Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation chapter 2 and 3 refer to the seven sprinklings of blood in front of the Ark of the Covenant or the seven letters to seven congregations of Gentiles. It is the last purification for seven congregations of Gentiles that would be done by Jesus until the church becomes as perfect and flawless as He is.
We are learning the first congregation in Ephesus.
Revelation 2:4-52:4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.
2:5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.
God honors what the congregation in Ephesus has done, but in the last purification He has a thing against them. It hurts the flesh, but aims at the last purification so the church will be perfected like Jesus. God has a thing against them because they left the first love, the love of God through the sacrifice of Christ on the cross.
The results are as follow:
- Falling into deep pit as the sheep falls into pit or a man whose right hand is withered.
- The lampstand will be removed means living in darkness, spiritual blindness, and flaw.
The meanings of spiritual blindness are as follow:
- One forgets the forgiveness.
2 Peter 1:9
1:9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
One forgets that his sin has been forgiven. It means falling and rising in sin, living in it, purposely sinning, until there is no more forgiveness.
- One is unable to see and worship God.
Revelation 12:17
12:17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
It means one becomes the target of Antichrist and is sealed with 666.
Mark 10:46-47, 5210:46 Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.
10:47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
10:52 Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.
The example is Bartimaeus who is blind but receives the mercy of God to see and worship Him.
John 4:23-244:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”The right worship must be encouraged by the true teaching Word in anointing of Holy Spirit. Bartimaeus who is blind must hear about Jesus then he will be able to see and worship God.
The steps of the right worship are as follows:
- Being humble.
Mark 10:47
10:47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
The meaning is ability to confess the sin to God and fellows by the encouragement of teaching Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword. We will be forgiven by the blood of Jesus. Thus, we experience the first love that makes us closer to God. The sin makes us separated from God and closer to Satan.
- Being strong and of good courage.
Mark 10:48-50
10:48 Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
10:49 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.”
10:50 And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus.
The true teaching Word gives extra strength to fragile earthen vessel so we become strong and of good courage.
The practices are as follows:
- One is not disappointed or in despair when God has not helped yet, even when the problem is getting hard and impossible but keeps on persevering in ministry and crying out to Him.
- One leaves the old garment. It means leaving the sin or the old life whatever the risk may come, being brave to sacrifice the physical things to get the spiritual ones.
- Longing to see or worship God.
Mark 10:51-52
10:51 So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.”
10:52 Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.
The true teaching Word results the faith (believing, entrusting ourselves, and hoping fully to God) and the longing to see Him.
We come to God with the faith and longing to see Him, meaning we stretch out our hands to God and He will stretch out His mercy hands to do miracle.
Numbers 6:25
6:25 The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
We will receive the grace of God. The results are as follow:
- God’s hands are able to help and finish our problems even the impossible ones in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16
4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
- God’s hands are able to make everything beautiful in its time.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
- God’s hands are able to exalt us in due time.
1 Peter 5:5-6
5:5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
God’s hands is able to employ us, change our life from carnal men to spiritual ones like Jesus, starting from obedience.
Until Jesus comes a second time, we are changed to become as glorious as He is. The most beautiful thing is we see God face to face; we are together with Him forever.
God blesses us.
