Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 9:43b-45
9:43b But while everyone marveled at all the things which Jesus did, He said to His disciples,
9:44. "Let these words sink down into your ears, for the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men."
9:45. But they did not understand this saying, and it was hidden from them so that they did not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask Him about this saying.
Jesus again predicts His death.
Why should it be repeated?
- Making us understandabout the preaching of the word of God.
- Making us rememberthe preaching of the word of God.
- We are convinced in ourselvesthat Jesus has died. He truly has died and risen.
We must believe that Jesus truly has died, because there is one, namely antichrist, who tries to
falsify His death and resurrection.
Revelation 13:1213:12. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.Antichrist just suffers deadly wound. It means he is neither dead nor raised, namely he keeps sinning and holding the flesh with all of its lust.
That is why we must experience the death
and resurrection with Jesus.
If we believe that Jesus truly dies and rises, we must also experience the death and resurrection with Him.
The death with Jesus is we must stop sinning in any situations. It is the same as being dead to sin, so we will experience the resurrection with Jesus, namely life in righteousness, holiness up to perfection. We are glorified with Jesus from now on in this world until the everlasting glory.
We celebrate the Passover means celebrating the resurrection of Jesus, so we experience the power of the resurrection of Jesus.
John 20:19-20
20:19. Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shutwhere the disciples were assembled, for fearof the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace be with you."
20:20. When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.
The power of the
resurrection of Jesus is to remove the fear/worry/stress.
At evening refers to the last days or approaching the second coming of Jesus. There are a lot of churches of God in the last days that shut the door. It means as follows:
- Fear, worry, and stress because of the things as follows:
- Hiding the sin.
- Facing the problem, shock and crisis in all things.
- A church shuts the door because the pastor is afraid if his sheep are taken by others.
- Fearing the second coming of Jesus.
Revelation 6:15-16
6:15. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,
6:16. and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
Luke 21:25-26
21:25. "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;
21:26. "men's hearts failing them from fearand the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken.
Being afraid and stressed is the main killer, both physically and spiritually.
It means one is not fervent in worshipping God. He cannot pray until he perishes forever in the lake of fire and brimstone or the hell.
Revelation 21:8
21:8. "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
- Facing the dead end, namely the impossibility that makes us desperate.
Shutting the door at evening has become a normal thing, so there are a lot of young men who shut the door, namely keeping sinning and living in fear until the door of heaven is closed.
The way out to face the locked door is we must see Jesus who is risen and brings peace.
John 20:19-20
20:19. Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace be with you."
20:20. When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were gladwhen they saw the Lord.
How do we see Jesus?
Psalms 17:15
17:15. As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.
We see God in righteousness, namely the revelation of the true teaching word or Jesus Himself.
Although the door is locked, Jesus can enter it.
It means the revival of the true teaching word cannot be repressed by anything, even it is bigger to help the church of God who is in fear and to unite the perfect body of Christ, so we are worthy to greet when Jesus comes a second time.
The process to see Jesus through the revelation of the word of Godis as follows.
John 20:2020:20. When He had said this, He showed them His handsand His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.
- Seeing Jesus' side of which the blood and water come out.
John 19:31-34
19:31. Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
19:32. Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him.
19:33. But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.
19:34. But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.
Actually Jesus has died with four main wounds (two at hands and two at feet). It is His love to save Israelites, God's chosen people. The fifth wound is made by a soldier (a Gentile) at Jesus' side. It is the biggest and deepest wound, of which blood and water come out. It is God's mercy to save the Gentiles.
The blood sign means repenting or stopping sinning and returning to God. It is the same as being dead to sin.
Revelation 21:8
21:8. "But the cowardly(1), unbelieving(2), abominable(3), murderers(4), sexually immoral(5), sorcerers(6), idolaters(7), and all liars(8)shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
We repent especially from eight sins that bring us to the hell.
It is started from the cowardly, meaning being afraid of something until having no fear of God. It is ended with the liars.
The water sign means water baptism.
Romans 6:4
6:4. Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
The true water baptism is one who has died to sin or repented must be buried in the water with Jesus and come out or rise from water with Him to receive new life or heavenly one.
Matthew 3:16
3:16. When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
The new life means one lives in truth and sincerity.
1 Corinthians 5:7-8
5:7. Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
5:8. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Psalms 37:25
37:25. I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.
The result of living in truth is we are never forsaken by God, but being blessed up to our descendants and becoming blessing to the others.
- Seeing Jesus' nail-pierced hand.
John 20:20
20:20. When He had said this, He showed them His handsand His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.
The hand is used for working. It means we work like Jesus does, namely we work in accordance with the true teaching word, in obedience and faithfulness.
The term to minister to God is holiness, so we are given the ministry and the gift of Holy Spirit or the tunic of many colors.
Exodus 29:1a
29:1. "And this is what you shall do to them to hallow them for ministering to Me as priests:.....
Ephesians 4:11-12
4:11. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12. for the equipping of the saintsfor the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
We must willingly suffer in the flesh to hold our ministry until the last line, namely up to death or until God comes a second time. It is the same as the robe dipped in blood.
If we minister to God in holiness, faithfulness, and obedience, our life will become beautiful which means we experience beautiful and successful future.
- Seeing Jesus' face.
John 20:20
20:20. When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.
Jesus' countenance is like the sun.
Revelation 1:16
1:16. He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sunshining in its strength.
Numbers 6:26
6:26. The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace." '
Jesus' countenance gives us peace.
We do not feel anything that flesh feels. There are no more fear, bitterness, uncleanness, et cetera. Our heart is peaceful and sincere.
We just feel God's love. We become the same as a powerless baby. We just cry and worship God. We totally surrender to God and beg His mercy, so He stretches out His hand to us.
Psalms 8:2-5
8:2. Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.
8:3. When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
8:4. What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?
8:5. For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
The results are follows:
- [verse 3] God's hands protect us from the fiery dart of the evil (sin and temptation), so we do not stumble/fall but keep ministering to God faithfully and fervently until the last line.
- [verse 4] God's hands are able to create something that does not exist yet to take care of us. The impossible thing becomes possible and all problems are finished by God.
God bears our labor and heavy burden, so our life becomes easy and light.
- God's hands are able to purify and change us little by little up to perfection like Jesus. It is started from being honest.
Until when God comes a second time, we are changed to become perfect. We are worthy to greet Jesus' second coming.
The last Passover happens, namely we are free from the world to meet God on the glorious clouds.
God blesses us.
