Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 1:17-181:17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.
1:18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.
John fell at Jesus’ feet means worshiping until the heart is broken and the flesh does not sound anymore as dead. John feels the touch of God’s right hand until he experiences the things as follows:
- “Do not be afraid”means the feeling renewal.
- “I am the First and the Last”means receiving the love of God that is increasing from the first love until the perfect one.
- “I was dead, and am alive.”
AD. 3. “I WAS DEAD, AND AM ALIVE”Revelation 1:181:18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.
Matthew 16:18-1916:18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
16:19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”Jesus died and rose to defeat the death so He held the key of Hades to close the door of Hades for us. Thus, we win from death and receive the key of kingdom of heaven.
Acts 14:2214:22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”The key of kingdom of heaven is the cross. It means suffering in flesh with Jesus.
Why do we need experience the cross, suffering in flesh with Jesus?
- We can repent and be born again.
1 Peter 4:1-2
4:1 Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,
4:2 that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.
Repentance means suffering in the flesh to stop sinning and return to God or die to sin. Being born again means suffering in the flesh to enter the water baptism. One who has died to sin or repented must be buried in the water with Jesus and come out or rise from water with Him to receive new life or heavenly life that is living in righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Romans 14:17
14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
- We can receive the Spirit of Glory or Holy Spirit.
1 Peter 4:12-14
4:12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;
4:13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
4:14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
John 6:63
6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
How great a flesh man is, as good as any man, without Holy Spirit, he is useless and dead in sin up to the peak of sin (eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage) until perdition. That is why we must willingly experience suffering in the flesh to receive Holy Spirit.
There are three forms of Holy Spirit that is poured upon us as follows:
- The sound of Holy Spirit as a rushing mighty wind.
Acts 2:1-2
2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
John 3:6-8
3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
3:7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
3:8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
We are born as the flesh man that cannot inherit the Heaven. That is why we must be born again by Holy Spirit to become spiritual man that can appear as the wind. It means as follows:
- Emptying ourselves, we have something but feel nothing. We do not count on something in this world but God.
- Obeying God until the flesh does not sound anymore.
John 20:19
20:19 Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.”
The result is we can pass through the locked doors. It means as follows:
- We cannot be hindered by anything so we are employed by God to bring the peace and unity in the body of Christ.
- There will always be way out from all troubles even the impossible one. For example is Moses when he faced Red Sea and Pharaoh.
Exodus 14:16, 21
14:16 But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
14:21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.
- The door of future that is beautiful and successful is open.
- Until the door of Heaven is open for us.
- Holy Spirit as of fire.
Acts 2:3-4
2:3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Romans 15:16
15:16 that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit as of fire purifies the Gentiles from characteristic of dog and sow so the word and deed are right and holy. We can live in holiness and become the acceptable offering to God.
Romans 12:11
12:11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
Holy Spirit makes us faithful and fervent in service and ministry.
Living in holiness and being faithful in service and ministry means being the servant of God as fire. It is the apple of eye of God that is specialized, protected, cared, and heeded by Him.
- Holy Spirit as the water of life.
John 7:37-39
7:37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
7:38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
7:39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the HolySpirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
How great the Gentiles are, without Holy Spirit, the fate is like the woman of Samaria that always thirsts, becomes bitter, and falls in the peak of sin.
For that reason, Jesus drinks the sour wine at the cross and gives the water of life to us.
The results are as follows:
- Holy Spirit gives the satisfaction to Gentiles so they will not search the worldly one, we will not fall in sin up to the peak of sin.
- Changing our life from carnal men to spiritual ones like Jesus.
John 4:39
4:39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.”
The mouth can testify about what God has done to our life.
John 4:23
4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
The mouth can worship God.
John 4:28
4:28 The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men,
We experience the renewal of characteristic or leave the old waterpot.
Revelation 22:1
22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
The renewal starts from being as clear as crystal or honesty and believing. The physical miracle will happen. The marriage and children that are ruined can be helped. For example, Lazarus died but could be risen.
The last miracle is when Jesus comes a second time, namely we are changed as glorious as He is.
God blesses us.
