Speaker: Rev. Adri TujuHow strong we are in the world, we will fall if there is no Word of God in our life.
In addition, without the Word of God, the fall cannot be helped anymore.
Let us now well utilize the Word of God when it has still been preached! Someday the Word of God is no more in the world and the greatest crisis will happen in the world.
Hebrews1:31:3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
It is only the Word of God that is able to uphold our life, so we will never fall.
Moreover, when we have fallen, there is power of resurrection in the Word.
John 5:24-255:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
5:25 "Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.
For example, the power of the Word of God is able to resurrect Lazarus, who has been dead and rotten.
REMEMBER!
How good our life in the world is, we will have spiritual death to go toward forever perdition if we do not appreciate the Word of God.
Matthew 26:30-3126:30 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
26:31 Then Jesus said to them, "All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: 'I will strike the Shepherd, And the sheep of the flock will be scattered.'
The Mount of Olives produces olive fruits to be dried and pressed to become olive oil. It refers to Jesus Himself, who has died on the cross to pour out the oil of the anointing of Holy Spirit.
John 16:716:7. "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
Jesus has died on the cross to pour out Holy Spirit as well as to become Good Shepherd.
Thus, the anointing of Holy Spirit brings us to enter the true shepherding.
- The true shepherding brings us to persevere in doing three main services to the Lord.
- The false shepherding only seeks physical needs. It is the flesh that leads the service.
Galatians 5:16-17
5:16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
5:17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
Zechariah 11:4-511:4. Thus says the LORD my God, "Feed the flock for slaughter,
11:5 "whose owners slaughter them and feel no guilt; those who sell them say, 'Blessed be the LORD, for I am rich';and their shepherds do not pity them.
Verse 4 refers to the true shepherding, but verse 5 refers to the false one.
The flock for slaughter refers to blood sign.
Thus, the true shepherding is signified with the blood sign, referring to the suffering in flesh.
John 10:9-1010:9 "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
10:10 "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
The true shepherding brings us to have the tearing of the flesh, as if we enter by narrow door/the way of cross.
Matthew 7:13-147:13 "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
7:14 "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Only few people want to enter by the narrow gate or the true shepherding.
If we keep our flesh, we will never enter the true shepherding.
There is grass, referring to the food or Shepherding Word, in the true shepherding.
It is the Word that God trusts to a pastor to preach repetitiously.
The main need in the shepherding is a Shepherd, who gives us the grass, leads, and provides the water.
Thus, it is not the grass first that we need in the shepherding, but the Shepherd!
We also experience an abundant lifein the true shepherding. It happens
when we practice the Word.
The sign is when we begin to be able to give thanks to God, until the peak happens in heaven.
One of the sins that happen in the last days is being unthankful.
II Timothy 3:2,53:2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
The true shepherding is signified with the narrow gate, but there is the abundant life behind it. The abundant life begins from our thanksgiving to God.
On the contrary, the false shepherding offers the abundance first.
Romans 8:36-388:36 As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."
8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
8:38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
"More than conquerors" = we are weak but we can prevail, because we are in the true shepherding.
Satan is afraid the most of blood, especially the blood of Jesus.
Jesus as the Chief Shepherd will give us victory continually until we have the last victory, that we are on glorious clouds and enter the marriage supper of the Lamb of God up to the eternal heavenly kingdom.
John 6:636:63 "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. The flesh is always contradictory to the Spirit.
The flesh HAS TO BE TORN, so we can receive Holy Spirit,
moreover Holy Spirit will pour out
the love of Godin our life.
One of the practices of tearing the flesh is worshiping God.
I Corinthians 13:4-713:4. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
13:5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
13:6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
13:7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
The flesh is always not patient, easy to envy, and be arrogant with the possession.
We will be changed through the worship prayer.
THE LOVE OF GOD makes us not easy to envy or be arrogant.
God blesses you.
