Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 11:24-26
11:24. "When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.'
11:25. "And when he comes, he finds it swept and put in order.
11:26. "Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first."
There are two possibilities of our life as follows:
- The Spirit of God dwells in our life, so we become the house of prayer. We are defended and owned by God.
- The evil and unclean spirits dwell in our life, so we become the den of thieves that will be destroyed forever.
The target of evil and unclean spirits is the dry place. It is the same as Christian who is dry spiritually. He is like the fig tree which is dried up from the roots.
Markus 11:20-2111:20. Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
11:21. And Peter, remembering, said to Him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away."It means that
his heart and whole life are dry, and it can be detected from the dry tongue.
James 3:5-12
3:5. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!
3:6. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.
33:7. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.
33:8. But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
3:9. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God.
3:10. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.
3:11. Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?
3:12. Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.
The facts found in the dry tongue or vain word are as follows:
- The word which is like the fire.
James 3:5
3:5. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!
It means rude word and the word that causes problem and hurts others, even God.
The example is gossiping, slandering, up to the blasphemy to the true teaching word (blaming the true teachings or God and justifying the false ones.
It is the tongue that is controlled by antichrist.
Revelation 13:5-6
13:5. And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.
13:6. Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.
- The unruly evil word.
James 3:7-8
3:7. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.
3:8. But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
It means the word that is full of deadly poison. It deadens our faith and spirituality.
The example is dirty, unclean, pornographic and unholy words.
It is the tongue that is controlled by Satan.
- The false or lying word.
James 3:9-12
The example is lie and false teaching. And also the spiritual thing is mixed with the physical one, especially in the ministry. The ministry only prioritizes physical prosperity and entertainment, but without the true teaching word or purification.
It is the tongue that is controlled by false prophet.
That is why we must do the true service, namely the one that prioritizes the true teaching word to purify and perfect our life.
So, the target of unclean and evil spirits is Christian who is dry spiritually. It is the same as the dry tongue because he is controlled by Satan the trinity. His life is miserable and destroyed until being burnt by the fire of the hell. He is destroyed forever.
Philippians 2:8-10
2:8. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
2:9. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
2:10. that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
God does not will if the human He has created especially Christian experiences the dry tongue and becomes the place of evil and unclean spirits up to perishing.
That is why Jesus willingly becomes obedient to the point of death on the cross to do the things as follows:
- Getting the name which is above every name to defeat Satan the trinity and deliver our tongue out of the grasp of Satan the trinity.
- Pouring out Holy Spirit to all of us.
John 16:7
16:7. "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
As for us, we must appreciate Christ's sacrifice by becoming obedient to God, the shepherd and physical parents until our flesh does not sound anymore.
Philippians 2:11
2:11. and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. As a result, we receive the power of Jesus' name to defeat Satan the trinity, so our tongue can confess Jesus. It is the same as confessing sin to God and others. Do not sin anymore after being forgiven!
The tongue can testifyabout the thing that God has done in our life, namely helping and purifying us.
The tongue can worship Godso we are always anointed by Holy Spirit. We are not dry spiritually, so there is no place for evil and unclean spirits.
The usefulnesses of Holy Spirit are as follows:
- Holy Spirit is like the flaming fire to purify the Gentilesfrom the characteristic of dog and swine.
Romans 15:16
15:16. that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 4:11-12
4:11. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12. for the equipping of the saintsfor the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
As a result, we are equipped with the ministry and the gift of Holy Spirit, so we can minister to God faithfully and fervently. We are used in the ministry of the building of the perfect body of Christ. It starts from household, shepherding, and inter-shepherding.
Isaiah 49:3-4
49:3. "And He said to me, 'You are My servant, O Israel, In whom I will be glorified.'
49:4. Then I said, 'I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and in vain; Yet surely my just reward is with the LORD, And my work with my God.'"
Our reward and work are with the Lord. God is able to take care of our life up to eternal one.
- Holy Spirit is like the river of water of life.
Revelation 22:1
22:1. And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Holy Spirit gives the true satisfactionso we are not dry and thirsty. We do not look for satisfaction in the world and fall into sin.
Holy Spirit changes us from fleshly men to spiritual ones like Jesus. It starts from being as clear as crystal. It means honesty and having trust to Jesus.
John 11:38-40
11:38. Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it.
11:39. Jesus said, "Take away the stone." Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, "Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days."
11:40. Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you would believeyou would see the glory of God?"
The physical miracle happens too. The thing that has been destroyed can be good. Failure is changed into success and the impossible thing becomes possible.
It continues until Jesus comes a second time that we are changed to become as perfect as He is. We are worthy to greet when Jesus comes a second time on the glorious clouds.
God blesses us.
