Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 9:10-13
9:10. And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privatelyinto a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.
9:11. But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.
9:12. When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him, "Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted place here."
9:13. But He said to them, "You give them something to eat." And they said, "We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we go and buy food for all these people."
Jesus went aside privately to face the cruelty of Herod. Herod was the illustration of Satan. So, the cruelty of Herod was the one of Satan in the form as follows:
- Sins up to the peak of sin, namely sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage.
- Temptations and impossible problems, so we become disappointed.
- Hatred without a cause up to persecution of antichrist for three and half years.
To face the cruelty of antichrist, our attitude is going asidelike Jesus did.
The practices of going aside are as follows:
- The praying.
- Ministering.
AD 2.
MINISTERING.
Luke 9:139:13. But He said to them, "You give them something to eat." And they said, "We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we go and buy food for all these people."We have to become the servants of God, namely the priests and kings.
A priest is a holy man, one who has ministry and ministers to God faithfully and correctly.
1 Peter 2:5
2:5. you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. So, we will be used in the building of the perfect body of Christ or becoming the bride of the Heaven.
Revelation 12:12-14
12:12. "Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time."
12:13. Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child.
12:14. But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wildernessto her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.
The bride will be given two wings of a great eagle and the usefulnesses are as follows:
- Evacuating us to the wilderness to make us far from antichrist.
- Lifting us up on the glorious clouds when He comes a second time. We enter the marriage supper of the Lamb of God or the perfect marriage.
Afterward, we enter upcoming Paradise, A Thousand Years Kingdom of Peace until New Jerusalem.
There are three kinds of hindrance in the ministry to God as follows:
- In a deserted place.
Luke 9:12
9:12. When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him, "Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted place here."
The place refers to the influence of the world, namely crisis in all things (the one of economic, health and study), business, joy and distress in the world.
James 4:4
4:4. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
The influence of the world makes us unfaithful, so we are often hindered in the ministry.
Being unfaithful in the ministry is the same as becoming the friend of the world, so we become God's enemy and are destroyed forever.
- The day begins to wear away.
Luke 9:12
9:12. When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him, "Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted place here."
The night refers to the darkness and the peak of sin.
Romans 13:12-13
13:12. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
13:13. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdnessand lust, not in strifeand envy.
The practices of the peak of sin are as follows:
- Sin of eating-drinking, namely smoking, getting drunk and drugs abuse.
- Lewdness, namely sin of marrying-giving in marriage.
- Strife and envy.
John 11:10
11:10. "But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him."
If we minister in the darkness, we surely stumble and fall. It means we are not faithful in the ministry until we leave it like Judas Iscariot.
Consequently, he burst open in the middle. His life was not beautiful, but decayed up to perished forever.
- The influence of flesh.
Luke 9:12
9:12. When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him, "Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted place here."
The attitude of flesh is selfish. It means one does not pay attention to the interest of God and others, but himself.
The carnal mind often shrinks God and feels able and greater than God. It means one does not rely on God, but himself.
The carnal mind also shrinks the power of God and enlarges the problem or makes the work of God impossible.
Luke 9:13
9:13. But He said to them, "You give them something to eat." And they said, "We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we go and buy food for all these people."
Our state in the last age is like a child who owns five loaves and two fish and must feed five thousand men.
It means we have no strength or ability, but we are meaningless for the world. Do not be desperate, nor give up and retreat, but give your whole life in the hands of God. We worship, stretch out our hand and only hope God's mercy.
It is like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–Nego who faced the burning fiery furnace that had been heated seven times or David who faced Saul.
We are not able to do anything, but worship God only.
Psalms 123:1-3
123:1. <<A Song of Ascents.>>Unto You I lift up my eyes, O You who dwell in the heavens.
123:2. Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the LORD our God, Until He has mercy on us.
123:3. Have mercy on us, O LORD, have mercy on us! For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
Worshipping God is the same as looking at Him. We stretch out our hand to God and call His name only until He has mercy on us.
The miraculous God's merciful hand is able to take care of our life miraculously. God is able to finish all of our problems.
He uses our life too in the work of God.
God uses us, so our life becomes successful and beautiful. He does not torment us. One day, when God comes a second time, He will change our life to become perfect, as glorious as Him.
God blesses us.
