Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Overall, Luke 6 refers to
righteousness.
The sinner has lost God's images, namely glory, holiness and righteousness.
Consequently, they are naked, cast out from Paradise and live in curse in the world up to perish forever.
God wants to
bring upthe naked human, so he can return to His images, namely righteousness, holiness and glory.
They return to Paradise, A Thousand years Kingdom of Peace and enter New Jerusalem, eternal Kingdom of Heaven forever.
In Luke 6,
there are seven kinds of God’s upbringing as follows:
- Luke 6:1-5is about the body is brought up by God to enter in spiritual activity.
- Luke 6:12-16 is about the soul is brought up by God that we have spiritual positionin the Kingdom of Heaven.
- Luke 6:17-19 is about the spirit is brought up by God that our spiritual is not sickbut healthy until perfect.
- Luke 6:6-11is about the deed is brought up by God.
- Luke 6:20-26 is about the mind is brought up by God.
- Luke 6:27-45is about the heart is brought up by God.
- Luke 6:46-49is about life journey is brought up by God.
ad. 7. life journey is brought up by GodLuke 6:46-49
6:46. "But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,’ and do not do the things which I say?
6:47. "Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like:
6:48. "He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.
6:49. "But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great."
God brings up and leads our life journey that we enter the building of spiritual house or the body of Christ. It is the same as perfect bride of God who is ready to greet when Jesus comes a second time on the glorious clouds. We enter the marriage supper of the Lamb, or spiritual marriage between the Head (Christ) and the body (the bride) that cannot be separated.
We come into the world through physical marriage and we will come out from the world to the heaven through spiritual marriage.
Therefore, we have to pay attention to the spiritual marriage beside the physical one.
In the building of the house, God shows two foundations namely
the rock and the sand.
We learn the first foundation namely
the rock.
The foundation of the building of the body of Christ is spiritual Rock and that Rock is Jesus.
1 Corinthians 10:410:4. and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rockthat followed them, and that Rock was Christ.
We have to build the body of Christ on the Rock, namely Jesus, so we do not fall but endure.
The meanings of Jesus as the Rock or strength are as follows:
- Jesus as the Redeemer or Savior.
Psalms 19:15
19:15. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
Psalms 62:3
62:3. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.
Jesus as the Redeemer of sin or the Savior saves the sinner.
If the sinner is not saved, his spirituality cannot be built.
The process to be saved is as follows:
Acts 2:36-38
2:36. "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredlythat God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."
2:37. Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"
2:38. Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
- [Acts 2:36] We know assuredly. It means that we believethat only Jesus is the Savior.
In the arrangement of Tabernacle, it refers to the gate.
- [Acts 2:38a] To repent. It means that we stop doing sin and return to God.
In the arrangement of Tabernacle, it refers to The Altar of Burnt Offerings.
For us now, it is the cross of Christ which means repenting.
If the heart believes, the mouth will confess.
It means that if we believe Jesus, our mouth will confess our sin to God (vertical) and others (horizontal), so there is a cross and we are dead to sin.
- [Acts 2:38b] Water and Holy Spirit baptism.
In the Tabernacle, water baptism refers to The Brazen Laver.
The right water baptism is one who has died to sin or repented must be buried in the water with Jesus and come out or rise from water with Him to receive new life.
Romans 6:4
6:4. Therefore we were buriedwith Himthrough baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the deadby the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
In the Tabernacle, Holy Spirit baptism refers to the Door of Tabernacle.
Matthew 3:16-17
3:16. When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
3:17. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
Actually, Jesus does not need to be baptized, because He is innocent. But, He is baptized to give an example for us that we can experience new life, namely we live in the ointment of Holy Spirit or live in righteousness.
Living in righteousness means we are saved.
After we live in righteousness, we have to hold fast true teaching. We are not deceived but become the instrument of righteousness, namely serving and ministering to God faithfully and truly.
Psalm 5:12
5:12. For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.
The righteous is surrounded by God. We are protected and surrounded with blessing and mercy so we will not experience curse atmosphere again.
Proverbs 12:3
12:3. A man is not established by wickedness, But the root of the righteous cannot be moved.
If we live in righteousness, our foundation will not move or fall.
- Jesus as the Shepherd.
Genesis 49:22-24
49:22. "Joseph is a fruitful bough, A fruitful bough by a well; His branches run over the wall.
49:23. The archers have bitterly grieved him, Shot at him and hated him.
49:24. But his bow remained in strength, And the arms of his hands were made strong By the hands of the Mighty God of Jacob (From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),
Proverbs 12:26
12:26. The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray.
The righteous must be shepherded trulyand well.
Psalm1:1-3
1:1. Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
1:2. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
1:3. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
One who is shepherded truly and well is like a tree planted by the rivers of water. It means his life is never dry against anything.
In the Tabernacle, being shepherded means that we enter the Holy Place. There are three tools in the Holy Place. Now, it refers to perseverance in three kinds of main service as follows:
- The Golden Candlestick: perseverance in committing General Service. We join in a fellowship with God the Holy Spirit and His gifts. It is like flowing water from the Heaven.
- The Table of Showbread: perseverance in committing Bible Study and Holy Communion. We join in a fellowship with the Son of God in the teaching Word which is like flowing water from the Heaven.
- The Golden Altar of Incense: perseverance in committing Prayer Service. We join in a fellowship with God the Father in His love that warms us and it is like flowing water from the Heaven.
In the shepherding, our body, soul and spirit join in a fellowship with God the Trinity that we experience purification until we are perfect.
The result is in Psalm 1:3
1:3. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.- The leaf shall not wither.
It means that we keep faithful and fervent in spirit in shepherding.
- That brings forth its fruit in its season.
Hebrews 13:15-17
13:15. Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
13:16. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
13:17. Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.
It means as follows:
- There is the fruit of lips that glorify God through good, true word, and testimony that glorify God.
- There is good deed. It means the deed that does not harm others, but likes to share without purpose to get physical advantage.
- Being obedient like Jesus.
Jesus obeys God until He dies on the cross, we obey Him until our flesh does not sound anymore. We obey physical parents (the Court), spiritual parent (the Holy Place) and heavenly parent, namely Jesus or the Word of God (the Most Holy Place).
- Whatever he does shall prosper.
Genesis 37:12-13
37:12. Then his brothers went to feed their father's flock in Shechem.
37:13. And Israel said to Joseph, "Are not your brothers feeding the flock in Shechem? Come, I will send you to them." So he said to him, "Here I am."
Joseph obeyed his parent. Being obedient is not the source of failure and ruin, but success.
We must obey God whatever risk may come.
Genesis 39:21-23
39:21. But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
39:22. And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners who were in the prison; whatever they did there, it was his doing.
39:23. The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph's authority, because the LORD was with him; and whatever he did, the LORD made it prosper.
Joseph had success and beauty in the time of God, although he was in the dungeon physically, which means he was in the limitation.
Genesis 49:22
49:22. "Joseph is a fruitful bough, A fruitful bough by a well; His branches run over the wall.
God blesses us until we run over the wall, enter New Jerusalem, the eternal Kingdom of Heaven.
God blesses us.
