Peace and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The whole Matthew 27 refers to the seven sprinklings of blood upon the Ark of the Covenant. It means the suffering Jesus experiences to save, sanctify and perfect us.
We are studying the sixth one in Matthew 27:57-61 now, namely Jesus is buried. He is buried to prove that He truly dies.
Matthew 27:6127:61 And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb. Joseph from Arimathea rolls a large stone against the door of the tomb and departs, but Mary Magdalene and the other Mary sit opposite the tomb, meaning enjoying the death or cross experience together with Jesus.
Do not want to finish the cross experience soon by seeking the way that is not in line with the Word of God.
Let us enjoy it together with Jesus through these practices.
- Sitting at Jesus’ feet to hear His Word.
Luke 10:39,42
10:39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word.
10:42 "But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her."
Jesus’ Word is the Word of God which is revealed through a verse explaining other verses in Bible. It is the true teaching Word. It is also the voice of shepherd or shepherding Word, namely the true teaching Word God trusts to a pastor to preach continually and repetitively to the congregation as their food.
If we hear and obey the shepherding Word, the hands of Good Shepherd will lead us to these two places.
- To enter the sheepfold through the narrow gate, referring to cross experience.
The sheepfold refers to perseverance in doing three main services to God as follows.
- Golden Candlestick, referring to perseverance in doing General Service.
- Table of Showbread, referring to perseverance in doing Bible Study Service with Holy Communion.
- Golden Altar of Incense, referring to perseverance in doing Prayer Service.
We are sanctified intensively and continually in the shepherding, so we can live in holiness and the anointing of Holy Spirit. In such condition, we will not spiritually become dry but get the blessings and joy.
Not being in the shepherding, someday one will become unholy and dry in spirituality for sure.
- To other sheepfold, so we become one flock with one Shepherd through our sacrifices, referring to the cross experience.
John 10:16
10:16 "And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.
Meaning we enter the revival of the building of Christ’s body or the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain, so we can become the one perfect body or God’s Bride with one Head, namely Jesus or Heavenly Bridegroom.
Thus, sitting opposite the tomb means sitting at Jesus’ feetas follows.
- Obeying the shepherding Word.
- Persevering in doing three main services to God in the shepherding system.
- Being faithful and fervent in spirit doing our ministry in the building of Christ’s body according to our ministry.
Luke 10:42
10:42 "But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her."
The result is as follows.
- Getting the best part.
Meaning the hand of Good Shepherd is able to make all things good and beautiful in His time.
- Getting the eternal part which will not be taken away.
Meaning the hand of Good Shepherd is able to give us guarantee for beautiful future life assurance up to the eternal one.
Judas Iscariot has chosen the bad part. He hears the chief priests, so his life gets worst day by day until perishes forever.
- Falling at Jesus’ feet to worship Him.
John 11:31-34
11:31 Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and comforting her, when they saw that Mary rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, "She is going to the tomb to weepthere."
11:32 Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died."
11:33 Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled.
11:34 And He said, "Where have you laid him?" They said to Him, "Lord, come and see."
Mary experiences the sprinkling of blood, meaning the suffering in flesh or thick clouds because Lazarus has been dead for four days. Now it means as follows.
- The rottenness in sins.
- The rottenness in marriage and children.
- The rottenness in economy and study.
- The rottenness in ministry.
- The impossible thing.
There are two kinds of attitude that may happen when one faces the thick clouds as follows.
- Weeping, meaning as follows.
- Blaming other people and God.
- Being disappointed or hopeless.
- Seeking way by oneself which is not in line with the Word of God.
This kind of attitude will not help, even make one perish.
- Falling at Jesus’ feet to worship Him, meaning as follows.
- Confessing that we are only clay which is powerless and we can do nothing.
- Confessing that we are unworthy and full of weakness and sin.
In such condition, we will never insist anything but fully surrender, trust, and entrust our life to God. It means we are lifting up our hand of faith to God. As a result, He will stretch His hand of grace to us.
Faith which is added by the grace will result in miracle.
The spiritual miracle happens through the life renewal from carnal man to spiritual one as Jesus is.
John 11:39-40
11:39 Jesus said, "Take away the stone." Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, "Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days."
11:40 Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?"
The rottenness is caused by the hard heart, unbelief, and disobedience. Such heart must be changed to become obedient one that believes in God.
Proverbs 14:30
14:30. A sound heart is life to the body, But envy is rottennessto the bones.
Hard heart means jealousy, revenge, or envy.
If the spiritual miracle happens, the physical one will also happen. Lazarus, who has been dead for four days, can be made alive. There is nothing impossible.
Our life steps are in miracles. It continues until we are changed to become as glorious as Jesus is when He comes a second time. We can welcome Him to be with Him forever. It is the best and the most beautiful thing which is eternal.
God blesses you.
