Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In the arrangement of Tabernacle, Luke 6 refers to the Gate, which means righteousness.
A sinner loses God's image, glory, holiness, and righteousness.
God makes efforts to return sinner to His image, namely righteousness, holiness and glory.

God's effort is called God's upbringing.

There are seven kinds of God’s upbringing as follows:

  1. Luke 6:1-5is about the body is brought up by God to enter in spiritual activity.
  2. Luke 6:12-16 is about the soul is brought up by God that we have spiritual positionin the Kingdom of Heaven.
  3. Luke 6:17-19 is about the spirit is brought up by God.
  4. Luke 6:6-11is about the deed is brought up by God.
  5. Luke 6:20-26 is about the mind is brought up by God.
  6. Luke 6:27-45is about the heart is brought up by God.
  7. Luke 6:46-49is about life journey is brought up by God.

Ad. 4.
The deed is brought up by God
Luke 6:6-11 is about Jesus heals a manon Sabbathor Sabbath in the synagogue.

Lukas 6:6-11
6:6. Now it happened on another Sabbath, also, that He entered the synagogue and taught. And a man was there whose right hand was withered.
6:7. So the
scribesand Phariseeswatched Him closely, whether He would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against Him.
6:8. But He knew their thoughts, and said to the man who had the withered hand, "Arise and stand here." And he arose and stood.
6:9. Then Jesus said to them, "I will ask you one thing: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy?"
6:10. And when He had looked around at them all, He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.
6:11. But they were filled with rage, and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.

The deed is brought up by God through teaching Word that we can follow the examples of God and experience Sabbath.

  • The small Sabbathmeans peace or rest in the Holy Spirit.
  • The big Sabbathmeans a Thousand Years Kingdom of Peace or upcoming Paradise.
  • The eternal Sabbathmeans eternal kingdom of Heaven or New Jerusalem.

In fact, there are two groups in the synagogue that do not experience Sabbath and they are as follows:

  1. The group of son / minister / servant of God whose right hand is withered.
  2. The group of son / minister / servant of God who is like Scribes and Pharisees.

Tonight, we learn the group of son / minister / servant of God whose right hand is withered. It means dry spirituality.
The practice is asfollows:

  1. His ministry is not done fully or earnestly.
    It means as follows:

    • One likes to be late or deliberately comes late, does not give attention to opening prayer/praise/ testimony and especially when hearing the Word up to closing prayer.

    • Being lukewarm in ministry, neither cold nor hot.
      Revelation 3:15-17
      3:15. "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.
      3:16. "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
      3:17. "Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’ ––and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked––


      Not being cold means that one does not have peace, but envy, gossip, hatred, and spite.
      Not being hot means that one is not fervent anymore and his ministry is just a habit.

      Human with this condition does not have contact with Jesus as the High Priest who sits at the right hand of the Father God.

      Lukewarm life just touts physical thing without the Word of God.

    The consequence of ministry that is not earnest is being like vomit that is unclean and useless.

  1. One cannot give. It means stinginess and greediness.
    Matthew 6:3-4
    6:3. "But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
    6:4. "that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.


    Being stingymeans one cannot give to others in need.
    Being greedymeans one robs other's, especially God's, namely tithes and special offerings for the work of God.

    Giving includes giving time, power and mind.

  2. One cannot worship God.
    Psalms 141:2
    141:2. Let my prayer be set before You as incense, The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

    Worshipping God is same as stretching out our hand to Him. If one hand is dead, it means he cannot worship God.
    If we cannot worship God, we surely grumble, deny and blaspheme Him.

Matthew 12:9-11
12:9. Now when He had departed from there, He went into their synagogue.
12:10. And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?" ––that they might accuse Him.
12:11. Then He said to them, "What man is there among you who has one sheep, and
if it falls into a piton the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out?

The consequence of spiritual dryness or death is like sheep thatfalls into a pit, the bottomless pit, or the place of evil and unclean spirit (locusts and scorpions).

Revelation 9:2-3
9:2. And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit.
9:3. Then out of the smoke
locustscame upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpionsof the earth have power.

It means one looks for satisfaction in the world that he falls into sin up to the peak of sin, namely sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage.
Looking for satisfaction in the world is same as stopping inthe death, we just happy for a while but it brings to the death.

The way of God to help/bring up our deed is telling teaching Word. God tells teaching Word twice as follows:

  1. To arise and stand in the middle.
    Luke 6:8
    6:8. But He knew their thoughts, and said to the man who had the withered hand, "Arise and stand here." And he arose and stood.

    Standing in the middle refers to the minister of God/the priests whostand in the middle between God and congregation.
    In the Tabernacle, standing in the middle refers to the Holy Place. The power of teaching Word moves us from the pit of Satan to the Holy Place or sheepfold.

    • The Golden Candlestick: perseverance in committing General Service,
    • The Table of Showbread: perseverance in committing Bible Study Service and Holy Communion,
    • The Golden Altar of Incense: perseverance in committing Prayer Service.

    Psalms 23:1-2
    23:1. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
    23:2. He
    makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.

    The results are as follows:

    • having serenity or rest from Heaven.
    • "I shall not want", which means that we are taken care by Chief Shepherd until we can give thanks to God.
      It also means that we are purified up to perfect.

  2. Stretching out your hand.
    Luke 6:10
    6:10. And when He had looked around at them all, He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.

    It refers to teaching Word that is often out of our mind. Our attitudeis obeying the Word, even it is out of our mind. It is same as totally surrendering to God.
    Obedience added withtotal surrenderingis same as worshipping God.

    Matthew 17:1-2,4
    17:1. Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves;
    17:2. and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.
    17:4. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."


    The results are as follows:

    • Eternal happiness and rest from Heaven.
    • In worshipping, there is the biggest miracle, namely renewal of life.
      Renewal of life is started from desperation and disappointment are changed into strong heart and good courage.

      Exodus 6:8,11
      6:8. So Moses spoke thus to the children of Israel; but they did not heed Moses, because of anguish of spirit and cruel bondage.
      6:11. And Moses spoke before the LORD, saying, "The children of Israel have not heeded me.
      How then shall Pharaoh heed me, for I am of uncircumcised lips?"

      1 Kings 19:1-2,4
      19:1. And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, also how he had executed all the prophets with the sword.
      19:2. Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, "So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time."
      19:4. But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, "It is enough! Now, LORD,
      take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!"

      Moses and Elijah have been desperate, but they are changed and exist on the mount of God.
      Tonight, let all of us be strong and of good courage, keep believing, hoping, and worshipping God. And He is surely able to help us.

      1 Chronicles 19:13
      19:13. "Be of good courage, and let us be strong for our people and for the cities of our God. And may the LORD do what is good in His sight."

      God is able to make everything good and beautiful in His time.

      1 Chronicles 28:20
      28:20. And David said to his son Solomon, "Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God––my God––will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the workfor the service of the house of the LORD.

      God is able to wipe all impossibilities and finish all our problems in His time.
      Moses was sentenced that he might not enter Canaan.
      But, by mount of worship, Moses is able to exist in Canaan.

      Through worship, God also purifies and changes our lifelittle by little until we are as glorious as Him when He comes a second time.

God blesses us.
