From the Prayer Service in Medan
Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Mark 14:32-38
14:32 Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, "Sit here while I pray." 14:33 And He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed. 14:34 Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch." 14:35 He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. 14:36 And He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will." 14:37 Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour? 14:38 "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
It is the prayer of Gethsemane. It means the worship prayer to experience the ripping of flesh and its wills, lusts, and characters. It is the same as being watchful and praying for one hour.
The results are as follows:
- We experience the ripping of flesh, so we will not fall in the sin of Babylon (the sin of eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage) and we will not be punished together with Babylon.
Revelation 18:9-10
18:9 "The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning,
18:10 "standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.'
If the lust is ripped, we will be able to live in righteousness and holiness. Thus, we are equipped with the garment of ministry.
Ephesians 4:11-12
4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
We are employed in the building of the perfect body of Christ. It starts from marriage, shepherding, inter-shepherding, until the perfect body of Christ. Our life will become beautiful until the perfect one on the glorious clouds.
- We experience the ripping of flesh that is fearful, trembling, sad, grumbling, disappointed, desperate, as well as leaving the ministry.
Mark 14:33-34
14:33 And He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed.
14:34 Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch."
If the characteristics of the flesh are ripped, we will always give thanks to God. We can minister to Him until the end line.
- We experience the ripping of the flesh that makes us refuse the crossor become disobedient until there are the temptations and impossible problems.
Mark 14:36-38
14:36 And He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will."
14:37 Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour?
14:38 "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
When we face the problem, do not look for the way which is not according to the word of God because it is the same as the deadlock and destruction.
If the will of flesh is ripped, we can bear the cross and experience the sprinkling of blood together with Jesus. Thus, we can obey the Word until the flesh does not sound anymore. We can cry out "Abba, Father."
Luke 22:42-43
22:42 saying, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done."
22:43 Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.
When Jesus ripped the flesh until it did not sound anymore, the angel appeared and strengthened Him.
1 Peter 4:12-14
4:12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;
4:13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
4:14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
Now, if we receive the cross and obedience until the flesh does not sound anymore, we will experience the pouring, anointing, and fullness of Holy Spirit until we overflow in Him.
The functions of Holy Spirit are as follows:
- Holy Spirit is the One of Glory that changes us from carnal man to spiritual one like Jesus.
We become strong and of good courage and keep on holding fast the true teaching Word as well as being obedient. We live in holiness and righteousness. We refuse to sin. We are faithful and fervent in ministry until Jesus comes a second time. We experience the joy of heaven that cannot be affected by anything in the world.
The life renewal is like the burning of the flesh. We bring the fragrance of Christ through the Good News and Bride Tidings.
- Holy Spirit is the Comforter.
He makes us calm and peaceful. We always give thanks to God whatever the condition we may face. The life becomes easy and light.
- Holy Spirit is the Helper.
He is able to finish all of our problems; even the impossible ones. Finishing the problem is the same as wiping away our tears until our faces beam.
If Jesus comes a second time, we will experience the last miracle. We experience the life renewal until we are as perfect as Jesus is. We do not stumble in words anymore, but we can cry out "Alleluia" to greet the coming of Jesus on the glorious clouds. There are no more tears.
God blesses us.
