Luke 1:13-171:13 But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.
1:14 "And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth.
1:15 "For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb.
1:16 "And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lordtheir God.
1:17 "He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, `to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,' and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."John the Baptist had 7 witnesses like candlestick with 7 shining lamps as follows:
- He got his name from God.
- He brought joy and gladness from Heaven.
- He was great in the sight of Lord.
- He became a Nazirite of God.
- He lived in the anointing of Holy Spirit.
- He made people repent.
- He became a pioneer/precursor.
Ad. 5. He lived in the anointing of Holy Spirit.
John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Spirit from his mother’s womb.
Likewise,
we must also be filled with the Holy Spirit.
The levels of being filled by the Holy Spirit are as follow:
- Being led by the Holy Spirit.
The sign is to begin giving attention to the spiritual things such as reading the Bible, praying, worshiping God, etc.
- Being anointed the Holy Spirit.
The sign is to begin prioritizing the spiritual things.
- Being filled by the Holy Spirit = living in spirituality.
Job 32:832:8 But there is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding. The Holy Spirit gives intelligence/ understanding to human that makes them superior than animals.
Human without the Holy Spirit = without understanding, the human will appear as beasts.
There are 3 kinds of beast as follow:
- Revelation 12:3
12:3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.
A fiery red dragon in the air = Satan with the power of wickedness and impurity that produce sinful deeds up to the peak of sins (eating-drinking sins and marrying and being given in marriage sins).
- Revelation 13:1
13:1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.
A beast rising up out of the sea = the antichrist with the power of mammon/money that makes human become stingy and greedy.
- Revelation 13:11
13:11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.
A beast coming up out of the earth = the false prophet with the power of lying spirit/ false teaching.
The condition of human without the Holy Spirit is led by Satan the trinity. So the picture of Lord the trinity is gone, only the picture of Satan the trinity stays in human that makes them perish forever.
THE PROCESS ofbeing filled bythe Holy Spirit is as follow:
- Acts1:4-5
1:4 And being assembled together with [them], He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which," [He said], "you have heard from Me;
1:5 "for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."
We must live in Jerusalem (the City of Peace), meaning to have a peaceful heart without bitterness, impurity, wickedness, envy, revenge, etc.
Actually human’s heart tends to be wicked and impure.
But through water baptism, we can receive new life and new heart that is filled with peace.
- Acts1:12-14
1:12. Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey.
1:13 And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James [the son] of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas [the son] of James.
1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
Persevering with one accord in prayer.
If we want to be led, be anointed, even be filled with the Holy Spirit; we must maintain the peaceful heart and also a lot of praying and worshiping God, even coupled with fasting prayer and long night prayer.
Worship prayer= the process to tear the fleshwith all its lusts, desires, emotions, and ambitions; to get the ointment of the Holy Spirit = olives that are dried and squeezed to produce oil.
- Acts1:24-26
1:24 And they prayed and said, "You, O Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which of these two You have chosen
1:25 "to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place."
1:26 And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Matthias. And he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
Before the number of the twelve apostles of Jesus is fulfilled, the Holy Spirit has not been poured.
Meaningwe must be persistent, faithful, and be fervent in service and ministry to God.
THE USEFULNESS of Holy Spirit is as follow:
We learn from Aaron’s rod that can bud, flower, and bear fruit.
God made the rod of Aaron bud, flower, and bear fruit to solve the problem among the people of Israel.
- The Holy Spirit makes Aaron’s rod bud.
A rod = a dead wood that is small and fragile.
Meaning a life that is small and powerless, fragile and easily destroyed, hopeless.
But with Holy Spirit, we can live (bud).
John 6:63
6:63 "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and [they] are life.
The Holy Spirit is able to give us life physicallyin the midst of difficulties, powerlessness, even impossibility in study, work, etc.
The Holy Spirit also gives us life spiritually, we can live in righteousness and holiness in every word, thoughts, etc.
The sign of living spiritually can be seen through words; there is no lying, no complaining, no slander, etc.
On the contrary, being dead spiritually can also be detected from our tongue.
- The Holy Spirit makes Aaron’s rod flower.
Flowering = The Holy Spirit gives us the gifts of Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 4:7
4:7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.
The gift of Holy Spirit is a miraculous ability from Holy Spirit for us to be able to serve God according to the ministry.
The Holy Spirit helps us to always be fond (be faithful and be fervent) in ministry to God.
Do not be lazy or feel compelled in service and ministry!
Be alert!
If the flower has already fallen, the leaves can fall as well. So that life becomes a rod again that has no meaning, fragile, and will be destroyed/perished forever.
- The Holy Spirit makes Aaron’s rod bear fruit.
The Holy Spirit changes/renews our lives sowe can have the fruits of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-23
5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
5:23 gentleness, selfcontrol. Against such there is no law.
The 9 fruits of the Spirit are grouped into three parts as follows:
- Love, joy, peace = the picture of God the Father (Lord).
- Longsuffering, kindness, goodness = the picture of the Son of God (Jesus).
- Faithfulness, gentleness, self-control = the picture of the Holy Spirit (Christ).
So we return to the picture of God the trinity= returning to original creation that is perfect and glorious as God, we become the Heavenly bride that is ready to welcome the Jesus' second coming on the glorious clouds.
God blesses us.
