Matthew25:1,1325:1 "Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.25:13 "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
Church of God (the virgins) must be watchful always, meaning being ready to welcome Jesus' second coming in glory as King of kings, Heavenly Bridegroom.
We must keep our
BURNING LAMP.
Two requirements we need to make our lamp keep on burning are below:- [Matthew 25:5-7] Receiving Bride Tidings = the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ.
- Having oil for supply in vessel.
Matthew25:2-4
25:2 Now five of them were wise, and five werefoolish.
25:3 Those who werefoolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,
25:4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
ad. 2. Having oil for supply.Having oil for supply = overflowing in Holy Spirit, abounding in Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit is the living water which satisfies human life until satisfaction in eternal life/ eternal satisfaction.
Without Holy Spirit, the human flesh, especially the Gentiles will always be thirsty, they will never be satisfied, so that tend to look for satisfactions in the world (watch movies, go to the discotheque, etc.) and fall into sin up to the peak, i.e. sins concerning eating-drinking and sexuality.
The example is the Samaritan woman (who represents the Gentiles).
John4:154:15 The woman said to Him, "Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw."
This Samaritan woman looked for satisfaction in the world until fall into sexuality sin, but she was still thirsty, not satisfied, and led to perdition.
John4:7,9,21-224:7 A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give Me a drink."4:9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.4:21 Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.4:22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.Giving drink to Jesus = confessing sins.Starting from confessing the sin of bitterness [John 4:9], the sin of evil desire including idolatry [John 4:21-22] and the worship of Mammon (the practices are stingy and greedy), and the sin of impurity.
John4:10,144:10 Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water."4:14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."If we give Jesus a drink, Jesus will give us adrink of theliving waterabundantly such that it becomes afountain of water in our lives.
There are twodirections of the living water:- Flowing.
John7:37-39
7:37 On the last day, that great dayof the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
7:38He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
7:39But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
Flowing is in horizontal direction, flow to the others who need it.
The practice is through giving testimony, so that many people can be won.
John4:39
4:39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified,"He told me all that I everdid."
- Springing up.
John4:14
4:14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing upinto everlasting life."
The practices are:
- Holy Spirit gives the gifts of the Holy Spirit, so that we can serve God according to the ministry given by God.
2 Timothy1:6
1:6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of Godwhich is in you through the laying on of my hands.
The gifts of the Holy Spirit and the ministry are from God, and given through the opening secret of the Word and the laying hands of a pastor.
Our attitudes are being faithful and burning in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the ministry, through the services.
Being faithful and burning = a flame of fire.
God's eyes = a flame of fire.
A faithful and burning God's servant = God's eyes who are protected and cared directly by God.
- Worshiping God.
John4:23
4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
Romans8:26-28
8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
8:27Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is,because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will ofGod.
8:28And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to Hispurpose.
The Holy Spirit will help us to worship God as we stretch out our hands to God, and God will stretch out His hands to us to make all the things good, wipe away every tear, until He makes us perfect and ready to welcome God's second coming.
God blesses you.
