Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 14 refers to the seven sprinklings of blood in front of the Ark of the Covenant. It refers to the flesh suffering of the church of God together with Jesus. This is the last purification for the church of God to reach the perfection.
Revelation 14 is divided into three parts as follows:
- Verse 1-5 = the Church's following Jesus (It is explained in General Service in Malang, August 15,2021).
- Verse 6-13 = the judgment.
- Verse 14-20 = the harvest on earth.
We learn the first part, namely the church's following Jesus.
The Church's following Jesus is signified by the sprinkling of blood that leads to purification and renewal until it reach to the Mount Zion (the perfect quality as the Bride of Heaven).
Revelation 14:2-514:2 And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters(1), and like the voice of loud thunder(2). And I heard the sound of harpists(3) playing their harps. 14:3 They sang as it were a new song(4) before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. 14:4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins(5). These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits(6) to God and to the Lamb. 14:5 And in their mouth was found no deceit(7), for they are without fault before the throne of God.
There are seven facts about our following Jesus up to Mount Zion as follows:
- [Revelation 14:2a] like the voice of many waters (it is explained in Bible Study Service and Holy Communion, August 31, 2021).
- [Revelation 14:2b] like the voice of loud thunder.
- [Revelation 14:2c] the sound of harpists.
- [Revelation 14:3] a new song.
- [Revelation 14:4a] they are virgins.
- [Revelation 14:4b] being firstfruits to God.
- [Revelation 14:5] in their mouth was found no deceit = for they are without fault.
We learn the first point, namely it is like the voice of many waters. The church's following Jesus is like the sound of many waters. It means being like the fast and strong stream that cannot be held until it reaches the end.
Revelation 19:619:6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! This is the last place of the many waters.
Following Jesus that is like the sound of many waters starts from now until it ends in the sea of men or all people from four corners of the world. It is the perfect body of Christ that cries out "Alleluia" to greet the second coming of Jesus in the glory as the King of kings and the Bridegroom of Heaven on the glorious clouds, and then we will enter the Paradise and the New Jerusalem.
Ezekiel 47:1,3,5,847:1 Then he brought me back to the door of the temple; and there was water, flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the front of the temple faced east; the water was flowing from under the right side of the temple, south of the altar.
47:3 And when the man went out to the east with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the water came up to my ankles.
47:5 Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be crossed.
47:8 Then he said to me: "This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed.
The title of the passage is The healing Waters and Trees.
From this point, following Jesus that is like the sound of many waters is the same as the river from the temple that cannot be held back by anything. Even the water of the Dead Sea (where there is no living things) becomes the fresh water. It means that the death cannot hold it back.
Following Jesus that is like the river of life means being in the anointing of Holy Spirit that increases.
If the anointing increases, the sprinkling of blood also increases to the perfection. The processes of following Jesus in the river of life are as follows:
- The water came up to ankles.
Ezekiel 47:3
47:3 And when the man went out to the east with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the water came up to my ankles.
In Tabernacle, it refers to the Gate.
It means that Holy Spirit anoints us, so we can stand firmly, believe, or have the strong faith in Jesus as the only Savior and we hold fast the true teaching word.
- The water came up to knees.
Ezekiel 47:4a
47:4 Again he measured one thousand and brought me through the waters; the water came up to my knees.
In Tabernacle, it refers to the Altar of Burnt Offerings.
It means that Holy Spirit anoints our knees, so we can kneel down in front of God. It is the same as being humble to confess the sins to God and others. If we are forgiven, do not sin anymore!
Being humble is in pairs with being gentle.
Being gentle refers to the ability to forgive and forget other's sin.
If we are humble and gentle, the blood of Jesus will wipe our sin, so we can repent and die to sin especially the unbelieving sin, not being able to confess and forgive sins, as well as hatred.
- The water came up to waist.
Ezekiel 47:4b
47:4 Again he measured one thousand and brought me through; the water came up to my waist.
In Tabernacle, it refers to the Brazen Laver.
It means that Holy Spirit anoints our waist, so we experience the newborn life through the true water baptism.
The true water baptism means that one who has believed in Jesus and repented or died to sin must be buried in water together with Jesus and risen from it together with Him, so he receives the new life or heavenly one. It is living in righteousness or having the belt of righteousness.
