To coincide with Blessing of Marriage ServicePeace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 10:1-3
10:1. After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.
10:2. Then He said to them, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
10:3. "Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.
The deputation of God is linked with the great harvest.
There are two kinds of time as follows:
- The time of sowing, namely the revival of Holy Spirit of the first rain in the gospel word to bring the sinners to believe in Jesus.
- The time of harvest, namely the revival of Holy Spirit of the last rain in the teaching word that is sharper than any two-edged sword. This word is to choose saved people up to being perfect like Jesus.
The ministry starts from marriage. The marriage must be increased from physical one to spiritual one, namely entering the marriage supper of the Lamb of God, Paradise, and the kingdom of Heaven.
We have to keep the righteousness of the marriage according to the bible and also holiness, and unity of the marriage.
The situation of the deputation is as lambs among wolves, the scary situation.
The way out is we must be shepherded well and truly. It means we must confess that we depend on Jesus, The Great shepherd.
The practices of being shepherded well are as follows:
- We are always in the sheepfold or perseverance in committing three kinds of main service.
- We obey the voice of the Shepherd.
The target of the shepherding is the heart which is the center of our physical and spiritual life.
In the ministry, we cannot use cleverness, wealth,
et cetera, but good conscience that is worked by God.
The results of the shepherding are as follows:
- The pure heart.
Genesis 37:2-3
37:2. This is the history of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brothers. And the lad was with the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives; and Joseph brought a bad report of them to his father.
37:3. Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age. Also he made him a tunic of many colors.
It means one is not evil and unclean.
The root of wickedness is the love of money, namely stinginess (one cannot give) and greediness (one robs others').
Uncleanness is sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage.
Having no wickedness and uncleanness means one does not compromise and agree with the sin, even hates the sin and lie.
- The tender heart.
Exodus 3:1, 11
3:1. Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
3:11. But Moses said to God, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?"
Moses could say: "Who am I?" He confessed that he was incapable. It means his heart is tender.
The tender heart means one can confess his mistake and weakness, and he can forgive others' sin.
The tender heart does not have bitterness and self-truth.
Numbers 12:1-2, 12-13
12:1. Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
12:2. So they said, "Has the LORD indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?" And the LORD heard it.
12:12. "Please do not let her be as one dead, whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb!"
12:13. So Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, "Please heal her, O God, I pray!"
If we confess and forgive one another, the blood of Jesus will take away all of our sins, so everything becomes calm. All things are finished and become easy and light in due time.
- The obedient heart.
John 21:15-19
21:15. So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Feed My lambs."
21:16. He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Tend My sheep."
21:17. He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep.
21:18. "Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish."
21:19. This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, "Follow Me."
Peter willingly sacrificed himself up to his life to God.
The practice of obedience is we can stretch out our hand to God. We totally surrender to God and worship Him, so He also stretches out His hand to us. We live in the hand of God's great mercy as the Great Shepherd.
1 Peter 5:5-6
5:5. Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."
5:6. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
We just obey God and call His name, and He will lift us up in due time. It means we have beautiful and successful future.
We are purified continuously up to perfection like Him. We are lifted up on the glorious clouds until we enter the Paradise, New Jerusalem, and the kingdom of Heaven forever.
God blesses us.
