Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 9:54-56
9:54. And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?"
9:55. But He turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of.
9:56. "For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them." And they went to another village.
James and John will that the fire comes down to consume the Samaritans who rejected Jesus as the atonement offering.
It refers to the false prayer, so it is rejected by God and He wants to renew it.
There are three times of renewing about the prayer as follows:
- The prayer of James and John to consume the Samaritans.
This is the false prayer and it is rejected by Jesus.
At last, James writes it in his letter.
James 4:3
4:3. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
The false prayer is the one that is driven by the lust of the flesh, so it causes the hatred that is the same as murder.
Consequently, one will perish, so he does not receive eternal life.
1 John 3:15
3:15. Whoever hateshis brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal lifeabiding in him.
The right prayer is driven by the love of God, so we can pray for others who make hostility toward and persecute us
Matthew 5:43-44
5:43. "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'
5:44. "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
The result is we can love one another. It means we can love others as we love ourselves; even we can love our enemy. We have the second tablet of the two tablets of stone.
- The prayer of James and John to sit on the right and left of Jesus
Mark 10:35-38
10:35. Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Him, saying, "Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask."
10:36. And He said to them, "What do you want Me to do for you?"
10:37. They said to Him, "Grant us that we may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on Your left, in Your glory."
10:38. But Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?"
This is the false prayer, so it is rejected by Jesus, because it is driven by the lust of the flesh although it looks like a spiritual thing.
James 4:3
4:3. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
The false prayer is driven by the lust of the flesh, so if he receives it, he will put Jesus or the true teaching Word besides or behind him, and he will leave Him and perish forever.
Without Jesus, all things in the world, even the heaven will become in vain and perish.
If we ask something to God and it is driven by the lust of the flesh, Satan can answer it to make us far away from God, so we prioritize or are proud of physical thing, not Jesus or the true teaching word.
Consequently, his spirituality slumps. He becomes lukewarm like the Laodiceans.
Revelation 3:15-17
3:15. "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.
3:16. "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
3:17. "Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing' --and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked--
His life is like vomit. He is useless, disgusting, unclean, and separated from God forever to be destroyed.
The right prayer is driven by the love. We prioritize God or love Him more than anything. It means we have the first tablet of the two tablets of stone.
The conclusion is if our prayer is correct and driven by the love of God, we will have the two tablets of stone, namely we love God more than anything and love others as we love ourselves.
Mark 12:29-34
12:29. Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.
12:30. 'And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment.
12:31. "And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
12:32. So the scribe said to Him, "Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He.
12:33. "And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices."
12:34. Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." But after that no one dared question Him.
If we have the two tablets of stone, we will have the wisdom from heaven. The wisdom from God guarantees our success in the world.
The results of having the wisdom are as follows:
- God's wisdom determines our success in the middle of the world's difficulties.
Ecclesiastes 10:10
10:10. If the ax is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge, Then he must use more strength; But wisdom brings success.
- God's wisdom protects and takes care of us when antichrist reigns in the world for three and a half years.
Revelation 13:18
13:18. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.
By the power of the two wings of a great eagle, we may fly into the wilderness far from the eyes of antichrist. We are protected and taken care of directly by God through the true teaching word and Holy Communion.
Bible Study Service with Holy Communion is our exercise for the evacuation from antichrist.
- John's suffering in Patmos Island.
Revelation 1:9
1:9. I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
John the apostle suffered in Patmos Island because of the word of God (the table of showbread) and testimony of Jesus (the golden candlestick), but he did not have the golden altar of incense.
It means having no worship, but only the supplication prayer.
Revelation 12:17
12:17. And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of Godand have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
We must increase our prayer from the supplication one to the worship (giving to God). Otherwise, we will enter the tribulation of antichrist.
There are two possibilities as follows:
- We keep worshipping Jesus, so we are tormented by antichrist up to we are beheaded, but we will be raised when Jesus comes.
- Worshipping antichrist and being sealed with 666, so he will be destroyed with antichrist.
Revelation 1:17
1:17. And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.
That is why, John the prophet was allowed to experience tribulation with Jesus, so he increases. The right prayer is increased to become the worship.
The worship is the process of the tearing of flesh, so we experience the renewal of life from carnal men to spiritual ones like Jesus.
The flesh that is afraid of something is changed to become the fear of God.
The practices are as follows:
- One lives in righteousness and holiness.
Proverbs 8:13
8:13. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.
- Ministering faithfully and fervently.
Joshua 24:14
24:14. " Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD!
- Being obedient to the word of God.
Ecclesiastes 12:13
12:13. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man's all.
One who fears God is like a shining star. He is used by God to glorify Him, and becomes witness to radiate the light.
Revelation 1:16
1:16. He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.
The position of star is being hold by the right hand of God or depending on God.
The results are as follows:
- We experience pleasure from God.
Psalms 16:11
16:11. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
There are God's caring and heavenly bliss. Everything becomes easy and light.
- The hands of God give us victory over enemy.
Psalms 118:15
118:15. The voice of rejoicing and salvation Is in the tents of the righteous; The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.
All problems up to the impossible ones are finished by God although we are powerless.
- The right hand of God lifts us up.
Psalms 118:16
118:16. The right hand of the LORD is exalted; The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.
Lifting up from failure to success and beauty, and the fall in sin will be recovered.
We are used by God for the glory of His name.
We are changed little by little up to perfection when God comes a second time. We are lifted up to the glorious clouds until we sit together with Jesus on the throne of Heaven.
God blesses us.