Ephesians 6:14
6:14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
- The water that could not be crossed.
Ezekiel 47:5
47:5 Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be crossed.
In Tabernacle, it refers to the Door of Tabernacle.
It means that Holy Spirit fills and overflows in our life.
The matter of Holy Spirit's overflowing is the same as His pouring the love of God for us, so we can love God and we become strong and of good courage.
Romans 5:5
5:5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Being strong and of good courage means that we are not disappointed or desperate and do not leave God. We do not follow the will of flesh anymore because we stay in the Holy Place (the sheepfold, the perseverance in doing the three main services). We obey the voice of the shepherd and we are faithful and fervent in ministry.
As the result, "I shall not want".
It means that we receive the physical and spiritual blessing as well as the blessing in marriage abundantly.
After that, we must continue because our final destination is not blessing.
- The water enters the Dead Sea, and its waters are healed, so the fish can live.
Ezekiel 47:6-9
47:6 He said to me, "Son of man, have you seen this?" Then he brought me and returned me to the bank of the river.
47:7 When I returned, there, along the bank of the river, were very many trees on one side and the other.
47:8 Then he said to me: "This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed.
47:9 "And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes.
This refers to following Jesus that becomes blessing for others. When we are blessed, we must remember others.
Thus, Holy Spirit gives the gifts for employing us in the building of the perfect body of Christ. We are employed to bring people who die because of sin to believe in Jesus and they can be saved.
We bring the saved people to be shepherded well and correctly until they reach the perfection. We become the Bride of Heaven who is ready to greet the second coming of Jesus and we enter the New Jerusalem.
Being the blessing starts from marriage, shepherding, and inter-shepherding.
Ezekiel 47:11
47:11 "But its swamps and marshes will not be healed; they will be given over to salt.
Be careful! The swamp is the selfish life. The life contains the blessings from God only, but he cannot overflow or he does neither want to follow Jesus nor become blessing for others.
The swamp is the same as Babylon. It means that one is employed in the building of Babylon, the bride of Satan who will be destroyed.
Isaiah 14:23
14:23 "I will also make it a possession for the porcupine, And marshes of muddy water; I will sweep it with the broom of destruction," says the LORD of hosts.
We are employed by God and blessed until becoming blessing for others, but it is not enough.
Ezekiel 47:10
47:10 "It shall be that fishermen will stand by it from En Gedi to En Eglaim; they will be places for spreading their nets. Their fish will be of the same kinds as the fish of the Great Sea, exceedingly many.
"nets" refers to the life who is employed to catch the souls.
The net must be willing to be dried in the sun.
It means that we are willing to experience the sprinkling of blood (the suffering with Jesus).
Why must we have the sprinkling of blood?
- For doing the introspection in our life through the sharpness of the word, so we can be employed more by God.
- It is for worshiping God a lot. We fall down at God's feet. We surrender fully to Him.
The examples are as follows:
- Esther represents the women.
Esther 4:16
4:16 "Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!"
She surrendered to save the Israelites.
- Paul the apostle represents the men.
Acts 20:24
20:24 "But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
Paul the apostle surrendered his life to save the Gentiles.
We stretch out our hands and God will stretch out His Holy Spirit hands toward us.
As a result, the water of the Dead Sea becomes fresh and the dead becomes alive.
The meanings are as follows:
- Holy Spirit is able to care our life that is small and powerless in the midst of the difficulties in the world until the age when the Antichrist reigns on the earth.
- The impossible things become possible. Holy Spirit is able to finish all the impossible problems.
- Holy Spirit is able to give the future in the midst of impossibilities.
- Holy Spirit is able to change us from the carnal man to the spiritual one like Jesus.
When Jesus comes a second time, we will be changed to become as perfect as He is to greet His second coming on the glorious clouds.
Nahum 2:10
2:10 She is empty, desolate, and waste! The heart melts, and the knees shake; Much pain is in every side, And all their faces are drained of color.
Without Holy Spirit, our faces are drained of color.
What is our condition? Let us follow the flow of Holy Spirit, so we can believe, repent, and be reborn and shepherded in faithfulness and obedience. Sooner or later, it will bear the sweet fruit. After that, we become the blessing for others. That is not enough; we must experience the sprinkling of blood, so
the shekinah glory will work in our life.
God blesses us.
