] each one [of you] speak truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one another.
4:26 "Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath,
4:27 nor give place to the devil.
4:28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with [his] hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.
4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
4:31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
The practice of the true water baptism is being buried into water with Jesus [Romans 6:4].
The result of the true water baptism is
having the death and resurrection experience with Jesus, to get the new life namely the Heavenly life.
We were born physically in this world as a human with blood and flesh. Because of that, we must be born again as the Heavenly life.
The meanings of new life are as follows:
- Living in Righteousness.
Romans 6:18, 12-14
6:18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.
6:12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
6:13 And do not present your members [as] instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness to God.
6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
Living in righteousness means we do not want to sin even if there's opportunity, or profit, nor threat.
If we can live in righteousness, we will be employed to be the instruments of righteousness, or the slaves of righteousness, the true God's servant who brings the sinful people to be justified and be saved by God.
If we become the instruments of righteousness, we live in the merciful hand of God. So there's a gurantee to be free of the God's punishment upon this world, until being free of the hell punishment.
- Having the new conscience = having a good conscience, i.e. being obedient to the true teaching Word.
1 Peter 3:20-21
3:20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while [the] ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
3:21. There is also an antitype which now saves us baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
Romans 6:17
6:17 But God be thanked that [though] you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.
Being disobedient will make us drown.
But if we are obedient to God, the results are as follows:
- Having the power of creation.
Genesis 22:12-14
22:12 And He said, "Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only [son], from Me."
22:13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind [him was] a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.
22:14 And Abraham called the name of the place, The LORD Will Provide; as it is said [to] this day, "In the Mount of The LORD it shall be provided."
Abraham is obedient to God = to sacrifice the feelings of flesh.
If we want to be obedient up to sacrifice the flesh, the results are: God is capable to provide all things we need in His time. Not only the physical needs, but He also will provide/ prepare us until we become His spotless bride.
Revelation 19:7
19:7 "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."
- Having the power of preservation, protection, and aid from God.
1 Kings 17:11-13, 15,17,22,24
17:11 And as she was going to get [it], he called to her and said, "Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand."
17:12 So she said, "As the LORD your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I [am] gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die."
17:13 And Elijah said to her, "Do not fear; go [and] do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring [it] to me; and afterward make [some] for yourself and your son.
17:15 So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for [many] days.
17:17. Now it happened after these things [that] the son of the woman who owned the house became sick. And his sickness was so serious that there was no breath left in him.
17:22 Then the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back to him, and he revived.
17:24 Then the woman said to Elijah, "Now by this I know that you [are] a man of God, [and] that the word of the LORD in your mouth [is] the truth."
This woman is obedient and willing to sacrifice the flesh need; the result is the preservation, protection and aid from God.
- Having the power of lifting from God.
1 Peter 5:5-6
5:5. Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to [your] elders. Yes, all of [you] be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."
5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
These young people are obedient and willing to sacrifice their flesh lust. The result is : we will be lifted by God, from being slumped to become beautiful until the most beautiful time is at Jesus' second coming.
God blesses us.
