Speaker: Deacon Youpri ArdiantoroPeace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Mark 1:16-201:16 And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
1:17 Then Jesus said to them,“Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”
1:18 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.
1:19 When He had gone a little farther from there, He saw James thesonof Zebedee, and John his brother, who alsowerein the boat mending their nets.
1:20 And immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after Him.Who are they that God calls?
Mark 2:172:17 When Jesus heardit,He said to them,“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to calltherighteous, but sinners, to repentance.”God calls the sinners.
Luke 5:8-105:8 When Simon Peter sawit,he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”
5:9 For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken;
5:10 and so alsowereJames and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon,“Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.”Why do they need God’s call?
For the wage of sin is death.
What for does God call our lives?
God calls to fix our lives.
The proof of receiving God’s call is life in righteousness.
Matthew 22:1422:14 “For many are called, but fewarechosen.”Many are called, but few are able to enter the marriage supper of the Lamb.
What for are we chosen?
- For ministering God or holding the ministry.
Deuteronomy 18:5
18:5 For theLordyour God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to minister in the name of the Lord, him and his sons forever.
- For being purified.
Malachi 3:3
3:3 He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to theLord an offering in righteousness.
The final aim of God’s call and choice is our entering the marriage supper of the Lamb of God or the New Jerusalem.
How can they be called and chosen until entering the New Jerusalem?
We learn from a donkey.
Judges 15:1615:16 Then Samson said: “With the jawbone of a donkey, heaps upon heaps, with the jawbone of a donkey I have slain a thousand men!”The donkey refers to the Gentiles.
The process of the donkey’s being employed to enter the New Jerusalem is as follows:
- Being redeemed with a lamb.
Exodus 34:20
34:20 But the firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb. And if you will not redeemhim, then you shall break his neck. All the firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. “And none shall appear before Me empty-handed.
We must experience the redemption of Jesus’ blood.
Ephesians 1:7
1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
Acts 10:43
10:43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”
How do we receive the forgiveness of sins?
- We must believe in Jesus as the only savior.
- We must repent, stop sinning, and return to God. If we are forgiven, do not sin anymore. Otherwise, it will be cancelled or one has never been redeemed by Jesus blood.
- Water and Holy Spirit baptism.
Ephesians 1:14
1:14 whois the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
Thus, we are the donkey that live, our neck will not be broken, so there is a hope to be employed by God.
- The donkey must be tied.
Mark 11:2
11:2 and He said to them,“Go into the village opposite you; and as soon as you have entered it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has sat. Loose it and bringit.
It means entering the shepherding, being tied to the true vine or the true teaching Word.
Genesis 49:11
49:11 Binding his donkey to the vine, and his donkey’s colt to the choice vine, he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes.
We will experience the purifying of clothes (behavior) and garment (ministry). We do not minister God carelessly but according to the right consecration.
The place of shepherding is the Holy Place or persevering in three main services as follows:
- The Golden Candlestick refers to persevering in General Service.
- The Table of Showbread refers to Bible Study Service with Holy Communion.
- The Golden Altar of Incense refers to Prayer Service.
Matthew 21:5
21:5 “Tell the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your King is coming to you, lowly, and sitting on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey.’”
The function of the foal of a donkey is to carry the burden. It is young. It refers to a power. The colt is strong to carry the burden. The life that is employed by God is the Gentiles who willingly carry the burden from God.
- Being faithful.
Mark 11:11a
11:11 And Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple.….
Do not leave the ministry or God’s trust for any reasons. We must be faithful until the end line. It means until we die or the time of Jesus’ second coming.
Revelation 17:14
17:14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and thosewho arewith Himarecalled, chosen, and faithful.”
- The donkey is never been ridden.
There are two riders of donkey as follows:
- Jesus rides the donkey to Jerusalem.
- Balaam rides the donkey to punishment.
The sign that one is used by Balaam is as follows:
- Looking for the physical wages.
2 Peter 2:15
2:15 They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam thesonof Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
- Saying not good things.
Numbers 22:6
22:6 Therefore please come at once, curse this people for me, for theyaretoo mighty for me. Perhaps I shall be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land, for I know that he whom you blessis blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.”
The result of being ridden by Balaam is being lost.
The sign of being employed by Jesus is as follows:
- Not looking for physical wages.
- Having meek word.
Matthew 21:5
21:5 “Tell the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your King is coming to you, lowly, and sitting on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey.’”
The word that is kind, peaceable, not repaying evil for evil.
Titus 3:2
3:2 to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.
Being gentle means being able to accept the hard Word.
Proverbs 31:26
31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongueisthe law of kindness.
The result of being employed by God is as follows:
- We are cared by God.
Mark 11:3
11:3 And if anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord has need of it,’ and immediately he will send it here.”
Mark 10:28-30
10:28 Then Peter began to say to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You.”
10:29 So Jesus answered and said,“Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wifeor children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s,
10:30 who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.
- Everything becomes light and easy.
Matthew 11:28-30
11:28 Come to Me, allyouwho labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
11:29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
11:30 For My yokeiseasy and My burden is light.”
We are able to be calm and restrain ourselves so we can worship God.
Matthew 21:10
21:10 And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, “Who is this?”
There will be movement, for the Gentiles are employed in the revival of the building of the perfect body of Christ.
God blesses us.
