To coincide with Fasting Prayer Service session IIIExodus 29:129:1. "And this is what you shall do to them to hallow them for ministering to Me as priests: Take one young bull and two rams without blemish, Being consecrated means being sanctified and employed by God to give our life to Him.
The requirement of being consecrated by God is we must bring animal offerings as follows.
- Young bull = peace or sin offering.
- First ram = surrendering offering.
- Second ram = consecration offering.
All of the animal offerings have been fulfilled by the sacrifice of Christ on the cross.
Now we learn about
the surrendering offering.Exodus 29:16, 1829:16 "and you shall kill the ram, and you shall take its blood and sprinkle it all around on the altar.
29:18 "And you shall burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD; it is a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD.
The full surrendering offering is to produce sweet aroma before God.
The blood of the first ram is sprinkled all around on the altar to result in sanctification, namely
to prevent sinful deeds which are to come.
Hebrews 12:112:1.Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Ministering to God means running the spiritual race to get eternal crown and life.
What do we have to heed?
- Do not minister carelessly.
Making light of the ministry, one feels the heavy life in the world.
- Do not leave the service and ministry.
Being failed in the race, one cannot get eternal life but forever perdition.
The requirement of running the spiritual race is as follows.
- Laying aside every weight and sin.
We can be sanctified from past sins through confessing them.
- Being sanctified from the sin which so easily ensnares us.
We must always remember the blood of Jesus in order not to fall in sin.
There are three kinds of sin which so easily ensnares us as follows.
- The love of money.
1 Timothy 6:9-10
6:9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
The facts found in it are as follows.
- Seeking money in illegal ways.
- Stinginess (one cannot give) and greediness (seizing the possession of God and other people).
- Uncleanness.
Proverbs 7:10, 21-23
7:10 And there a woman met him, With the attire of a harlot, and a crafty heart.
7:21 With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, With her flattering lips she seduced him.
7:22 Immediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter, Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks,
7:23 Till an arrow struck his liver. As a bird hastens to the snare, He did not know it would cost his life.
Be alert of the sins of Babylon in our friendship, marriage, et cetera. Do not make God ashamed with our deeds or words.
- Other teachings.
Deuteronomy 12:29-30
12:29" When the LORD your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land,
12:30 "take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, 'How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.'
Ephesians 5:1-25:1. Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.
5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet–smelling aroma.
Why is it called the full surrendering offering? Because it points to Jesus Himself who has given His life to God through humbling Himself and obeying Him to the point of death as a sweet-smelling aroma before Him.
The sweet-smelling aroma is in His humbleness and obedience to the point of death in the cross.
For the servants of God, the sweet-smelling aroma is in the humbleness and obedience until the flesh does not speak anymore.
Being disobedient, one cannot obey God but spread bad odor and the aroma of death.
Keeping sin or fault, one cannot be humble and obedient but arrogant and rebellious.
Romans 8:158:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." The humble and obedient servant of God can be anointed by Holy Spirit until there is reserve oil.
Having the anointing oil, we can minister to God solemnly without spiritual dryness or boredom. Being obedient means lifting up our hand and God will stretch His hand to perform miracles as follows.
- Spiritually, we are renewed from carnal men to spiritual ones.
It is as a burning lamp, meaning we are willing to sacrifice all things, except the true teaching Word, in order to minister in the building of Christ’s body.
We become the witness of God. We are faithful and fervent in spirit doing our ministry according to the priest’s office He has given us.
1 Timothy 4:14
4:14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.
- Physically, He is able to create all things and make possible the impossible matters.
The life path of a holy priest who are humble, obedient, and in the anointing of Holy Spirit is in miracles. The last path is when Jesus comes a second time that we are renewed to become as glorious as He is and exalted to glorious clouds.
God blesses you.
