Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 21:1 21:1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.Seeing the new heaven and earth means experiencing the renewal to the attention for focusing on the things of God or the spiritual eternal ones as follows:
- God's Word or the true teaching Word.
- God's mercy.
- The eternal heavenly kingdom.
2 Peter 1:11 1:11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We must try hard to be able to enter the heavenly kingdom. How?
Mark 10:14-1610:14 But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.
10:15 "Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it."
10:16 And He took them up in His arms, put His hands on them, and blessed them. The spiritual baby refers to one who has the good conscience that is sincere until being able to worship God with a broken heart. We confess that we are not worthy, unable, and powerless.
Genesis 6:5-66:5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6:6 And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. In fact, the heart of man tends to be evil and unclean until doing the deeds that make God grieved, the sins concerning eating-drinking, and marrying-being given in marriage. Finally, he is destroyed by God.
Where can we get the good conscience? We get it through the
life renewal.
Being born only once physically by the mother, the conscience tends to be evil and unclean until perishing. Therefore, we must experience the life renewal from God.
There are two kinds of life renewal as follows:
- Through the true water baptism.
1 Peter 3:20-21
3:20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
3:21 There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism(not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good consciencetoward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
One who has believed in Jesus, repented, or died to sin must be buried in the water together with Him and raised from the burial of water to get the new life, namely having the renewal from the conscience that tends to be evil to the good one that is sincere like a baby.
Genesis 6:9
6:9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.
The fact found in it is living in righteousness, being honest, and walking with God or being faithful and fervent in spirit in the service and ministry to God or worshiping Him with a broken heart.
Mark 10:16
10:16 And He took them up in His arms, put His hands on them, and blessed them.
The good conscience is the strong foundation to receive the blessings of God and become blessings for others. It is also the strong foundation to be lifted up or glorified by God from now on in the world. We glorify God wherever we are until we are glorified with Him forever.
- Through the Word of God that is living and eternal.
1 Peter 1:23
1:23having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of Godwhich lives and abides forever,
Hebrews 4:12
4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
It is the same as the eternal true teaching Word which God has entrusted to a pastor. It is repeated, namely the shepherding Word that becomes the spiritual food for the congregation until experiencing the spiritual growth to sanctify and change us. It begins from the conscience.
Why do we have to experience the renewal of the conscience?
Peter was great and able to walk on the wave of the sea, but he had no good conscience until denying Jesus three times.
Luke 22:60-62
22:60 But Peter said, "Man, I do not know what you are saying!" Immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.
22:61 And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, "Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times."
22:62 So Peter went out and wept bitterly.
Nevertheless, there is still the crowing of the rooster or the repeated Word in the shepherding. How hard the Word that points at our sin is, it points at our real condition. It is also the merciful sight of God to help us.
Receiving the Word is the same as looking at God, so we can worship Him with a broken heart and confess all sins as well as our real condition. We only cry, believe, hope the mercy of God.
The results are as follows:
- Not one of the bones is broken.
Psalm 34:18-20
34:18 The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.
34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all.
34:20 He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken.
It means that we get the power of resurrection of the Lord for giving us the victory and solving all impossible problems.
The merciful hands of God are able to set us free from weariness and heavy burdens, so we can be peaceful. All things become easy and light.
- A hair does not fall.
Matthew 10:30
10:30 "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
There is power of God's protection and preservation.
- There is no tear at all.
Revelation 21:4
21:4 "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
1 Peter 1:24
1:24 because "All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away,
There is power of renewal from the fleshly men who easily get withered, disappointed, and hopeless to ones who are strong and of good courage.
It continues until we are changed to be as perfect as Jesus is.
God blesses you.
