Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 16:816:8 Then the fourth angelpoured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire.
The pouring of the fourth bowl of God's wrath on the sun scorches men with fire up to the perdition.
Actually, the sun is the image of the great, just, and perfect love of God. Rejecting it, men will get the fourth bowl of the wrath of God up to perdition in the hell forever.
There are five things which are judged by the scorching fire as follows:
- Sins up to the peak like Sodom and Gomorrah.
- The servants of God who work with strange fire like Nadab and Abihu.
- God's servants who have the intense craving. They always remember Egypt, and insult the manna.
- God's servants who leave the service and ministry to Him habitually.
- Ones who like oppressing or persecuting others.
Ad.1Genesis 19:13,24-25
19:13 "For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the LORD, and the LORD has sent us to destroy it."
19:24 Then the LORD rained brimstone and fireon Sodom and Gomorrah, from the LORD out of the heavens.
19:25. So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground.
'
the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the LORD' means that Sodom and Gomorrah rejected the love as the sun, so their sins up to the peak came up before God. Consequently God rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, so it became the Dead Sea. There is no life anymore but perdition forever.
It is different with Abraham and Sarah.
Genesis 18:1-5,918:1. Then the LORD appeared to himby the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tentdoor in the heat of the day.
18:2. So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three menwere standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground,
18:3. and said, "My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant.
18:4. "Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree.
18:5. "And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant." They said, "Do as you have said."
18:9. Then they said to him, "Where is Sarahyour wife?" So he said, "Here, in the tent."
Abraham and Sarah were in the tent in the heat of the day.
It means that the marriage and children will surely face the heat of the day. It refers to the great physical and spiritual temptations, namely economy, future, and sins up to the peak.
The attitude of Abraham in the heat of the day was sitting in the tent door, and Sarah was in the tent.
It means as follows:
- Being in the sheepfold, namely the perseverance in committing the three kinds of main service to God. In the sheepfold, we have the fellowship with the Trinity of God.
- Waiting for the visiting of the Trinity of God and we have a quick response upon His visiting. The three angels refer to the Trinity of God.
Genesis 19:1-319:1. Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sittingin the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground.
19:2. And he said, "Here now, my lords, please turn in to your servant's house and spend the night, and wash your feet; then you may rise early and go on your way." And they said, "No, but we will spend the night in the open square."
19:3. But he insisted strongly; so they turned in to him and entered his house. Then he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.
2 Peter 2:6-82:6. and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly;
2:7. and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked
2:8. (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearingtheir lawless deeds) --
Lot suffered and got distress because of the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah, so he had a quick response to God's visiting like Abraham.
Lot could endure in facing the people of Sodom because he was shepherded--'
seeing and hearing the Word'--, so he was not influenced by the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah. He did not follow to sin, and he was not in stress.
Luke 2:202:20. Then the shepherdsreturned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heardand seen, as it was told them.
That is why God saved Lot and his family in Zoar.
Genesis 19:20,22-2319:20. "See now, this city is near enough to flee to, and it is a little one; please let me escape there (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live."
19:22. "Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there." Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
19:23. The sun had risen upon the earth when Lot entered Zoar.
The sun had risen in Zoar, the little city.
The little city refers to the thing that is often diminished and considered foolishness by men including the servant of God, namely
the cross and the shepherding.
Luke 12: 3212:32. "Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
We can feel the light of the love of God that comes from Christ's sacrifice or the cross in the shepherding, namely the perseverance in committing the three kinds of main service to God.
1 John 1:7,91:7. But if we walk in the lightas He is in the light, we have fellowshipwith one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
1:9. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
What is the light of the sun used for? Helping us to do the things as follows:
- Confessing and forgiving one another, so the blood of Jesus forgives and purifies our sin, and we can live in righteousness and holiness.
- Receiving God's love and mercy, so we enter the fellowship in the light, namely the one of the perfect body of Christ who is ready to greet Jesus when He comes a second time. We are set free from the scorching fire.
Genesis 19:5,10-1119:5. And they called to Lot and said to him, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally."
19:10. But the men reached out their hands and pulled Lot into the house with them, and shut the door.
19:11. And they struck the men who were at the doorway of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they became weary trying to find the door.
'
we may know them carnally' means the wicked and unclean deeds between men--those people were men, and the angels were men.
'
shut the door' means that Sodom and Gomorrah shut the door. But the love of God opens the door.
On the contrary, the lust of the flesh of Sodom and Gomorrah that triggers the sins up to the peak blinds the heart from God's love. It is the same as rejecting God's love, so one shuts the door of mercy. He must experience the punishment of the scorching fire.
Luke 17:28-3017:28. "Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
17:29. "but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.
17:30. "Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
The fulfillment of Sodom and Gomorrah will happen on the last days where the sins increase up to the peak, namely the sins of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage like in Sodom and Gomorrah. It will blind the heart from God's love.
It means that one does not understand the love of God and the true teaching Word, so God's mercy is closed. Consequently, he must experience the scorching fire, the doomsday, and perdition in the hell forever.
Genesis 19:12-1319:12. Then the men said to Lot, "Have you anyone else here? Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city -- take them out of this place!
19:13. "For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the LORD, and the LORD has sent us to destroy it."
Verse 12 is the repeated Word.
We can light our family, so they are saved and shepherded earnestly. It is the last chance before the world is destroyed because the sins are culminating and coming up before God. We become God's witness.
All of us must pay attention to the things as follows:
- Emitting the light of God's love or the one of testimony in our life.
- Do not become a pillar of salt like Lot's wife!
Genesis 19:26
19:26. But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
Luke 17:32
17:32. "Remember Lot's wife.
The salt that loses its flavor means being without the anointing of Holy Spirit.
Matthew 5:13
5:13. "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
One who is without Holy Spirit just destroys. He is useless even decay, so he is trampled by the Antichrist. He becomes the same as the Antichrist who will be destroyed forever.
Mark 9:509:50. "Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peacewith one another."
We must always have peace, so we do not become the salt that loses its flavor but keep becoming the salty salt, namely we keep being in the anointing of Holy Spirit.
Having peace means confessing and forgiving one another, so the blood of Jesus washes our sins, and we experience peace.
There are many people whose heart does not experience peace because they do not believe in the remission. We must believe!
The peaceful heart is the place of Holy Spirit. We are full of the anointing of Holy Spirit.
The usefulnesses of Holy Spirit are as follows:
- Preventing decay.
Romans 8:13
8:13. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
Holy Spirit puts to death the virus, bacteria, and worm of sin, so we can live in righteousness and holiness.
- Holy Spirit is the spirit of comforter.
It means that He gives the extra power when we face the sadness, impossibility, destruction, et cetera, so we do not get disappointed and desperate as well as leave God. We can testify and give the good taste. Our life becomes easy and light
- Holy Spirit is the spirit of helper.
It means that He helps us to finish all of impossible problems.
- Holy Spirit burns the characteristics of the dog and swine of the Gentiles, so we become God's sheep.
Romans 15:16
15:16. that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
The dog which licks vomit refers to the idle words.
A sow, having washed, returns to her wallowing in the mire refers to the unclean deed.
God's sheep are obedient, so they result in true, holy, and good deeds.
It continues until Jesus comes a second time that we are changed to become as perfect as He is. We are worthy to greet Jesus when He comes a second time on the glorious clouds. We do not stumble in words. We just say: "Alleluia". We enter the last sheepfold in the New Jerusalem forever.
God blesses us.
