Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 11:7-1211:7 When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.
11:8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
11:9 Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves.
11:10 And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.
11:11 Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.
11:12 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here."And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.
Verse 7-10 are about the two witnesses are killed.
Verse 11 is about the two witnesses stood on their feet.
Verse 12:is about the two witnesses ascended to heaven.
The two witnesses or Moses and Elijah ascended to heaven.
Where are they? They are on the right hand and the left of Jesus.
Mark 10:35-38,4010:35 Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Him, saying, "Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask."
10:36 And He said to them, "What do you want Me to do for you?"
10:37 They said to Him, "Grant us that we may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on Your left, in Your glory."
10:38 But Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?" 10:40 "but to sit on My right hand and on My leftis not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared."
Moses and Elijah did not ask for their right like James and John.
In the Tabernacle, the two witnesses refer to the two cherubim. Moses is the first cherub, Elijah is the second cherub, and Jesus is the mercy seat.
So, the two cherubim cannot be separated from the mercy seat.
Why were the prayer of James and John to sit on the right hand and the left of Jesus not answer by God? He did not answer their prayer because it was not in line with the will of God even though it seemed good.
Therefore, we must give thanks, because in the prayer service, we hear the word of God first so that our prayer is in line with His will.
The facts found in the prayer which is not in line with the will of God are as follows:
- The prayer of James and John that is encouraged by the will of the flesh.
Mark 10:35-38
10:35 Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Him, saying, "Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask."
10:36 And He said to them, "What do you want Me to do for you?"
10:37 They said to Him, "Grant us that we may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on Your left, in Your glory."
10:38 But Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?"
The will of the flesh which cannot be controlled anymore will become the lust of the flesh, so one prioritizes the position, popularity, and greatness more than the will of God and the need.
Mark 10 tells about the ministry to God. James and John should have asked Jesus how to serve and minister to Him.
Finally, James realized that his prayer was encouraged by the will of the flesh, so it was not answered by God.
James 4:3
4:3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
When one's prayer is only encouraged by the will and the lusts of the flesh more than the will of God and his need, after he gets the things that he asks in the prayer, he will forget and does not prioritize God anymore; even he fights against or turns his back to God until he leaves Him. He also oppresses the other people.
Satan can answer the prayer which is not in line with the will of God. The proof is that one leaves God and hurts the other people.
Therefore, our prayer must be in line with the will of God.
John 15:7
15:7 "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
If we keep the word of God in our life and we pray according to His will and our need, our prayer will be answered by Him.
Men often ask for the right for their arrogance. Be careful! The prayer must be according to the will of God and our need.
If our prayer is according to the will of God and our need, He will answer our prayer directly.
For example, Bartimaeus prayed so that he received his sight, not the other thing. His prayer was in line with the will of God and his need.
Mark 10:51
10:51 So Jesus answered and said to him, "What do you want Me to do for you?" The blind man said to Him, "Rabboni, that I may receive my sight."
Bartimaeus was blind, but after he was healed, he could see Jesus. It means that the impossible things can be made possible and we keep on prioritizing God and without arrogance. We do not hurt other people.
- John the apostle was thrown away to the Patmos Island because of the word of God (the Table of Showbread) and the testimony of Jesus (the Golden Candlestick) but he did not have the Golden Altar of Incense.
Revelation 1:9
1:9 I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Being without the Golden Altar of Incense means that one does not want to worship God or the worship prayer still does not reach the measurement yet, namely the flesh does not speak anymore (the Veil is torn). It means that the flesh still speaks or has the fear, doubt, and worry. It makes men unable to be obedient, faithful, and righteous to God and the other people.
John the apostle loved God and he was loved by God, but he did not worship Him yet, moreover us. We must be careful!
If men only have the Table of Showbread and the Golden Candlestick, they will become the target of the Antichrist.
Revelation 12:17
12:17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of Godand have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
There are two possibilities as follows:
- Many people will worship the Antichrist. When Jesus comes for the second time, they will be destroyed.
- The men who do not want to worship the Antichrist are persecuted until they are beheaded to fulfill the measurement of God, namely until the flesh does not speak anymore. They will be resurrected when Jesus comes for the second time.
So, it is better to worship God now rather than being thrown away to the Patmos Island to make us worship Him.
Therefore, the supplication prayer must be increased to the worship prayer until it reaches the measurement of God, namely the flesh does not speak anymore. So, we experience the life renewal up to the perfection like Jesus and John the apostle in the Patmos Island.
Revelation 1:17
1:17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feetas dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.
Being afraid is the characteristic of the flesh that makes men fight against God, and have negative thinking toward God and other people.
God permitted John the apostle to be thrown away to Patmos so that he experienced the increasing of the prayer from the supplication prayer to the worship prayer. The worship prayer was increased also to be kneeling down at the feet of Jesus. So, he experienced the life renewal from being afraid to having the fear of God.
The meanings of having the fear of God are as follows:
- Hating sins up to the lies. It means living in the righteousness.
Proverbs 8:13
8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.
Lying, one is not righteous yet.
- Being obedient and faithful.
Ecclesiastes 12:13
12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man's all.
Living in righteousness, obedience, and faithfulness is the same as the rod of David like Jesus.
Isaiah 11:1-3
11:1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
11:2 The Spirit of the LORD(1)shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom(2)and understanding(3), The Spirit of counsel(4)and might(5), The Spirit of knowledge(6)and of the fear of the LORD(7).
11:3 His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears.
Jesus has the fear of God and He is anointed by Holy Spirit with the seven manifestations like the burning lamp.
Likewise, when we are righteous, obedient, and faithful to God and other people, we will always be anointed by Holy Spirit.
The functions of Holy Spirit are as follows:
- Holy Spirit is the Spirit of comfort to comfort us, so we always give thanks to Him. Holy Spirit gives us extra power to face everything in the world. We are strong and courageous or not disappointed. We do not leave God, but we keep righteous, obedient, and faithful.
Let us keep the rod, so it does not die, but can grow and bear fruits.
- Holy Spirit is the helper to help us especially to pray to God.
Romans 8:26
8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
We confess that we are not worthy and unable so we will experience the miracle of God.
Revelation 3:7-8
3:7 "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, 'These things says He who is holy, He who is true, "He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens":
3:8 "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
Holy Spirit is able to help us, so there is beautiful and successful future life.
- Holy Spirit is the spirit of glory that changes us to the perfection. It means that there is no sin anymore until we do not stumble in words anymore. We only rejoice by saying "Alleluia" to welcome the second coming of Jesus until we enter the New Jerusalem forever.
God blesses you.
