Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 9:1-2
9:1. Then He calledHis twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.
9:2. He sentthem to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
Jesus called twelve disciples to be sent. So, the sequence is we must receive God's call first and then we are sent to preach the kingdom of God.
Twelve disciples refer to twelve loaves on the Table of Showbread, which are set in two rows, six in a row (66). It refers to the Bible. It means we have fellowship with the word of God or Jesus as the bread of life.
The process to eat the word of God is as follows:
- Hearing the word of God earnestly.
- Understanding the word of God, so it is written at forehead.
- Believing the word of God, so it becomes faith in the heart.
- Practicing the word of God or being obedient to the Word.
1 Peter 1:221:22. Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one anotherfervently with a pure heart,If we eat the word of God, we will obey it. It means we live in holiness, so we can love one another with a pure heart.
Matthew 7:21-23
7:21. "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
7:22. "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
7:23. "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
After being called, then we can be sent.
On the contrary, how great our ministry before men is, it will be rejected and cast out into perdition in the hell forever if we serve without obedience to the Word, holiness and love.
When Jesus sends us, He gives two things as follows:
- The power. It means the strength and ability.
- The strength.
2 Corinthians 4:7-9
4:7. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the powermay be of God and not of us.
4:8. We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
4:9. persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed––
How great a man in the world is, he is just mortar pot that does not have any power, but fragility.
So, the mortar pot must be filled by heavenly treasure, namely obeying the word of God, so we receive the excellence of the power from God. We are not disappointed and desperate against trial, stress, obstruction and obstacle, but we can endure. We keep being faithful and fervent in spirit in ministering to God until He comes a second time.
- The ability.
Ephesians 4:11, 7, 12
4:11. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:7. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.
4:12. for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
The ability is the gifts or miraculous ability of Holy Spirit in accordance with the ministry that God gives to us.
We are used in the edifying of the perfect body of Christ.
- The power.
If we obey the word of God, we receive the power as follows:
Luke 9:1
9:1. Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.
- The power of healing.
We experience physical miracle. The impossible thing becomes possible and the thing that has been destroyed can be good.
- The authority over all demons.
It means the power of life renewal or renewing from carnal men to spiritual ones like Jesus.
2 Corinthians 4:10-11
4:10. always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.
4:11. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifestedin our mortal flesh.
Satan does not control us anymore, but the life of Jesus is given to us.
Satan is father of liars.
The renewing is started from no lie(the biggest miracle), saying yes if yes and no if no.
Proverbs 15:8
15:8. The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.
If we are honest, our word becomes blessing. It determines our life. It is like the big ship that is turned by a very small rudder.
1 Peter 3:10
3:10. For "He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit.
The good tongue gives good days.
James 3:2
3:2. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
Revelation 19:6-7
19:6. And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!
19:7. "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."
We are purified until being perfect and we are worthy to greet when Jesus comes a second time on the glorious clouds.
God blesses us.
