Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In the Tabernacle, Luke 6 refers to
the Court(righteousness).
God creates human in His image. But, they fall into sin, so they lose God's righteousness, holiness, glory and image.
Consequently, they have the image of dog and swine (the image of Satan). So, God wants to return us to have His image, started from righteousness.
God's effort to return human to His image is called
God's upbringing.
There are seven things that arebrought upby God and they are as follows:
- Luke 6:1-5is about the body is brought up by God,
- Luke 6:12-16 is about the soul is brought up by God,
- Luke 6:17-19 is about the spirit is brought up by God,
- Luke 6:6-11is about the deed is brought up by God,
- Luke 6:20-26 is about the mind is brought up by God,
- Luke 6:27-45is about the heart is brought up by God,
- Luke 6:46-49is about life journey is brought up by God.
AD. 2. The soul is brought up by God
Luke 6:12-166:12. Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
6:13. And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles:
6:14. Simon, whom He also named Peter, and Andrew his brother; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew;
6:15. Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called the Zealot;
6:16. Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot who also became a traitor. Our body is brought up by God that we enter spiritual activity.
The soul is brought up by God that we have
spiritual position.
There are two kinds of Jesus' activities as follows:
- Jesus goes to the mountain. It describes about Jesus goes to the hill of Golgotha.
It means that Jesus must suffer, pour out His blood and die on the cross (blood sign).
- Jesusprays and continues all night in prayer to God.
It refers to intercession prayer (incense sign).
The activity of Jesus reminds us to the activity of Aaron, the High Priest.
Once a year, Aaron goes to the Most Holy Place and brings
blood and incensefor the ministry of reconciliation for Israel, so they receive remission of sins.
So, the activity of Jesus goes to the mountain to pray is personal appearance of Jesus for the ministry of reconciliation, namely
Jesus brings up our soul by His blood.
Revelation 1:5-6
1:5. and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
1:6. and has made us kings and prieststo His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.If Jesus brings up our soul, the result is as follows:
- Jesus releases us from sins.
- Jesus makes us kings and priests.
The priest is one who is holy and has ministry (having spiritual position or place in the body of Christ and in the Heaven).
The process for becoming the priest and king (to have spiritual position) is as follows:
- We are called by God.
Luke 6:13
6:13. And when it was day, He calledHis disciplesto Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles:
Romans 3:23
3:23. for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
Jesus calls us because we have sinned and cannot return to God. If we are not called, we are going further and further away up to being separated from God and going to the Hell.
Romans 3:24
3:24. being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
What is the sinner called by God for?
That we are justified, forgiven and saved by the blood of Jesus.
The signs of receiving salvation are as follows:
Acts 2:36-38, 40
2:36. "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredlythat God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."
2:37. Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"
2:38. Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptizedin the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
2:40. And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation."
- Believing that only Jesus is the Savior
- Repenting, stopping doing sin (having died to sins) and returning to God.
- Water and Holy Spirit baptism. We are reborn that we have heavenly life, namely life in righteousness.
- We are chosen by God.
Luke 6:13
6:13. And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chosetwelvewhom He also named apostles:
Exodus 28:1
28:1. "Now take Aaronyour brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister to Me as priest, Aaron and Aaron's sons: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Exodus 29:1
29:1. "And this is what you shall do to them to hallow them for ministering to Me as priests: Take one young bull and two rams without blemish,
From among the children of Israel, only one that is chosen to be purified and used by God, that he may minister God as priest.
The selection to become a priest is too heavy. So, Jesus has to die on the cross. We experience purification in the Holy Place, namely perseverance in three kinds of main services as follows:
- The Golden Candlestick: perseverance in committing general service, youth service= fellowship with Holy Spirit in His gifts.
- The Table of Showbread: perseverance in committing bible study service and holy communion= fellowship with the Son of God in the teaching Word and Christ's sacrifice.
- The Golden Altar of Incense: perseverance in committing prayer service= fellowship with Father of God in His love.
In the Holy Place, our body, soul and spirit are purified by God the Trinity by true teaching Word,
Especially, we are purified from the sins of Judas and they are as follows:
- a thief, taking God's.
- a traitor, being disobedient,
- a liar.
Ephesians 4:11-12
4:11. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12. for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
After being purified, we are called to enter the ministry of the building of the body of Christ, starting from marriage, shepherding, inter shepherding up to the perfection of the Body of Christ.
We have to notice
three things in the ministry of the building of the body of Christas follows:
- We serve according to our ministry.
Five ministries refer to the hand of God. If we serve according to our ministry, the Hand of God will work in the congregation.
- We serve with the gift of Holy Spirit, which means miraculous ability from Holy Spirit.
By the gifts of Holy Spirit, we can work together with others and God and cannot be hindered by anything.
- We serve by the love of God.
We serve since we love God, and have no purpose to get physical advantage.
If we serve without love or we have arrogance, we cannot submit, but have purpose to get physical advantage and fall into sins concerning treasure (like Judas), throne, and woman (fornication sin).
If we submit and obey, we are stretching out our hand to God and so is God.
I Peter 5:5-65:5. Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."
5:6. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,If we are in the Hand of God, He will exalt us. We will be exalted in due time if we want to receive the calling and election of God and serve Him earnestly with obedience although we have nothing or no hope but low position and we live in sin now.
We just wait for His time.
God finishes all problems up to the impossible one, our labor and heavy burden are lifted up that we feel easy and light. God makes our future beautiful and successful in His time. He changes us little by little until we are perfect and meet Him on the glorious clouds.
God blesses us.
