Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 9:10-11
9:10. And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privatelyinto a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.
9:11. But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.
Jesus went aside privately to face the cruelty of Herod who beheaded John the Baptist. The cruelty of Herod refers to the one of Satan in the form as follows:
- Sins up to the peak of sin, namely sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage.
- Temptations that make young men become desperate, disappointed and leave God.
- Hatred without a cause up to persecution of antichrist.
To face the cruelty of antichrist, our attitude is going asidelike Jesus did.
The practices of going aside are as follows:
- The praying.
- Ministering.
Luke 9:13a
9:13a. But He said to them, "You give them something to eat."
- Shepherding.
AD 2.
SHEPHERDING.
Luke 9:139:13. But He said to them, "You give them something to eat." And they said, "We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we go and buy food for all these people."The special characteristic of shepherding is
feeding the lambs. In the shepherding, the duty of the lambs is eating and the one of the shepherd is preparing food for his lambs.
How great a young man is in the world, he is like one who has five loaves and two fish and must feed five thousand men. We have no strength or ability. That is why we must be shepherded.
Luke 9:14, 179:14. For there were about five thousand men. Then He said to His disciples, "Make them sit down in groups of fifty."
9:17. So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them. There are five thousand men who ate in one hundred groups, fifty people in a group.
Exodus 27:1827:18. "The length of the court shall be one hundredcubits, the width fiftythroughout, and the height five cubits, made of fine woven linen, and its sockets of bronze. The measure of Tabernacle is the length one hundred cubits and the width fifty cubits, so the area is 100 x 50= 5000 square cubits.
So, the number 5000 refers to
the shepherding in the system of Tabernacle or Heaven. It is the same as the shepherding that is brought up by Tabernacle teaching.
Luke 9:159:15. And they did so, and made them all sit down.Sitting down means we do not walk about, but assure in the shepherding, so we will not fall.
If we are not shepherded or do not sit in the shepherding, we will be the target of the cruelty of antichrist. It is like Dinah (Jacob's daughter) who walked about and was raped.
The proof that we assure in the shepherding is we are always in the sheepfold. In the Tabernacle, it refers to Holy Place with three instruments. It refers to perseverance in three kinds of main service as follows:
- Golden candlestick: perseverance in committing general service; we have fellowship with Holy Spirit God in His gifts.
- Table of showbread: perseverance in committing bible study service and Holy Communion; we have fellowship with Son of God in teaching Word and Christ's sacrifice.
- Golden altar of incense: perseverance in committing prayer service; we have fellowship with God the Father in His love.
Entering three kinds of main service is entering narrow door or the way of the cross, but behind it, there is abundant God's promise in our life.
In the sheepfold, our body, soul, and spirit attach to God the Trinity. It is like a branch that abides in the true vine, so we cannot be touched by Satan. Satan cannot attach his cruelty to us.
The proof that we attach to God the Trinity is we
experience serenity.
If we do not to take the way of the cross, we will become wild and the victim of the cruelty of antichrist.
The number 5000 is 100 multiplied with 50 and it is the measure of Tabernacle.
The measure 100 is 10 multiplied with 10. It refers to hearing the word (10) and obeying it (10).
If we only hear the word (10), but do not obey it (0), it is the same as failure (10 x 0= 0).
Further, if we hear the word (10), but fight against it (-1), we experience decadence (10 x -1= -10). The more we fight against the word, the more we perish up to the bottomless pit.
The measure 50 refers to Pentecost, namely the anointing of Holy Spirit.
Romans 12:11
12:11. not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;In the anointing of Holy Spirit, we can minister God faithfully and fervently.
The conclusionis one who is shepherded well (100 x 50) is one who
obeysthe word (100) and is
faithful(50). If we become obedient and faithful, it is impossible for Satan to touch us.
Deuteronomy 11:10-1511:10. "For the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden;
11:11. "but the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven,
11:12. "a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.
11:13. ' And it shall be that if you earnestly obeyMy commandments which I command you today, to love the LORD your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,
11:14. 'then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.
11:15. 'And I will send grass in your fieldsfor your livestock, that you may eat and be filled.'
If we are shepherded, we have the life system of Canaan.
There are two life systems as follows:
- The land of Egypt. It is the world system or hard work system that depends on cleverness, experience, power, wealth, and everything in the world.
The land of Egypt is also flat ground system. It means legalizing all ways by tricking, et cetera.
Consequently, one labors and does not rely on God.
- The land of Canaan. It is the land of hills and valleys or death and resurrection. It is the same as the cross system.
In the system of hills and valleys, we just rely on the rain of God's mercy that cannot be limited by anything.
The results of living in the system of Canaan are as follows:
- Great caring physically by God up to the abundancealthough we have no power (it is like five loaves and two fish for five thousand men), so we keep on giving thanks.
The hand of God’s kindness and mercy is able to take care of our spiritual lifetoo by the word, Holy Spirit and love of God, so we experience satisfaction and happiness of Heaven.
Deuteronomy 11:14
11:14. 'then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.
If we have satisfaction and happiness of Heaven, we will not look for the one in the world and fall into sins up to the peak of sin.
Deuteronomy 11:15
11:15. 'And I will send grass in your fields for your livestock, that you may eat and be filled.'
In God's blessing, there is the part for ministering God. We must present it to God and He will surely return it.
- We receive the key of David, namely God's mercy and kindness.
Revelation 3:7-8
3:7. "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, 'These things says He who is holy, He who is true, "He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens":
3:8. "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
Keeping the word means obedience. Do not deny the name of God means faithfulness.
If we are obedient and faithful, we will receive the key of God that is able to do the things as follows:
- Opening the doors in the world. It is the same as the door of victory.
David won against Goliath although he was powerless.
God opens the doors of victory and lifting up. God's merciful hand is able to make us successful in His time although we have no power.
After becoming the king, David fell into sin of adultery with Bathsheba, but God lifted him up.
- Opening the door of heaven.
Revelation 3:12
3:12. "He who overcomes, I will make him a pillarin the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
We are changed little by little, starting from being a pillar. We become strong and of good courage.
We always confess that we live from God's mercy and kindness only. We are purified and renewed continuously until we are worthy to greet when God comes a second time and sit with Him on the throne of Heaven.
Revelation 3:21
3:21. "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
God blesses us.
