Psalm 62:1-262:1 Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.
62:2 He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.David has high position, riches, and luxury physically but He confesses that there is silence when he is near God. Meaning all physical things cannot guarantee the silence in our life. There is silence for sure when we are near God although we are in the midst of the great waves of temptations and problems.
Isaiah 59:1-259:1. Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear.
59:2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. Sin separates human from God. It makes human, who is in the world, far away from God, who is in heaven. Human in the world becomes weary and heavy laden because of sin, so there is no relief, peace, nor joy. The wage of sin is death. If human keeps on sinning in the world, he will be cast away into the hell forever.
God has given His only Son so that the sinful human does not perish but returns to be near Him.
John 3:163:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Human gets an opportunity in the world to return to God and be near Him.
Matthew 11:28-3011:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
11:29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
11:30 "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." The process of returning to God or being near Him is as follows.
- Being gentle and lowly in heart.
Being lowly in heart means we can confess our sin to God and other people.
Being gentle means we can forgive.
Both of them mean finishing sin until our heart is peaceful. There must be something wrong or unfinished when there is no peace in heart.
1 John 3:21
3:21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God.
If our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God.
As a result, all things become easy and light. The sin is the heaviest burden. If it can be finished, all other matters can be solved for sure and our life becomes easy and light.
- Coming to God.
Matthew 11:28
11:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
It is through perseverance in doing service and ministry in shepherding system or being shepherded.
The shepherded one is as a branch dwelling in the True Vine. He gets sanctification intensively. It begins from the heart that is sanctified from evil and unclean lusts.
Mark 7:21-23
7:21 "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, (1)adulteries, (2)fornications, (3)murders,
7:22 "(4)thefts, (5)covetousness, (6)wickedness, (7)deceit, (8)lewdness, (9)an evil eye, (10)blasphemy, (11)pride, (12)foolishness.
7:23 "All these evil things come from within and defile a man."
If our heart is sanctified from the twelve sins, it can be filled with the twelve loaves of bread.
Mark 7 in Tabernacle refers to the Table of Showbread. The table refers to the heart of human and the bread refers to the Word. Thus, the Table of Showbread refers to the fellowship with the Word by which God dwells in our heart and we are near Him.
If our heart is sanctified, our hand or deeds, mouth, and whole life will also be sanctified.
Psalm 24:3-4
24:3. Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place?
24:4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.
As a result, we can worship God and be near Him.
Psalm 62:1-262:1 Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.
62:2 He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. The signs of being near God are as follows.
- Silence. We can control ourselves until we can pray and worship God.
We only believe and hope fully in God. As a result, there is salvation, no perdition.
For example, the disciples face great waves until the boat almost sinks. They wake Jesus up, meaning believing and hoping only in God. As a result, they can be saved.
Daniel is forced to worship the image, but he keeps on being still, believing and fully entrusting himself to God. As a result, he is saved although he must be in the den of lion.
- We are not greatly moved.
One will choose others, not Jesus, when he is far away from God. On the contrary, one will love God more than anything if he is near Him.
The result is as follows.
- “He only is my rock and my salvation”, meaning we are protected and preserved by God miraculously.
For example, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego choose to worship God although they must enter the fiery furnace which is heated seven times more. As a result, there is protection and preservation of God to them.
- Being exalted by God.
Physically, there is beautiful future life and God is with us.
Spiritually, our life is sanctified and renewed until Jesus comes a second time and we enter the marriage supper of the Lamb, where we are not separated again from God forever.
God blesses you.
