Speaker : Rev. Mikha Sanda TodingMatthew 12:15b-2112:15b And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all.
12:16 Yet He warned them not to make Him known,
12:17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
12:18 “Behold! My Servant whom I have chosen, My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased! I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He will declare justice to the Gentiles.
12:19 He will not quarrel nor cry out, nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.
12:20 A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench, till He sends forth justice to victory;
12:21 And in His name Gentiles will trust.”Matthew 12 in Tabernacle refers to the Door of Tabernacle or infilling of Holy Spirit.
Jesus is the Servant of God or the Servant that is anointed by Holy Spirit (verse 18).
The proof is as follows:
- God proclaims and shows forth justice to the nation means testifying about the law of righteousness and holiness to the nation in the world.
Isaiah 42:1
42:1 “Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, my Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.
It is testimony about the gospel of salvation or the gospel Word and the gospel of glory or the teaching Word.
Luke 4:43-44
4:43 but He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent.”
4:44 And He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
Right now, as the children of God He sends and anoints, we must testify.
Acts 1:8
1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
We must testify about the gospel of salvation and glory.
The proof that we receive testimony of the gospel of salvation is we live in righteousness, testify through saying righteous words or have right deed.
Ephesians 4:25
4:25 Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another.
The proof that we receive the gospel of glory is our purity of saying and deed.
Ephesians 4:29,28
4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
4:28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.
- Not to quarrel but be obedient.
Matthew 12:19
12:19 He will not quarrel nor cry out, nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.
Hebrews 5:8
5:8 though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.
Especially when we are suffering. We are not quarreling but obedient.
Galatians 5:16-17
5:16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
5:17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
We do not follow the flesh lust but God’s will.
- Not crying out[Matthew 12:19].
Matthew 14:26
14:26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.
The disciples are not anointed so they cry out for fear. Jesus in anointed so He does not cry out. It means the one does not fear something in this world, the tempest, the false teaching, but only fear God.
Luke 21:25
21:25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;
We need to be anointed like Jesus so we will not be afraid to face the temptation that will happen at the last days but fear God.
Isaiah 11:1-3
11:1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
11:2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
11:3 His delight is in the fear of the Lord, and He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
The fear of God is to fear and hate sinning.
Proverbs 8:13
8:13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate.
The fear of God means obedience, sincerity, and faithfulness in ministry.
Joshua 24:14
24:14 “Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord!
It means obedience, sincerity, and faithfulness to one true teaching Word and refusing another teaching.
1 John 2:26-27
2:26 These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you.
2:27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
We hold fast to one true teaching Word and refuse another teaching.
1 Timothy 4:1
4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
To fear God means to worship Him only, not else.
Revelation 14:7
14:7 saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”
For example are as follow: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
Daniel 3:17-18
3:17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.
3:18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”
- Living in hope and never being disappointed or desperate.
Matthew 12:21
12:21 And in His name Gentiles will trust.”
The anointing of Holy Spirit makes us hope to God only, not else.
Romans 5:5
5:5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Matthew 12:20
12:20 A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench, till He sends forth justice to victory;
If the one puts hope on something else, the condition will be like a bruised reed and smoking flax. If we put hope to God, we will not be like that.
Isaiah 42:4
42:4 He will not fail nor be discouraged, till He has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands shall wait for His law.”
We fully hope to God means we stretch out our hand to God. And then God will stretch out His hand and we will live in His hand.
The result is His hand is able to do the miracle and open the way for us.
Exodus 14:15-1614:15 And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
14:16 But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
God opens the door that cannot be closed by anyone.
Revelation 3:7-83:7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,‘
These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”:
3:8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
God closes the door to enemy for they cannot touch and make us fall.
Isaiah 43:1743:17 Who brings forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power. (They shall lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick):We are protected and cared by God.
1 Peter 5:65:6
Thereforehumbleyourselves under themightyhand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
God’s hand will exalt us in due time until to His throne.
God blesses us.
