Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 9:28-29
9:28. Now it came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, that He took Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray.
9:29. As He prayed, the appearance of His face was altered, and His robe became white and glistening.
[Verse 28] The true worship is driven by the true teaching word and the anointing of Holy Spirit.
[Verse 29] The true worship is the process of the tearing of flesh, so we experience the renewal of life from carnal men to spiritual ones like Jesus.
There are two kinds of the renewal of life in prayeras follows:
- The face. It refers to the heart. The hard heart is changed into the tender one.
- The robe. It refers to our attitude and ministry.
We learn the second one.
There are two kinds of robe that need to be changed and they are as follows:
- The filthy garments or spotted ones.
Zechariah 3:1-4
3:1. Then he showed me Joshua the high prieststanding before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him.
3:2. And the LORD said to Satan, "The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?"
3:3. Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel.
3:4. Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, "Take away the filthy garments from him." And to him He said, "See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes."
The servant of God often clothes with filthy garments.
There are four kinds of filthy garments as follows:
- The spot of Balaam.
Jude 1:11-12
1:11. Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaamfor profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.
1:12. These are spotsin your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots;
2 Peter 2:15
2:15. They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaamthe son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
The spot of Balaam means ministering to look for physical wages or ministering without faith.
Consequently, one loses the eternal life.
- The spot of Korah.
Numbers 16:8-11
16:8. Then Moses said to Korah, "Hear now, you sons of Levi:
16:9. "Is it a small thing to you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to Himself, to do the work of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to serve them;
16:10. "and that He has brought you near to Himself, you and all your brethren, the sons of Levi, with you? And are you seeking the priesthood also?
16:11. "Therefore you and all your company are gathered together against the LORD. And what is Aaron that you complain against him?"
The spot of Korah means ministering with grumble because of demanding the right, namely standing, praise, and eating-drinking, so one always feels disappointed until stumbling and falling.
- The spot of Cain.
The spot of Cain means ministering with envy, wickedness, and uncleanness.
- The spot of wickedness and laziness.
Matthew 25:26, 30
25:26. "But his lord answered and said to him, 'You wickedand lazyservant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.
25:30. 'And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
It means ministering unfaithfully.
Revelation 19:8
19:8. And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
Through the true worship, we experience the renewal of life from filthy garments to clean and bright ones.
The practices are as follows:
- We will become a doulos. It means that we minister to God to do our duty without demanding the right or wages.
We willingly sacrifice everything for God.
- Ministering God with holiness and sincerity (holiness in heart).
- Becoming good and faithful servant.
Matthew 25:21
25:21. "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'
The result is we are trusted over many things, namely the revival of the last rain or the one of the building of the perfect body of Christ.
We experience physical and spiritual increase. We experience the heavenly bliss until the peak of happiness, namely entering the marriage supper of the Lamb of God when Jesus comes a second time.
- The old or patchwork garment.
Mark 2:20-21
2:20. "But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days.
2:21. "No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; or else the new piece pulls away from the old, and the tear is made worse.
Isaiah 64:6
64:6. But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.
The patchwork clothing refers to sin of self-truth. It is the sin that we often do not realize.
Job 1:1-3
1:1. There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil.
1:2. And seven sons and three daughters were born to him.
1:3. Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East.
The example is Job.
Job was blessed spiritually (he was holy, blameless, upright, and one who feared God) and physically (he was a rich man). His marriage and children were blessed too. But Job used the self-truth.
Job 32:1-2
32:1. So these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
32:2. Then the wrath of Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was aroused against Job; his wrath was aroused because he justified himself rather than God.
The self-truth means covering sin by blaming others and God (the true teaching word).
In the suffering, we often use the self-truth too.
For example, Adam and Eve fell in sin and got naked, but they still passed the sin to other until blaming Satan
Genesis 3:7, 9-13
3:7. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.
3:9. Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?"
3:10. So he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself."
3:11. And He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?"
3:12. Then the man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate."
3:13. And the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."
God allowed Job to experience total test, so he could fall down worshiping God.
Job could worship with broken heart, namely confessing that he was just mortar. It means he was unworthy, worthless, with a lot of mistakes, and nothing could be proud of, but being trampled only.
Job 42:5-6
42:5. "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You.
42:6. Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes."
Isaiah 64:8
64:8. But now, O LORD, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.
The clay is in the hand of God.
God stretches out His merciful hand, so we experience the power of God's creation.
The results are as follows:
- God's hand creates something that does not exist yet to take care of our life.
God's hand makes impossible thing become possible to finish all of our problems.
- We are formed from broken vessel to the one of glory.
We are used by God in the revival of the building of the body of Christ for His glory.
God makes everything good, successful and beautiful in due time.
- We are changed little by little until we become perfect like Jesus.
Job 42:6
42:6. Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes."
The renewing is started from mouth. The mouth can speak good work and worship God.
And God will make everything good until become perfect when Jesus comes a second time.
God blesses us.
