Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Overall, Luke 6 refers to righteousness, the Court of Tabernacle.
In the beginning, God creates perfect man as glorious as Him, according to His image. God puts him in Eden.
But human falls into sin, so he loses God's glory, holiness, and righteousness.
Consequently, they are cast out to the world, to live in curse and suffering.
In the world, human does not repent but sins more up to the peak of sin, namely sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage.
It if continues, they will perish forever in the hell.
God is not willing if human suffers and enters the hell.
That is why, God wants to bring up the sinners, so they return to His images, namely righteousness, holiness and glory.
They return to Paradise, A Thousand years Kingdom of Peace and enter New Jerusalem, eternal Kingdom of Heaven forever.
There are seven kinds of God’s upbringing as follows:
- Luke 6:1-5is about the body is brought up by God to enter in spiritual activity.
- Luke 6:12-16 is about the soul is brought up by God that we have spiritual positionin the Kingdom of Heaven.
- Luke 6:17-19 is about the spirit is brought up by God that our spiritual is not sickbut healthy until perfect.
- Luke 6:6-11is about the deed is brought up by God.
- Luke 6:20-26 is about the mind is brought up by God.
- Luke 6:27-45is about the heart is brought up by God.
- Luke 6:46-49is about life journey is brought up by God.
Ad. 6 [Luke 6:27-45]. the heart is brought up by GodGod brings up our heart that we
imitateHis gentle heart.
The practices are as follows:
- Luke 6:27-36] loving others up to enemy. It is the practice of the loving heart of God the Father.
- Luke 6:37-42] do not judge others. It is the practice of the merciful heart of Son of God. Jesus comes a first time to the world to save human and not to judge them.
We learn the second practice, namely
do not judge others.
The conditions of one who judges other are as follows:
- like one who is blind from birth,
- feeling above others, even God.
- being a hypocrite.
ad. 3. being a hypocrite.
Luke 6:41-426:41. "And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the plank in your own eye?
6:42. "Or how can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck that is in your brother’s eye.The speck is a small wood and the plank is the big one.
The similarity between the speck and plank is both of them come from the tree that has been cut or dead wood. It refers to
old life or old men.
One who judges others is a hypocrite. It means old men or flesh and blood men.
The practices are as follows:
- Hiding big sins by judging or discussing others' small sin.
- Hiding sin up to the peak of sin behind the robe of service.
One who judges others the most is the servant of God like Hophni and Phinehas.
1 Samuel 2: 15-17, 22-25
2:15. Also, before they burned the fat, the priest’s servant would come and say to the man who sacrificed, "Give meat for roasting to the priest, for he will not take boiled meat from you, but raw."
2:16. And if the man said to him, "They should really burn the fat first; then you may take as much as your heart desires," he would then answer him, "No, but you must give it now; and if not, I will take it by force."
2:17. Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD, for men abhorred the offering of the LORD.
2:22. Now Eli was very old; and he heard everything his sons did to all Israel, and how they lay with the womenwho assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.
2:23. So he said to them, "Why do you do such things? For I hear of your evil dealings from all the people.
2:24. "No, my sons! For it is not a good report that I hear. You make the LORD’S people transgress.
2:25. "If one man sins against another, God will judge him. But if a man sins against the LORD, who will intercede for him?" Nevertheless they did not heed the voice of their father, because the LORD desired to kill them.
Do not look true and holy in the ministry but actually we hide sin up to the peak of sin.
Hophni and Phinehas abhor the offering of the LORD.
For us, there are lots of servants of God who abhor the offering of the Lord.
The practices are as follows:
- Robbing the right of God.
Actually, when a servant of God receives a blessing, there is God's right inside it.
Robbing God's right means that we do not return the tithes and special offering. We become a thief like Judas.
- Quarrelling.
There are many servants of God who are quarrelsome in deed and more in word, namely speaking ill of one another.
- Falling into sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage.
- We do not want to be advised.
Although we rob God's right, quarrel and fall into the peak of sin, if we still want to be advised, we have a chance to become good.
If we do not want to be advised, the consequence is we do not experience life renewal but keep old men or flesh and blood men with the attitude of flesh and blood up to the peak of sin, so we are destroyed and perish forever.
God wants to bring up our heart that we experience the renewal from carnal men to new ones like Jesus.
The process is as follows.
- Laying aside five main sins.
1 Peter 2:1-3
2:1. Therefore, laying aside all malice(1), all deceit(2), hypocrisy(3), envy(4), and all evil speaking(5),
2:2. as newborn babes, desire the pure milkof the word, that you may grow thereby,
2:3. if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
The five main sins are as follows:
- Malice. The root of wickedness is stinginess and greediness.
Being stingy means one cannot give.
Being greedy means one robs God's right.
Wickedness and uncleanness are in oneness.
If we fall into wickedness, we will fall into uncleanness too.
- Deceit, including lie.
- Hypocrisy.
- Envy which means jealousy, hatred and spite.
- Evil speaking. It means true things are said as the false and false things are said as the true ones.
We have to repent or die to sin.
- Becoming as newborn babes through right water baptism.
Romans 6:2, 4
6:2. Certainly not! How shall we who died to sinlive any longer in it?
6:4. Therefore we were buried with Him through baptisminto death, that just as Christ was raised from the deadby the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
The process of true water baptismis one who has died to sin or repented must be buried in the water with Jesus and come out or rise from water with Him to receive new life, namely heavenly life like newborn babes.
Becoming as newborn babes means we have honest heart and there is no hypocrisy.
- Being shepherded.
If our heart is sincere, our mouth desires the pure milk only [1 Peter 2:2].
The pure milk means true teaching word in the anointing of the Holy Spirit, so it is in order and regularity.
Sincere and honest heart makes us shepherded regular and well.
The thing which is able to make us shepherded is not the shepherd.
Judas cannot be shepherded because he does not have sincere heart even he is shepherded by Jesus who is a perfect Man.
If we can enjoy true teaching Word, we can be calm, full and satisfied, so we do not search satisfaction in the world and fall into sin.
If our spiritual life grows, our physical life surely grows to the good direction.
Matthew 21:16
21:16. and said to Him, "Do You hear what these are saying?" And Jesus said to them, "Yes. Have you never read, 'Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise’?"
If we receive one milk (one true Word), there will be one thing that comes out of our mouth, namely praise and worship with broken heart.
When we praise and worship God with broken heart and hope His mercy only, we are in the hand of the Chief Shepherd.
The results are as follows:
- we are hugged and gathered to become one.
Isaiah 40:11
40:11. He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, And carry themin His bosom, And gently leadthose who are with young.
We are gathered to become one means we become in oneness with parents, shepherd and God.
When we are gathered, we receive three curtains from physical parents, shepherd and God, so we cannot be fallen into sin up to the peak of sin. We are united up to entering perfect oneness of the body.
- We are carried by God.
It means God is responsible for our life.
God's merciful hand bears our labor and heavy burden, so everything becomes easy and light.
All our problems are finished by God in His time.
- We are led by God.
Revelation 7:17
7:17. "for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
God wipes away all impossibilities and we are led to successful and beautiful future. We are purified and changed. It starts from obedience until we enter New Jerusalem.
God blesses us.
