Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 10:1-12 is about The Seventy Sent Out.
Luke 10:1-2
10:1. After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.
10:2. Then He said to them, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
The deputation of God is linked with the time of harvest or the last days.
There are two kinds of ministry in the field of God as follows:
- The days of sowing(the first).
It means the revival of Holy Spirit at the first rain, namely the one in the gospel word or good news that preaches about Jesus' first coming to the world on the cross to call the sinners, so they believe Jesus and can be saved.
It has been done by the apostles of the first rain since Holy Spirit was poured in Jerusalem. It is continued by the evangelists from western country for about twenty centuries.
- The days of harvest(the last).
It means the revival of Holy Spirit at the last rain, namely the one in the teaching word that is sharper than any two-edged sword or bride tidings that preaches about Jesus' second coming in the glory as king of kings and the bridegroom of Heaven, to choose saved people to be purified up to become perfect like Jesus.
Matthew 25:6
25:6. "And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!'Now, there are many people that have been sowed need to be harvested. That is why a lot of priests and kings are needed in the revival of harvest or the revival in teaching word that is sharper than any two-edged sword.
John 4:36-384:36. "And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.
4:37. "For in this the saying is true: 'One sows and another reaps.'
4:38. "I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors."Now we are in the days of harvest or the last days and we reap what we have not sowed, because the earlier evangelists have sowed the gospel word. But God is fair. He who sows and he who reaps may receive the wages, namely heavenly bliss up to eternal life. Let us be lifted up to become the messenger of the LORD, namely the priest and king.
The priestis one who is holy and has ministry.
Ephesians 4:11-12
4:11. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12. for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
We receive the ministry from God through the laying on of the hands of the shepherd.
2 Timothy 1:6
1:6. Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
Do not sacrifice the ministry for something in the world, because the destiny will become like Esau (crying in the world) and Judas (just buying the grave and being ashamed).
The priest is one who is used in the ministry of the building of the body of Christ. It starts from marriage, shepherding, inter-shepherding, until the Gentiles and Israelites become one perfect body of Christ and enter New Jerusalem.
Ephesians 4:124:12. for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
Revelation 21:9-10
21:9. Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, "Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife."
21:10. And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
We must be sent by God to minister to Him according to the ministry that He gives to us.
1 John 3:2-3
3:2. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
3:3. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
Our attitude is we must hope Jesus' second coming, so we are not left and destroyed.
If we are left, all things we reach in this world will be in vain and destroyed with the world.
Our highest aim is we are on the glorious clouds when Jesus comes a second time.
The practices of hoping God are as follows:
- We are pure just as Jesus is pure.
1 John 3:3
3:3. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
We are purified by the work of the sword that is sharper than any two-edged sword.
Hebrews 4:12
4:12. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Our heart and mind must be purified from sin of wickedness, uncleanness, and bitterness.
Sin of wickedness is the love of money, so we become greedy and stingy.
Stinginess means one cannot give for the work of God and others in need. We must be able to give according to the encouragement from God.
Greediness means one steals/ robs God's (the tithe and special offerings) and others' (one does not pay the debt or makes corruption).
Sin of uncleanness is sin of eating-drinking (smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse) and marrying-giving in marriage.
Sin of bitterness is hatred, revenge, and envy.
We must be purified up to our word.
Psalm 149:6
149:6. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand,
Our mouth is purified until it is only used for speaking good and true word, testifying, worshipping God, up to being honest and we do not stumble in word. We are perfect like Jesus. We become the house of prayer and our prayer is answered by God.
James 3:2
3:2. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
- Perseverance in the shepherding.
Romans 8:25
8:25. But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
The sheepfold is the same as the holy place in Tabernacle.
There are three kinds of tool there. They refer to three kinds of service as follows:
- Golden Candlestick= perseverance in committing general service, the fellowship with Holy Spirit God in His gifts.
- Table of Showbread= perseverance in committing bible study service and holy communion, the fellowship with Son of God in the teaching word and Christ's sacrifice.
- Golden Altar of Incense= perseverance in committing prayer service, the fellowship with God the Father in His love.
In the sheepfold, our body, soul and spirit attach to God the Trinity, so we experience purification continuously and we result sweet wine, namely heavenly bliss until we enter the marriage supper of the Lamb of God.
- We always receive new strength from God so we can be strong and of good courage.
Isaiah 40:29-31
40:29. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.
40:30. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall,
40:31. But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
Being strong and of good courage means as follows:
- Not being weary, but keeping faithful and fervent in ministry.
- Not falling in sin up to the peak of sin, but keeping on living in righteousness and holiness.
- Not being disappointed or desperate or leaving God no matter the thing we face.
- Keeping on worshipping God, we trust and lift up our hands to Him.
So, God stretches out His merciful hands to hug us like two wings of a great eagle.
The usefulness is as follows:
- To pass the storm in this world, so everything is calm, easy, and light.
All of our problems up to the impossible ones are finished in due time.
- To evacuate us to the wilderness far from the eye of antichrist. We are taken care of and protected by God.
- To lift us up to the glorious clouds.
We are restored from our falls. We are lifted up from failure to beautiful and successful life.
We are used in the revival of the building of the body of Christ.
We are purified and changed, starting from obedience.
Until when Jesus comes a second time, we are perfected to enter New Jerusalem.
God blesses us.
