From the record of Prayer Service in MedanPeace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 22:1722:17. And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. The Spirit refers to Jesus as the heavenly Bridegroom who invites the thirsty life to come.
The thirsty life will be satisfied, refreshed, and bathed up to the perfection like Him. It means to be the heavenly bride.
The bride also says "Come!". So, the heavenly bride must invite the thirsty life. Many lives are thirsty these days.
There are 3 places where humans are thirsty as follows:
- Human is thirsty in the wilderness of the world.
Exodus 17:1-4
17:1. Then all the congregation of the children of Israel set out on their journey from the Wilderness of Sin, according to the commandment of the Lord , and camped in Rephidim; but there was no water for the people to drink.
17:2. Therefore the people contended with Moses, and said, "Give us water, that we may drink." So Moses said to them, "Why do you contend with me? Why do you tempt the Lord ?"
17:3. And the people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and said, "Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?"
17:4. So Moses cried out to the Lord , saying, "What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me!"
All things in this world such as wealth, intelligence, and position cannot satisfy human, especially when facing the heat of impossible temptation in all fields, which often makes people dry spiritually or not experience satisfaction.
The signs of being unsatisfied are as follows:
- Being grumpy, grumbling, or blaming others.
- Being emotional or hard hearted.
- Being disappointed and hopeless, even leaving God.
- Human is thirsty in the service and ministry to God.
Acts 6:1
6:1. Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution.
Two things that cause the service and ministry to God become dry are as follows:
- The physical matters.
Many servants of God are demanding physical matters, so they complain and fight even go to court, et cetera.
Acts 6:11-12
6:11. Then they secretly induced men to say, "We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God."
6:12. And they stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes; and they came upon him, seized him, and brought him to the council.
Complaining and fighting, men will incite and bring down one another, as well as make movements to hinder and undermine the edifying of the perfect body of Christ.
- The spiritual matters especially the difference in teaching.
Acts 11:1-4,14-18
11:1. Now the apostles and brethren who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.
11:2. And when Peter came up to Jerusalem, those of the circumcision contended with him,
11:3. saying, "You went in to uncircumcised men and ate with them!"
11:4. But Peter explained it to them in order from the beginning, saying:
11:14. who will tell you words by which you and all your household will be saved.'
11:15. And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning.
11:16. Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, 'John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'
11:17. If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?"
11:18. When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, "Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life."
When there is a conflict about the teaching, we must return to the Bible. We must be in the anointing of the Holy Spirit and in sincerity, so the Holy Spirit reveals the truth that cannot be refuted anymore and we become calm.
Do not want to beat others. When we are wrong but want to blame others, we are hindering and damaging the building of the body of Christ.
- Human is thirsty in marriage.
Why does marriage often experience dissatisfaction especially to Gentiles? We learn from the Samaritan woman as follows:
- Because of the bitterness, envy, hatred without reason, revenge, et cetera.
John 4:9
4:9. "Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans."
- Because of the unclean deeds. The Samaritan woman did the divorce-remarrying five times, up to the sins of marrying-being given in marriage.
- Because there is no living water or the Holy Spirit. This is offered by God.
These are places where humans do not experience satisfaction, namely the world, the service and ministry to God, and the marriage.
Therefore, we need the Holy Spirit or the living water from Heaven to give us satisfaction.
How do we receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit from Heaven? We must give Jesus a drink.
John 4:104:10. "Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.""John 19:28-3019:28. "After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst!"19:29. Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth.19:30. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit."On the cross, Jesus said, "I thirst". We must give Him the sour wine that refers to the sins up to the peak, including the curse and the punishment of sin. It is through confessing sins to God and others honestly and having courage to bear the risk. The Samaritan woman confessed that the man who was with her was not her husband. It means that she committed adultery and she would have had to be stoned.
As the result, Jesus drank the sour wine, and He said,
"It is finished!"It means as follows:
- Jesus has taken away all sins with the curse and the punishment.
- Jesus forgives the sins up to the peak. After being forgiven, do not sin anymore. Repeating the sin, the forgiveness will be cancelled.
- Jesus gives the living water or the Holy Spirit to us, so we are not thirsty anymore.
These are our needs in the wilderness of the world, the marriage, and the service and ministry to God. We need the flow of the Holy Spirit.
The results of having the Holy Spirit are as follows:
- The Holy Spirit flows in our lives, so we experience the satisfaction, always give thanks, and can testify to bring other souls to God in order to be saved and even perfected. We are used by God.
John 7:37-39
7:37. "On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
7:38. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
7:39. But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified."
- The Holy Spirit springs up.
John 4:13-14
4:13. "Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again,
4:14. but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.""
It means that the Holy Spirit helps us to worship God with the groanings which cannot be uttered, namely with a broken heart or speaking in tongues.
Romans 8:26-30
8:26. "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
8:27. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
8:28. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."
8:29. "For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
8:30. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified."
The Holy Spirit helps us to worship God with the groanings which cannot be uttered or with a broken heart. We confess that we have many weaknesses physically and spiritually, so God will also work.
The flow of the Holy Spirit can glorify us. It is the same as renewing us from the flesh man to the glorified one like Jesus, namely being honest, obedient, strong, and of good courage. We only say "Abba, Father." The renewal of life is the greatest spiritual miracle.
Then physical miracle also occurs. The Holy Spirit is able to preserve us who are helpless in the midst of difficulties in the world until the antichrist governs the earth for 3,5 years. The Holy Spirit is able to make everything good and turn the broken thing into the good one, the failure into beauty and success, the rotten / bad thing into the fragrant one, and impossible things into possible ones. All things are finished.
It continues until Jesus comes a second time. The last miracle is that we are renewed to be as perfect as Him. We are not wrong in our words. We only say "Hallelujah" to welcome His second coming in the glorious clouds. We are with Him forever.
God blesses us.
