Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 6:12-17
6:12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.
6:13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
6:14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
6:15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,
6:16 and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
6:17 "For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"
The opening of the sixth seal is the same as the sixth judgment of Holy Spirit God, namely the great physical earthquake, especially the spiritual one.
The great spiritual earthquake refers to the influence of the world with all of its activities, sorrows, amenities, uncleanness, evil, hatred, and so on that cause these things:
- Darkness (verse 12-13).
- Shakings (vrese 14).
- Fear (verse 15-17).
What do we have to do, so we do not enter the future darkness, shaking, and fear?
1 Peter 4:7
4:7. But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
We must be serious. It means that we do not follow the carnal mind, fleshly feelings, the lust of the flesh,
et cetera, but the will of God or the true teaching word.
The facts found in being serious are as follows:
- We obey the word or the true teaching one until the flesh does not sound anymore whatever risk may come.
1 Peter 1:14
1:14. as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance;
1 Peter 1:22
1:22. Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,
If we become obedient, we will be able to live in righteousness and love one another, even we can love our enemy. It is the same as doing good works only, namely right and good works. We can return the tithe and special offerings that belong to God. We can give for the work of God and others in need until we return good for evil. It will become fine line, clean, and bright.
Revelation 19:8
19:8. And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
The robe of the bride is the same as the one of the sun, moon, and star. There is no darkness at all.
- Being patient in sufferinig. It means that we do not grumble, get disappointed and desperate as well as leave God whatever shaking may come. We keep being faithful to fulfill our ministry.
2 Timothy 4:5
4:5. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
We keep ministering to God faithfully and fervently according to the ministry that God gives to us until the finish line.
1 Corinthians 9:25
9:25. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.
We fight for an imperishable crown, namely the one of bride.
The crown refers to the victory. It means not being shaken at all.
- Becoming silent and calm in fear/worry/drowning because of the winds and waves or the storm in the middle of the ocean of the world.
1 Peter 4:7
4:7. But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
Being silent means that we correct ourselves through the sharpness of the sword of the word. Finding sin, we must confess to others (horizontal) and God (vertical). Do not sin anymore after being forgiven!
Finding no sin, we must keep silent. Do not defend ourselves and blame others. It is also the same as repenting.
Jacob was silent in the tent, while Esau was a hunter.
Being calm means being shepherded well and correctly.
We have to pay attention to perseverance in committing three kinds of main service in the sheepfold. We do not hope others, but Jesus as the High Priest and Great Shepherd who sits at the right hand of the Father God. We just trust and cry to God. It we hope others, maybe it is successful, but we will be failed forever. If we hope God maybe it seems failed but it will succeed in due time.
If we trust and cry to God, He will stretch out His merciful hands to us.
- To make the winds and waves calm in the middle of the ocean of the world.
Mark 4:39
4:39. Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
It means that God finishes all of impossilbe problems and gives us peace, and all things become easy and light. We have successful and beautiful future.
- To lift us up from drowning.
Matthew 14:29-32
14:29. So He said, "Come." And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.
14:30. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!"
14:31. And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"
14:32. And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.
It means as follows:
- We are lifted up from falling. We are restored, so we can live in righteousness and holiness.
Peter is lifted up from drowing. King David is lifted up from falling.
Failure is changed into success and beauty.
- We are used by God in the revival of the building of the perfect body of Christ according to the ministry that God gives to us.
- Being lifted up means that we are changed from fleshly men to spiritual ones like Jesus.
It starts from not lying anymore.
If we still lie, God will do nothing and Satan will destroy us.
If we do not lie anymore, the hands of God will keep working to change us up to perfection like Him. We do not stumble in words anymore. We just cry out: "Alleluia" to great Jesus when He comes a second time on the glorious clouds. We are with Him forever.
God blesses us.
