(Priests and Priests To Be Upgrading I)
Peace and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:16-20 is about the commandment to preach the gospel. It is same as the spread of the light or shekinah glory, meaning we are employed in a great revival according to the Great Commission of God.
The upgrading of the priests and priests to be is to prepare us to be employed or sent in the great revival.
There are two kinds of the great revival according to the Great Commission as follows.
- The revival of Holy Spirit at the early rain.
Matthew 28:16-20
28:16. Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them.
28:17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.
28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
28:20 "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
It means the revival in the gospel Word or good tidings to bring the sinners to be saved through water baptism.
The water baptism is the commandment of God that has legal power in heaven and on earth.
The revival of Holy Spirit at the early rain results in the growth of quantity.
Exodus 1:1,5,7
1:1. Now these are the names of the children of Israel who came to Egypt; each man and his household came with Jacob:
1:5 All those who were descendants of Jacob were seventy persons (for Joseph was in Egypt already).
1:7 But the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly, multiplied and grew exceedingly mighty; and the land was filled with them.
The growth of quantity is described in the Old Testament as Jacob with his twelve sons. Then, they become seventy persons, multiply, and grow exceedingly mighty.
In the New Testament, it begins from Jesus, Himself. Then, He is with His twelve disciples and sends the seventy disciples until His followers are innumerable.
We should not be satisfied by the growth in quantity because many are called but few are chosen. The quantity of the house of Israel who goes out of Egypt is 603.550 people, but only two people can enter Canaan, namely Joshua and Caleb.
- The revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain.
Matthew 28:20
28:20 "teachingthem to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
It means the revival in the teaching Word or Bride Tidings to sanctify the saved people to become perfect as Jesus is or to bring them to enter into the building of the body of Christ and become God’s Bride.
Thus, the growth of the Church in quantity and quality needs the Good Tidings and the Bride Tidings.
The growth of the Church is also signified with the figure 12 and 70, or the figure of the sending out.
The proof that we experience the growth in quantity and quality is we are employed or sent by God to become priests and kings.
A priest is one as follows.
- Holy one.
- One who bears the ministry. The more we are sanctified, the firmer ministry we have.
- One who serves and ministers to God.
- One who is employed in the ministry of the building of spiritual house, namely the body of Christ.
1 Peter 2:5
2:5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
The building of the body of Christ begins from marriage, church, inter-church, until the body of Christ is perfect.
The priests and kings who are employed in the building of the body of Christ are called living stones, meaning they only live by the mercy of God. Thus, our ministry must be directed only to the Lord and we will not be deceived.
Luke 10:1-310:1. After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.
10:2 Then He said to them, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
10:3 "Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves. The reaping is the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain or the revival in the teaching Word.
The atmosphere of the building of the body of Christ is as lambs among wolves, referring to impossibility. We cannot rely on anything of the world but the pleading of the Great Shepherd.
The need of a sheep is only the shepherd.
The priests employed by God in the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain must be well shepherded as follows.
- Being shepherded to the True Vine, that is the true teaching Word.
- Keeping on being inside the sheepfold.
Leviticus 21:12
21:12 'nor shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD.
It means we are inside the Holy Place, in which there are three kinds of equipment. They refer to the perseverance in doing three main services as follows.
- Golden Candlestick or perseverance in doing General Service as if the sheep is drinking.
- Table of Showbread or perseverance in doing Bible Study Service with Holy Communion as if the sheep is eating.
- Golden Altar of Incense or perseverance in doing Prayer Service as if the sheep is breathing.
As a result, we can minister to God well.
It begins from a pastor first that must be inside the sheepfold, or else the sheep are scattered. All of us must be shepherded because we are as lambs among wolves. If the sheep are careless, only for a moment the wolves will bite them.
If we are shepherded well, we will become as a branch dwelling in the True Vine. The result is as follows.
- We experience the sanctification done by the Word that is spoken by Jesus.
