Mark 15:20b-47 contains 7 things about the misery of Jesus upon the cross as follows:
- Mark 15:22-23 (the crucifixion misery about His place/position in the world).
- Mark 15:24 (the crucifixion misery about His garments).
- Mark 15: 25-32 (the crucifixion misery about His position as a King).
- Mark 15:33-34 (the crucifixion misery about His loneliness on the cross).
- Mark 15:35-36 (the crucifixion misery about His will).
- Mark 15:37-41 (the crucifixion misery about His death).
- Mark 15: 42-42 (the crucifixion misery about His funeral).
Ad. 7. The Crucifixion misery about His FuneralMark 15:4715:47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary [the mother] of Joses observed where He was laid.
Mary Magdalene and Mary (the mother) of Joses observed where He was laid refers to
a life that honors the sacrifice of Christ. Many Christian people do not honor(despise) the sacrifice of Christ in public.
Hebrews 6:4-66:4 For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit,
6:5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,
6:6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put [Him] to an open shame.
People like that are people who are already saved, minister God, understand The True Teaching Word but they turn back into old life.
The practice is turning back into old sins. The effect is they cannot repent anymore and they are perished.
We must always honor the sacrifice of Christ. The practices of honoring the sacrifice of Christ are:
- Living in righteousness.
Romans 3:23
3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
The sacrifice of Christ is the only thing that can justify sinful people.
The process is as follows:
- Confessing sin to God and neighbor. If we are forgiven, we must not sin again.
- Forgiving the sin of other people and forgetting it.
The result is living in the Powerful Hand of God.
The Powerful Hand of God is able to bless our daily life up to our future. We can be a blessing to the others.
Psalm 37:25-26
37:25 I have been young, and [now] am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.
37:26 [He is] ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants [are] blessed.
- Living in holiness.
Hebrews 10:10
10:10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once [for all].
The process to live in holiness is living in Holy Place. Holy Place is the shepherding pen. Living in Holy Place means perseverance in three main services i.e. Perseverance in General Service, Perseverance in Bible Study Service and Holy Communion, and Perseverance in Worship Service.
We become clean because of The True Teaching Word, The Word of Jesus Himself, i.e. The Word which is revealed, a verse explaining another verse.
John 15:3
15:3 "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you."
7 things that must be sanctified in our life are:
Proverbs 6:16-19
6:16 These six [things] the LORD hates, Yes, seven [are] an abomination to Him:
6:17 (1)A proud look, (2)A lying tongue, (3)Hands that shed innocent blood,
6:18 (4)A heart that devises wicked plans, (5)Feet that are swift in running to evil,
6:19 (6)A false witness [who] speaks lies, (7)And one who sows discord among brethren.
If a branch attaches to the true vines, it will bear fruit. There is Powerful Hand of The Great Shepherd which is able to provide sweet fruits, the Heaven happiness. If the holiness is raised, the happiness will be raised too, until someday we get our peak happiness in themarriage supper of the Lamb.
The sacrifice of Christ is able to perfect our life.
Hebrews 10:14
10:14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
- Living in perfection.
The practice of living in perfection is being obedient to God.
Matthew 19:16-22
19:16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, "Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?"
19:17 So He said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one [is] good but One, [that is], God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments."
19:18 He said to Him, "Which ones?" Jesus said, "`You shall not murder,' `You shall not commit adultery,' `You shall not steal,' `You shall not bear false witness,'
19:19 `Honor your father and [your] mother,' and, `You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"
19:20 The young man said to Him, "All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?"
19:21 Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."
19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
This young man was bound to flesh desire, evil desire, wickedness and uncleanness desire so he became disobedient to The True Teaching Word. This man became sad (this wickedness and uncleanness desiremake our life become sad) and he left God (being perished eternally).
The blood of Jesus is capable to release us from flesh desire bonds, so we can be obedient to God whatever the risks we face.
I Peter 5:5-6
5:5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to [your] elders. Yes, all of [you] be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."
5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
God is capable to exalt us from all failures until we are successful. We must be obedient until the flesh does not sound anymore, so we can live in the powerful hand of God.
God exalts us from failure to success in His time.
God exalts us from fall in sin, until He exalts us on glorious clouds.
God makes everything beautiful in His time, until we are lifted up on glorious clouds in His second coming, we are changed to become as perfect as Jesus is.
God blesses us.
