Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 11:9-10
11:9. "So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
11:10. "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
The way to pray is asking, seeking and knocking.
- Ask, and it will be given to us.
The term for asking something from God is that the word must abide in our heart.
John 15:7
15:7. "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will askwhat you desire, and it shall be done for you.
That is why, the time of hearing the word is very important for us, because it determines whether we receive the word or not.
The process of receiving the word of God is as follows:
- Hearing the word of God earnestly.
- Understanding the word of God and believing in it, so it becomes faith in heart.
- Practicing the word.
As a result, we live according to God's will. If we pray according to God's will, it shall be done for us.
- Seek, and we will find.
We must seek why our prayer has not been answered yet. We must do introspection about what kind of altar and fire that we use and what kind of offering or incense that we offer.
In the Tabernacle, there are two kinds of altaras follows:
- The Altar of Burnt Offerings.
In the past time, the offering animals were burnt for the remission of sins.
Now, the sinful fleshly deed must be burnt to become the incense that produces fragrance before God.
Galatians 5:19-21
5:19. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
5:20. idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
5:21. envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
- The Golden Altar of Incense.
In the past time, the incense or something which was smaller than animal was burnt.
Now, the sinful fleshly lust or attitude must be burnt to become the incense that produces fragrance before God.
Matthew 5:21-22, 27-28
5:21. "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.'
5:22. "But I say to you that whoever is angrywith his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire.
5:27. "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not commit adultery.'
5:28. "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for herhas already committed adultery with her in his heart.
We must pray with the fire of Holy Spirit.
Exodus 20:24-26
20:24. 'An altar of earthyou shall make for Me, and you shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen. In every place where I record My name I will come to you, and I will bless you.
20:25. 'And if you make Me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of hewn stone; for if you use your tool on it, you have profaned it.
20:26. 'Nor shall you go up by steps to My altar, that your nakedness may not be exposed on it.'
The altar of earthmeans the condition which is full of weaknesses.
Our attitude is confessing that we are unworthy, incapable and powerless. We cannot do anything, but only depend on God's mercy.
The altar of stonemeans the hardness of heart.
The altar of stone shall not be built of hewn stone. It means that we have to come to God sincerely just the way we are.
Do not go up by steps means do not be arrogant!
- Knock, and it will be opened to us.
We come to God with broken heart which is the same as knocking the door of God.
As a result, God's hands of great mercy will open the doors for us.
Luke 11:10
11:10. "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Revelation 3:8-13
3:8. "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
3:9. "Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie--indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
3:10. "Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
3:11. "Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.
3:12. "He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
3:13. "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."'
God will open the doors for us as follows:
- The door in the world, namely the one of difficulty, temptation, and persecution until the time when the antichrist reigns over the world for three and a half years.
God's hands of great mercy are able to protect and take care of us in difficulties in the world until the time when the antichrist reigns over the world.
God's hands of great mercy are able to finish all problems up to the impossible ones. We experience peace and all things become easy and light.
- The door of the New Jerusalem. It means that God's merciful hands are able to renew us from fleshly men to spiritual ones like Him. It starts from becoming strong and of good courage.
Being strong and of good courage means as follows:
- Keeping holding fast the true teaching word and obeying it.
- Not being disappointed and desperate against anything, but keeping ministering to God faithfully and fervently.
- Keeping worshipping God.
Our steps of life are the ones of renewal or miracle.
It continues until Jesus comes a second time that we are changed to become as perfect as He is and enter the New Jerusalem.
God blesses us.
