Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 9:1-6refers to deputation.
We have learned Luke 9:1-2.
In Luke 9:1, Jesus called His disciples to give authority.
In Luke 9:2, Jesus sent His disciples to preach about salvation to the sinners.
The first term of deputation is “take nothing”.
Luke 9:3
9:3. And He said to them, "Take nothingfor the journey, neither staffs nor bag nor bread nor money; and do not have two tunics apiece.
It means do not worry. We serve God by faith, not anxiety.
There are three kinds of anxiety as follows:
- Anxiety about everyday life(what shall we eat, drink and wear).
Matthew 6:31
6:31. "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?’ or 'What shall we drink?’ or 'What shall we wear?’
- Anxiety about tomorrow.
Matthew 6:34
6:34. "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
- Anxiety in shocks.
Luke 21:25
21:25. "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;
Anxiety results physical death and it is the main killer in the last days.
It also results the second death or everlasting perdition.
Luke 10:40-41
10:40. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me."
10:41. And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worriedand troubled about many things.
Anxiety does not only attack people in the world, but also the servants of God or people who are sent by God.
Martha was distracted with much serving, but she was worried, so her ministry was rejected by God.
The practices of the servant of God who worries are as follows:
- Being busy to look for worldly things even by not lawful ways.
Anxious man is busy to look for physical thing, so he is not faithful but leaves ministry to God.
- Having curse atmosphere or thorns.
"Martha, Martha, you are worriedand troubled about many things"
It means living in stress, difficulty, bitterness, tear, and his mind is like being stabbed by thorn.
The state of anxious servant of Godis like a woman who was bent over for eighteen years in the temple of God.
Luke 13:1113:11. And behold, there was a womanwho had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent overand could in no way raise herself up.
This woman was in the temple of God. It means she ministered God, but she was bent over, namely having spot or being not perfect.
Proverbs 12:2512:25. Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.Being bent over for eighteen years means being marked by antichrist with 666 and he will be destroyed forever.
The symptom of being marked by antichristcan be seen from
mouthspeaking lie, blaming others, degrading and slandering righteous man, full of great things and blasphemies (blaming true teaching word and supporting the false one).
Revelation 13:5-6
13:5. And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty–two months.
13:6. Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.
The right attitudeis we totally surrender to God and live without worry.
The process to surrender our whole life to God and live without worry is as follows:
- Casting all our anxiety to God.
1 Peter 5:7
5:7. casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
It means as follows:
- Being faithful and fervent in spirit in the ministry to God. We prioritize the ministry more than anything.
- Being shepherded well (1 Peter 5 is about shepherding).
It means we are always in the sheepfold. In the arrangement of Tabernacle, it refers to Holy Place which has three kinds of tool referring to perseverance in three kinds of main service as follows:
- Golden candlestick: perseverance in committing general service.
- Table of showbread: perseverance in committing bible study service and Holy Communion.
- Golden altar of incense: perseverance in committing prayer service.
If we are not shepherded but walk about, we will be torn by lion. It means falling into sins up to the peak of sin, namely sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage.
1 Peter 5:8
5:8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks aboutlike a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
- Surrendering our whole life.
Psalms 37:5-7
37:5. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.
37:6. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.
37:7. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
The practice is being silent and calm.
Isaiah 30:14-15
30:14. And He shall break it like the breaking of the potter’s vessel, Which is broken in pieces; He shall not spare. So there shall not be found among its fragments A shard to take fire from the hearth, Or to take water from the cistern."
30:15. For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: "In returning and restyou shall be saved; In quietnessand confidence shall be your strength." But you would not,
If we do not want to be silent and calm, we will be ruined up to useless and perish forever.
Being silentmeans we correct ourselves by the sword of word. If we find our sins, we have to confess it to God and others. We repent, so we are saved.
To repent is the same as stopping ruin, so our life (vessel) can be fixed. If we do not repent, the vessel will be kept on being slammed, so it is getting broken.
Being calmmeans we control ourselves, so we can pray and we do not do things that harm ourselves or others. We live in the miraculous and merciful hand of God.
The results are as follows:
- The sea is calm.
When a great tempest arose on disciples' boat, they called Jesus and He said "Peace, be still!" and there was a great calm.
It means all problems are finished up to the impossible ones.
We experience peace, our heart becomes calm and everything becomes easy and light.
- God changes us into the light of the world.
Psalms 37:5-6
37:5. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.
37:6. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.
It means God purifies us until we appear as the light of the world or perfect bride.
Revelation 12:1
12:1. Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.
God blesses us.
