Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We still continue to
the functions of the Ascensionas follows.
- Jesus ascends to heaven to prepare a place for us.
John 14:2
14:2 "In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Our duty in the world now is preparing place for Jesus by being His body through actively ministering to God in the edification of Christ's body. It begins from the marriage, shepherding, inter-shepherding, until entering the perfect body of Christ. When Jesus comes a second time, the Head will be one with the body. We see Jesus on the glorious clouds to be with Him forever.
- Jesus ascends to heaven to be the High Priest.
Hebrews 2:17
2:17 Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
As the High priest, Jesus performs the ministry to make propitiation for the sins of the people. Sin is a separator that separates man from others and God. It brings the everlasting perdition in the hell.
- Jesus ascends to heaven with the following two promises.
Acts 1:8-11
1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
1:9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
1:10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,
1:11 who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."
- Pouring Holy Spirit to help us so that we can be the witness of Jesus. It starts from the household, before other people at school, in the church, in the office, and so on, until we become the light of the world. We can be as perfect as Jesus is. Do not gossip, or else you will decrease and perish.
- Jesus will come soon a second time to pick up or lift us up to heaven to be with Him forever.
To be able to welcome Jesus' second coming, we must learn to see Him through our worship prayer from now on.
Psalm 24:3-624:3. Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place?
24:4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.
24:5 He shall receive blessing from the LORD, And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
24:6 This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah The requirements of worshiping God are as follows:
- The heart must be holy or pure and peaceful.
There is no more desire of wickedness or money which causes stinginess or not being able to give and greediness or seizing the right of others. We can return the possession of God, namely the tithes and offerings. We can give for the work of God and others who are in need until we can give our whole life to Him.
There are no uncleanness and bitterness or envy, hatred, and revenge also.
To be holy, we need the sanctification Word, namely the true teaching Word which is sharper than any two-edged sword and taken from the Bible through a verse that explains other verse in the Bible.
- The holy hands. It means that the deeds are sanctified to be righteous and good as well as the ones which can be blessings for others.
- The holy mouth. It means that the sayings are sanctified, so there are no more idle words, lies, and gossips. We only say the righteous, holy, and good words that become blessings for others.
If the heart, hand, and mouth are holy, we will be able to ascend to the mountain of God or worship Him and see His face.
Therefore, we must hear the Word first before worshiping Him so that our heart, mind, deeds, and sayings are sanctified.
The results of worshiping or looking at God are as follows:
- There is no opportunity to see other things which cause the spiritual deterioration. The more we worship God, the more we see Jesus and ascend to meet Him on the glorious clouds. We can see Him face to face.
Hebrews 12:14-15
12:14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:
12:15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;
The other things mean as follows:
- The mistakes of other people. Looking at them will cause the bitterness of heart, trouble, and uncleanness. In such condition, one cannot look at himself, so he cannot do the introspection in himself. He also cannot look at God.
- The morsel of food or physical things.
Hebrews 12:16-17
12:16 lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.
12:17 For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.
Looking at the morsel of food or physical things, one will sacrifice the spiritual ones to get the physical things like Esau, who is said as a profane person or fornicator spiritually.
Consequently, the birthright is gone. It means that one loses everything. He only cries in the world until he perishes forever. He seems to get the physical things, but actually he cannot enjoy consuming them.
- The waves of temptations and false teachings which cause one to be doubtful until he decreases and sinks in the lake of fire.
- The rain of blessings or Holy Spirit and the river or fountain of living water.
Psalm 24:5
24:5 He shall receive blessing from the LORD, And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Ezekiel 34:26
34:26 "I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing.
The functions of Holy Spirit are as follows:
- Bringing the flow of the physical and spiritual life.
Ezekiel 47:8-10
47:8Then he said to me: "This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed.
47:9 "And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes.
47:10 "It shall be that fishermen will stand by it from En Gedi to En Eglaim; they will be places for spreading their nets. Their fish will be of the same kinds as the fish of the Great Sea, exceedingly many.
Physically, there is the guarantee of life assurance every day in the world which is full of difficulties now until the time when the Antichrist reigns over the world for three and a half years and we have the eternal life in the heavenly kingdom.
Spiritually, we can live in righteousness in the midst of sins in the world. We can be the armor of righteousness or the servants of God who serve to Him faithfully and fervently in spirit.
- Giving satisfaction, so we do not look for the other satisfaction in the world. We do not fall in sins, but live in righteousness. We can also worship God and testify for Him.
John 4:14-15
4:14 "but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."
4:15 The woman said to Him, "Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw."
- Bringing the flow of the heavenly glory. It means changing the fleshly men into the spiritual ones like Jesus. It refers to the spiritual miracle that begins from being honest and believing God. Then, the physical miracle will also happen.
Revelation 22:1
22:1. And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Mark 5:22-23,35-36
5:22 And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet
5:23 and begged Him earnestly, saying, "My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live."
5:35 While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue's house who said, "Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?"
5:36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Do not be afraid; only believe."
John 11:39-40
11:39 Jesus said, "Take away the stone." Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, "Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days."
11:40 Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?"
The physical miracle also happens that the failure is changed into success and the destruction into beauty.
The last miracle happens when Jesus comes a second time that we are changed to be as glorious as He is and worthy to welcome His coming. We meet Him face to face on the glorious clouds. We are with Him forever and never separated from Him.
Revelation 21:11
21:11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.
God blesses you.
