Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 16:8-9
16:8. Then the fourth angelpoured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire.
16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of Godwho has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.
The fourth bowl was poured on the sun to become fire to scorch men (it is explained in Bible Study Service in Malang, May 19, 2022).
Matthew 5:44-45,485:44."But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
5:45 "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun riseon the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
5:48 "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
The sun refers to the great, just, and perfect love of God that is radiated to the sinful men so that they can be as perfect as Jesus is.
If men, including the servants of God, reject the love of God, they will surely get the fourth bowl of God's wrath.
1 Peter 1:18-191:18.knowing that you were not redeemedwith corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conductreceived by tradition from your fathers,
1:19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
The useless and despicable life has gotten such a great love through the redemption by the precious blood of Jesus, so we are precious before God.
Being redeemed, what must we do? We must glorify God with our body and spirit which are God's.
1 Corinthians 6:19-206:19.Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
6:20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
God asks the accountability about His great love that has redeemed us as follows:
- Glorifying Him.
Revelation 22:11b
22:11b. he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still."
We glorify Him through living in righteousness and holiness up to the perfection, so we are set free from the fire of God's judgment and we can get the eternal life. The love of God keeps on illuminating us up to the eternal life.
- Not glorifying God or increasing in wickedness and uncleanness, one will be the dog in fornication, and so on.
Revelation 22:11a,15
22:11a."He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still;
22:15 But outside are dogsand sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
It has happened all over the world that rejects the great love of God, so the sun becomes the scorching fire.
Revelation 16:9
16:9. And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of Godwho has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.
Being punished already, men still do not repent until being unable to repent; even they blaspheme God. Such people are outside the love of God or the heavenly kingdom and will perish in the fire of the hell.
On the contrary, the woman of Canaan had been sinful like dog, but she still wanted to be changed.
Matthew 15:21-22,26-28
15:21.Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon.
15:22 And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed."
15:26 But He answered and said, "It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs."
15:27 And she said, "Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbswhich fall from their masters' table."
15:28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, "O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
The Lord chastened her through the daughter who was severely demon-possessed. She did not get the scorching fire yet, but she could repent and change from dog to the sheep that was shepherded by God through eating the crumbs.
The crumbs refer to the revelation of God's Word and the Holy Communion.
1 Timothy 1:12-17
1:12.And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,
1:13 although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
1:14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.
1:15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
1:16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to thosewho are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.
1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
Saul, who had been insolent, could get the sunshine of the great love of God, so he could repent and change to be the servant of God who glorified Him through the two following things:
- Verse 16 = becoming pattern to the sinful people, so they could believe Jesus and receive the eternal life.
- Verse 17 = worshiping Jesus as the King and Heavenly Bridegroom through saying "Alleluia".
Ones who are not renewed by the water baptism cannot worship God with saying "Alleluia".
The results are as follows:
- The criminal could repent and confess sin to God and other people.
Luke 23:40-43
23:40.But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?
23:41 "And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong."
23:42 Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom."
23:43 And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."
'Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.' = worshiping Jesus as the King.
We defeat sins and live in righteousness. This is the great spiritual miracle.
The atmosphere of curse is changed into the one of paradise. Weariness and heavy burden can be easy and light.
- The physical miracles happen.
Isaiah 43:15-17
43:15.I am the LORD, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King."
43:16 Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters,
43:17 Who brings forth the chariot and horse, The army and the power (They shall lie down together, they shall not rise; They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick):
Jesus is able to divide the Red Sea. It means giving us solution of all impossible problems. The power of the King cannot be defeated by anything. We receive the beautiful successful future life. We are used in the edification of the perfect Christ's body.
When Jesus comes a second time, we will be changed to be as perfect as He is for being worthy to welcome His second coming on the glorious clouds. We shout for joy, saying "Alleluia".
Revelation 19:6-7
19:6.And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!
19:7 "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."
We enter the marriage supper of the Lamb, the One-Thousand-Year Kingdom of Peace or the upcoming Paradise, and the New Jerusalem. We are set free from the scorching fire in the world and the fire of the hell.
The power of the King does not change until now. The criminal can be the inhabitant of Paradise. Let us hope His unlimited grace and power.
God blesses you.
