Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 10:38-39, 4210:38. Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house10:39. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word.10:42. "But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her."Mary sits at Jesus' feet and hears His word. Hearing and obeying the true teaching word is the same as placing Jesus as the Head. It is the good and eternal part.
In the epistle of Paul the apostle to the Ephesians, there are three appearances of Jesus as the Head as follows.
- Jesus as the Headequals to Jesus as the King who puts all enemies under His feet until the last enemy, namely the death.
Ephesians 1:22-23
1:22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,
1:23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
1 Corinthians 15:25-26
15:25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.
15:26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
Jesus as the King lifts us up to become the kings, namely ones who win over the death/sin.
The practices are as follows:
- Living in righteousnessin all aspects of our life, namely our personal life, our study at school, work, company, et cetera.
We do not do sin that causes perdition.
- Holding fast the true teaching wordso we are not deceived by false teachings that cause perdition.
2 Peter 2:1
2:1. But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachersamong you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.
The false prophets secretly bring false teaching until we do not realize it, so we assume that all teachings are equal.
If we place Jesus as the Head, live in righteousness, and hold fast the true teaching word, we will have the fence of truth (the one of linen in Tabernacle).
Psalm 5:12
5:12. For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.
The resultis we are surrounded with God's mercy and blessing, so the curse and death cannot touch us.
We live in the Paradise atmosphere.
- Jesus as the High Priestor the Head of the priests.
Ephesians 4:15-16
4:15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ--
4:16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
Jesus as the Head equals to Jesus as the High Priest who lifts us up to become the priests.
A priest is the true man, one who has ministry and ministers to God faithfully and truly according to the ministry that He gives to him until the finish line (up to death or until Jesus comes a second time).
Why does Jesus as the Head have to die on the cross to lift us up to become the priests and kings?
- We can be used in the ministry of the building of the perfect body of Christ.
1 Peter 2:5
2:5. you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
It continues until we become the bride of God.
If we are not used in the ministry of the building of the perfect body of Christ, we will be used in the one of Babylon that is perfect in wickedness and uncleanness so we become the bride of Satan who will be destroyed.
- We can become the living stones.
How great a Gentile is, he is just a hard stone. It means that he lives in sin and will be destroyed.
God lifts us up to become living stones. It means that we live in the mercy of God.
One who ministers to God is living from His mercy, so he can live anywhere, anytime, and in any circumstance up to eternal life.
Our life is laid out neatly by God. He makes our life beautiful up to the most beauty. We become the precious stones in the New Jerusalem.
- Jesus as the Heavenly Bridegroom.
Ephesians 5:22-24
5:22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
5:23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
5:24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
Jesus as the Head equals to Jesus as the Heavenly Bridegroom who lifts us up to become His brideor perfect body of Christ.
The closest relationship between the Head and body is in the neck. It refers to the worship prayer which is the peak of ministry.
The worship prayer is the process to tear the flesh with all of its lusts, the interest of the flesh (selfishness), fear, and sadness, so we can cry out: "Abba, Father!" It means that we are anointed by Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:15
8:15. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."
Titus 3:5
3:5. not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
The resultis that Holy Spirit renews us from fleshly men to spiritual ones, namely obedience and honesty. It is the spiritual miracle.
Zechariah 4:6-7
4:6. So he answered and said to me: "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the LORD of hosts.
4:7. 'Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of "Grace, grace to it!"'"
The physical miracle happens too. Holy Spirit is able to finish all of our problems up to the impossible ones. We have successful and beautiful future.
Isaiah 35:3-4
35:3. Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm the feeble knees.
35:4. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, "Be strong, do not fear!Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you."
Holy Spirit makes us strong and of good courage. We are not disappointed or desperate, but we minister to God faithfully and fervently. We keep worshipping God. We are able to wait for Jesus' second coming until we greet His coming on the glorious clouds. It is the good and eternal part.
God blesses us.
