Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 3:16-183:16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
3:17 Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'--and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked--
3:18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, thatthe shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.
The church of the Laodiceans (the church at the last days) is lukewarm. It means they are rich physically but spiritually they are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked (they have nothing). They prioritize the physical things but do not want to be filled with the true teaching Word. The result is they will be vomited by God or separated from God.
For that reason, God rebukes, exhorts, and chastens the church of the Laodiceans to buy the treasure of heaven.
There are three kinds of the treasure of heavenas follows:
- The gold refined in the fire.
- The white garment to clothe the nakedness.
- The eye salve to anoint the eyes.
We are learning the first one.
1 Peter 1:6-71:6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,
1:7 that the genuineness of your faith, beingmuch more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,The gold refined in the fire refers to the pure, permanent, and perfect faithto greet the second coming of Jesus on glorious clouds.
Luke 18:818:8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"Where do we get the pure, permanent, and perfect faith?
James 2:21-222:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?
2:22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? The faith works with its works will make the perfect faith.
The process of the faith of Abraham until it becomes the perfect one is as follows:
- Having the right faith.
Hebrews 11:8
11:8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.
The right faith is not because of seeing but listening the Word or God's calling. The proof is as follows:
- Being set free from sin until the peak of sin. So we can live in righteousness.
Genesis 12:1
12:1 Now the Lordhad said to Abram: "Get out of your country, from your family and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you.
- Experiencing the blessing of God up to children and we become blessing for others.
Genesis 12:2
12:2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.
The blessing of Abraham reaches the Gentiles. God commands the blessing for the righteous, and we are chased by it.
- Returning the tithe and special offering that belong to God.
Genesis 14:19-20
14:19 And he blessed him and said:"Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth;
14:20 And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand."
- The test of faith.
Romans 4:18-21
4:18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be."
4:19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb.
4:20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,
4:21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
Abraham faces something that is impossible. He is a hundred years old and the deadness of Sarah's womb. It is impossible for having a child that is the promises of God. Abraham does not doubt to the promises of God even though it is impossible. Abraham has firm faith and tested. He believes God is able to fulfill His promises and erase the impossibilities. It is proven thus Isaac is born and the descendant of Abraham is like the stars in the sky. It is the live that is employed by God to glorify His name.
- The works of faith.
James 2:21-22
2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?
2:22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?
The faith and the works will result in the pure, permanent, and perfect faith. It is like the golden pot that has manna.
Genesis 22:2, 9-14
22:2 Then He said, "Take now your son, your only sonIsaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."
22:9 Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood.
22:10 And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.
22:11 But the Angel of the Lordcalled to him from heaven and said, "Abraham, Abraham!" So he said, "Here I am."
22:12 And He said, "Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me."
22:13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him wasa ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.
22:14 And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said tothis day, "In the Mount of the Lordit shall be provided."
The works of faith refers to doing God's commands and sacrificing everything for the building of the body of Christ. Everything must be sacrificed for the building of the perfect body of Christ, except the true teaching Word (God's persona).
We will willingly to sacrifice everything for God if we love Him more than anything.
Everything that we sacrifice for God - that is encouraged by the true teaching Word - will never be in vain, but we will meet Jehovah Jireh (God provides everything). The result is as follows:
- The spiritual miracle that is the life renewal. It is the fear of God.
- The physical miracle happens. God is able to care for us miraculously. The impossible becomes possible. All problems are solved by God even the impossible ones.
- God provides us to become the Bride of heaven.
Revelation 19:6-7
19:6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!
19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."
God is able to sanctify and change us little by little until perfect to become the bride of heaven who is ready to greet His second coming on glorious clouds.
God blesses us.