John 15:1-3
15:1. "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
15:2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
15:3 "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
It is the Word of God which is revealed or the Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword that sanctifies us, beginning from our heart and mind.
Mark 7:21-23
7:21 "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, (1) adulteries, (2) fornications, (3) murders,
7:22 "(4) thefts, (5) covetousness, (6) wickedness, (7) deceit, (8) lewdness, (9) an evil eye, (10) blasphemy, (11) pride, (12) foolishness.
7:23 "All these evil things come from within and defile a man."
If our heart and mind are sanctified from the twelve evil and unclean lusts, they can be filled with twelve loaves which are arranged in two rows, six in a row, referring to the sixty six books in Bible or the revelation of the Word which is always new for us.
If the heart and mind of a pastor is sanctified, he will preach the revelation of the Word which is always new without being bored although it is repeated.
If the heart and mind of the congregation are sanctified, they can enjoy consuming the revelation of the Word without being bored although it is repeated.
As a result, the small weak branches will bear many sweet fruits soon or latter. Meaning we are always preserved wonderfully by God. The more we are sanctified, the more we live in “sweetness.” Our life is always successful in the Lord.
- There is anointing oil upon our head, meaning as follows.
- Holy Spirit anoints our mind, so we are not deceived by false teaching, gossips, and the sound of our flesh.
- Holy Spirit gives us the gifts, namely wonderful ability to do the ministry according to the priest’s office God has given us.
1 Timothy 4:14
4:14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.
We can get the gifts of Holy Spirit through the true teaching Word and the laying on of the hand of the pastor.
Do not neglect using the gifts of Holy Spirit to do the ministry, or else there is curse and eternal perdition.
Jeremiah 48:10a
48:10 Cursed is he who does the work of the LORD deceitfully,
The true attitude is we must be faithful and fervent in spirit using the gifts of Holy Spirit to do the ministry.
If we are shepherded well, we will become the servant of God who is holy, faithful, and fervent in spirit. It means we become as the flame of fire.
Hebrews 1:7
1:7 And of the angels He says: "Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flameof fire."
The throne of God is as the flame of fire.
Daniel 7:9
7:9. "I watched till thrones were put in place, And the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, And the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, Its wheels a burning fire;
Thus, the servant of God who is holy, faithful, and fervent in spirit is the throne of God. Every ministry must be in the atmosphere of the throne of God and we become the apple of God’s eye.
Revelation 1:14
1:14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire;
If we minister to God without holiness and faithfulness, there will be the throne of Satan in the ministry. Consequently, one becomes stumbling block that will be drowned in the sea of fire and brimstone. Do not minister to God carelessly.
Zechariah 2:7-8
2:7 "Up, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon."
2:8 For thus says the LORD of hosts: "He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.
The apple of God’s eye is one who is protected from the sins of Babylon, so he can live in righteousness and holiness. We are also protected from antichrist that will reign over the world for three years and six months.
- We receive the great love of the Great Shepherd.
John 10:11
10:11"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.
John 15:13
15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
The function of the great love of God is as follows.
- The love of God is sovereign, so nothing may “colonize”.
Deuteronomy 7:8
7:8 "but because the LORD loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
The love of God is able to deliver us from the sins, up to the peak, namely the sins concerning eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage.
- The love of God sticks in us and nothing may fight against it.
Romans 8:35-39
8:35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
8:36 As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."
8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
8:38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
8:39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The love of God makes us not separated from Him although we are facing all things of the world. The love of God gives us victory over all problems, even the impossible one.
- The love of God cannot be defeated.
Zephaniah 3:16-17
3:16 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: "Do not fear; Zion, let not your hands be weak.
3:17 The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."
The love of God cannot be defeated by the flesh. It makes us faithful and fervent in spirit doing our service and ministry to God until the end line.
The great love of God renews us from carnal man to spiritual one as Jesus is. It begins from obedience, until we are perfect as the Bride of God.
God blesses you.
