Matthew 27 in the Tabernacle teaching refers to seven sprinklings of blood on the Ark of Covenant.
Exodus 25:17-2025:17 "You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold; two and a half cubits shall be its length and a cubit and a half its width.
25:18 "And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work you shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat.
25:19 "Make one cherub at one end, and the other cherub at the other end; you shall make the cherubim at the two ends of it of one piece with the mercy seat.
25:20 "And the cherubim shall stretch out their wings above, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and they shall face one another; the faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat. The mercy seat consists of these three things.
- The first cherub, referring to Father God.
- The second cherub, referring to Holy Spirit God.
- The mercy seat upon which there are seven sprinklings of blood, referring to the Son of God or Jesus.
The cherubim shall face one another and the faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat upon which there are seven sprinklings of blood, meaning father God and Holy Spirit God become the witnesses that Jesus has actually suffered and died on the cross.
Genesis 3:23-243:23 therefore the LORD God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.
3:24 So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life. The Gate of paradise has been guarded bycherubim with flaming sword, referring to the sowrd of God’s judgment since Adam and Eve were sinful and driven out of paradise. It means that whoever passes through the gate of paradise will be pierced by the sword of judgment.
Jesus is obedient to the point of death. He is pierced with the sword of God’s judgment in order to open the way to paradise, to open the gate. It means He saves and perfects us that we can return to paradise.
Likewise we, sinful people, have to
be pierced with the sword of sanctification done by the Word of God, if we want to return to paradise or to get salvation and perfection.
Hebrews 4:12-134:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two–edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. The Word sharper than any two-edged sword is called the sword of God’s Word. It sanctifies us, beginning from our heart and mind, the source or storehouse of sins.
Mark 7:21-237:21 "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, (1) adulteries, (2) fornications, (3) murders,
7:22 "(4) thefts, (5) covetousness, (6) wickedness, (7) deceit, (8) lewdness, an (9) evil eye, (10) blasphemy,(11) pride,(12) foolishness.
7:23 "All these evil things come from within and defile a man." The heart and mind contain twelve uncleanness and wickedness lusts causing the priests or servants or sons of God to sin, to suffer, to have sorrow and dead-end, up to perdition in hell fire. In such condition, they cannot return to paradise.
Riches, intelligence, or high position in office cannot sanctify our heart and mind. Only the sword of God’s Word can.
If we receive the work of the sword sharper than any two-edged sword that sanctifies us from the twelve uncleanness and wickedness lusts, our heart will be filled with twelve loaves of bread, six in one row. The figure “6 6” refers to bible or the true teaching Word making us
obedient until our flesh does not sound anymore.
Jesus is the example.
Philippians 2:8-102:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, He is willing to get the sprinkling of blood until to be obedient to the point of death on the cross. Afterwards, He gets the name which is above every name or the powerful name.
If we are obedient until our flesh does not sound anymore, we will get the powerful name of Jesus. Jesus’ name is marked in our life, so we experience its power.
The beginning of obedience is in water baptism in which we are buried in water in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We get the name of Jesus in the water baptism.
The result is as follows.
- Salvation powerin the name of Jesus.
Acts 4:12
4:12 "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
Spiritual salvation equals to not experiencing the judgment of God, not perishing but getting eternal life.
We also get physical salvation because the name of Jesus is able to preserve us in the midst of difficulties in the world and it is able to protect us from disaster and God’s judgment.
- Victory powerover Satan, the trinity.
Philippians 2:10-11
2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
2:11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Victory power over Satan, the source of problems and temptations, indicates that all problems can be settled by the name of Jesus. Satan is also the source of failure, so we can have success if we have victory power over Satan.
In addition, Satan is is the source of sin, so we can defeat sin and live in righteousness and holiness if we have victory over Satan.
- Beauty power.
Hebrews 1:3-4
1:3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
1:4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Meaning as follows.
- We are employed by God to bring good tidings and Bride Tidings, so our life journey becomes beautiful.
Romans 10:15
10:15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!"
- The power of Jesus’ name gives us beautiful future life.
- The power of Jesus’ name changes our life from carnal man to spiritual one as Jesus is. The more we are changed, the more beautiful life we have until someday we can be as glorious as Jesus is. We have the most beautiful thing when we are lifted up on glorious clouds to welcome Jesus’ second coming and we return to paradise to enter New Jerusalem.
God blesses you.
